Everyone complaining about the voice, get a grip it's a free audio book, be appreciative and stop being so complaintive and either make your own or atleast critique in a civil way, I didn't care for it either bUT I still appreciate the effort put in and I'm sure they'll learn and make better content in the future

A free audiobook that I literally can’t understand is worth less than nothing. Wish I hadn’t wasted my time on the first 15 minutes

I first disliked the voice of the narrator but it grew to me, and it somehow fits with the story. Great job.

The robot voices are so over the top and old-school cartoony. I love it. Hilarious.

I remember in 62and63 when I was in first grade second grade we had to dive under desk periodically and tuck and roll what fun for a young impressionable mind to be scared of burning to death I think they I want to bring it back for future generations to experience

Do you know? I've heard two persons read this story and just one of them pronounced the robots nickname correctly. Because they are supposedly fighting a nuclear war they are 'armoured' with LEAD - the element LEAD, Latin Plumbum. So therefore, they are called 'Leadies or Ledy's. I can't remember now, but the other reader pronounced Lead as in a dog lead or in leader. Bloody nuisance!

I'd lay odds that every complainer is aged below the age of thirty.

A good story. Too bad about the overdone effects on the robotic voices.

Is it just me or is it really hard to understand those awful robot voices? I found a different version with normal robots, however as Edward Maic's comment states, I think the robots are supposed to be "lead-ies" as in lead, the metal protecting from radiation, which is mispronounced in the other version. Sigh... well, I still will have to listen to the one I actually can understand.

Eh...having added those robot sounds and that 50s style art takes away from the book.

Strange. The Galactic Pot Healer is an awesome read, fascinating and philosophical. This here reads like a children's bed time story - and they all held hands and solved world hunger and peace. Or maybe I'm just annoyed at the robotic narrator's voice. Don't know why he felt the need to warp his voice for long passages to make it barely decipherable and irritatingly daft when his natural voice was plenty robotic. PKD normally leaves such a nice after taste but this reader sure made a mockery of art. Disgusting.
