I just recently invested in a Henry Compact. I got him yesterday and I have to admit, I am impressed.
Fantastic review. I purchased mine right after watching
Thank you for your very thorough and friendly review, I enjoyed watching this video so much that I'm even excited about purchasing this vacuum! 🙂
Thanks for watching.
After seeing this video, it's official I personally perfer bagged vacuum cleaners over bagless! I was giving Shark and other bagless vacuums the benefit of the doubt. Yet, this video definitely reconfirm why I like bags.
Why?
Thanks for the review! I was thinking about getting the Miele C3 Cat & Dog, but now I'm also considering this one. Which do you think is better? I don't need it so much for carpets, but I do have a big dog with a lot of hair😅
I think when it's time to replace the pre-motor filter on my Henry Allergy, I will replace it with Henry Pet pre-motor to take advantage of the odor elemination. My favorite thing aside from the power of these machines, is how quiet they are.
Just ordered this one. Hopefully it doesn't disappoint. I also hope filter lasts for a decent amount of time because I don't see where I can buy replacements of it in my country.
I know this is an old video, just bought the pet version in Uk, Works very well for hoovering the car and also low pile carpet tiles, Can you recommend any add on tool to use on longer carpet pile as have the small turbo head and one non turbo larger head and it’s way to hard work on long carpet, Also any advice regarding the metal tubes as they fall apart when using, how hay am I missing 🤔
Henry is one of the best canister cleaners. The one thing it's lacking is a way to connect an electric power nozzle. It would be really interesting to try Henry with one of the battery powered nozzles, I think that would clean really well.
QUESTION! I have cat & dog fur, and quite a bit of kitty litter, mostly in cheap berber carpet (no thick stuff.)
You have a best recommendation for under $500? (Or half that, for that matter?) Good ol' $400 James? Bigger $475 Henry Compact? Henry Petcare is $650 Canadian...
...but if I'm going to have an expensive vacuum for 20 years, I'll need to handle DEEP carpet in the future, so I should aim for
Henry is one of the best straight suction canister is on the market
having trouble finding this in the US. Amazon has it shipping in a month +. Any help?
Is the charcoal odor filter the only difference between the Henry Petcare and the Henry Extra? I have medium pile, wall to wall carpet so I do want a floor tool with a rotating brush, but it's older and not plush so I'm thinking the rotating brush head won't be too hard to push. Or could you recommend a similarly priced vacuum with great filtration if you don't think Henry is right for wall to wall carpeting? I would love to replace my Dyson fail with a Henry and I love the price too. You've opened my eyes to a world of vacuums I didn't know still existed, so thank you sm for these videos!
You can add a power nozzle to Henry. Watch performance views latest video.

The US petcare has a small pet tool too. But the larger henry's, aka the 200, have a bigger metal floor nozzle. I think the petcare model is the best overall value and is small for stairs.
How does this unit compare to the Allergy model ?
@Performance Reviews
Which upright vacuum cleaner do you rate as one of the best? My Dyson Ball has had its day after around 20 years. It still works but I need to replace 2 parts again so would rather get a new model. A reply would be very much appreciated.
I'd like to clarify that Dyson has not been making those models that long. Most likely closer to 10-12 years old at best.
Here is a playlist of recommended vacuum cleaners.

@@PerformanceReviews That was a typo and thank you very much for link.
Hey preformance reviews I would like your opinion on a vacuum that is now obsolete it was called the garry vacuum if you remember it at all or you could talk about it in a video greatly appreciate it
That's a very obscure machine. We often talk about things like this in our Discord server Link in the description of this video.
@@PerformanceReviews I’m about to buy my Henry petcare vacuum today. I’ve been saving for it and it’s on a discount on Amazon for $418.
Do you think I should invest in the two year protection plan??
What do you think about the reusable bags Numatic makes? I ordered one for the heck of it .
That defeats the whole idea of a bag.
The idea of the bag is so you don't have to touch the dirt and it provides proper air flow to the motor.
If you have to empty and wash it every time you use it and it doesn't filter as well and shortens motor life what's the point?
@@PerformanceReviews well it's more that Numatic themselves makes it, you can order it on their website. I saw it while on the hunt for their active charcoal filter for my Henry and figured for 10 bucks I could just write it off as an experiment. Was just curious because the website mentioned you just wash it occasionally not always
Oh, I see they renewed the nozzle in the US too. I think the older tool was better IMO.
Having used both tools this is way better for pickup capability. Personally I prefer a floor nozzle like the RD285
Totally agree. I have all the ones they have sold in the states and I much prefer the first two. The original one that is just a rectangle with two pedals is actually my favorite. They also made it in two different sizes, a 10 1/2 and 12 inch versions. I used this latest one for about a month and haven’t touched it since. It’s a much cheaper tool.
What are the differences between the Petcare and the Xtra, aside from the canister's color?
A handheld turbo tool and charcoal filter.
Here's a video showing the differences between all the Henry compact us lineup.

I just ordered mine, hopefully it lives up to the hype! My current vacuum is a Simplicity Symmetry which was wonderful on the carpet in my last apartment but is truly awful on the hard flooring in my current apartment (even with a hard floor wand attachment). I have 2 cats and the Simplicity definitely emits a funky smell when I run it so hopefully the filter on this will prevent that.
Do vacmaster Henry next
Great idea!
What state are you located in?
What are your thoughts on this compared to the Miele C1 Turbo Team?
He said to me that they are pretty comparable. IMO the Henry has the longer cord and the pet tool, but I think the miele moves easier and has a variable speed control and also can easily add a hepa exhaust filter.
While I'm sure there are some perks to this vacuum, I'm not seeing why I should buy this over the Miele C1 for $375. Unless you can point me in the direction of anyone that can service this locally like my Miele dealer, I'm not finding any quick links to getting replacement filters. Sure, the motor is rated 2x longer. Even if I use that professionally, that's like 10 years vs 20 years.
There's nothing wrong with getting a C1 The equivalent C1 is the Blue Turbo C1 model. Henry's can be service locally pretty much every vacuum dealer can get parts that are widely distributed through the US. Call up your local vacuum store and see if they have an account with a company called Steel City.
@@PerformanceReviews I think I'm slowly coming around to your point of view. So, yeah, I've trashed talked you before, but you won lol.
Henry Petcare is $330 right now,
Top Kek approved.
