I just finished my first chemistry class and got these all correct pretty easily, you'll get there! Even after one class just focus studying on the tricky subjects
Question 5... even if you don't know the number of chiral centres...... the only 2^n answer was 8.... would have been more fun if one of the possible choices was 4 or 2...
lol. U probably haven’t used this information in years so u wouldn’t need to remember it. If u were using it everyday and forgot it then that would be an issue
Let me start off by saying I'm not a native speaker and never even heard of half these words before, I took a chem classes in school a while ago but never got that deep into it. That being said, I'm a little confused about Nr. 6, of course I don't know what a meso compound even really is but the way you explained it I would have assumed mirroring it meant also flipping the orientation of the Br, making "d" the correct solution
To get a little bit more precise regarding meso, you have to have the two chiral centers being on opposite configurations (R/S). If you do the configuration on those, you'll see that one will be R and the other will be S. Then, if you do a total flipp of the molecule (mirror) you'll see that the R and S will be opposite, and therefore will give the same molecule (because of the symmetry). Option d doesn't work because they're both on either RR or SS configuration, meaning it can be diastereisomeres if you mirror it. A meso is always with R and S.
Hey Dave. I realize this is an academic video but I thought I would have q better chance for you to see my comment/question. What are your thoughts about Simon Holland and the BLC project?
If your goal is to drive traffic to your video for the answer, at least suggest that it say it. The work comment section feels like they are left with cliff hanger.
Unrelated but could you maybe do a video on Rupert Sheldrake's 'deleted Ted Talk' about 'exposing scientific dogma'? I want to hear your thoughts about it in your usual organised way
Meanwhile:- A JEE aspirant solving in 10 seconds. And JEE teachers explaining fantastically in less than 30 seconds. 😁😁😁 Note :- This is not Boasting. It is the high level knowledge of Aspirants as well as teachers.

When the title is a question, the answer is no.
This is a great resource for my current MCAT study thanks!
You should do a video about creative society, The rabbit hole is crazy.
I have a PhD in mechanical engineering, I scored zero and I also don't know why I am here (just fan of the channel I guess)😂

Me too! 😂
Thank you so much for all of your contribution to education!!!❤

Simon Holland and the BLC project?
As a matter of fact, I sure can't.
The first term of Organic chemistry was the only class I got a C in during undergrad. I still have nightmares about that class.
I got 100%.
Yep did it
man i have a sociology degree. are chemists doing summoning rituals in their textbooks wtf is this
im not educated to that point yet.
Best teacher ❤
No.
On nr. 5 I'm only seeing 7 of the 8 stereoisomers. 2 on the first kiral center, 2 on the second and 3 on the third.
I've only watched a few of your chemistry videos, but I could do most of these. I didn't know what meso meant.
thanks dave I love organic chemistry(I am not joking it is chill)

I feel so lost watching this, yet so intrigued to try and understand even 1% of all those funny words
i only got 1 wrong yay
Didn't take organic in such a long time lol

Hahaha, nope I'll probably guess one correctly.
word
I can’t even spell it correctly
more awesome chem content. :D
Can you do a thing on Chris Langan? He seems kind of SUS, has the audacity to claim over 200IQ, yet has no real credentials.
I'm completely Tour-pilled and I just imagine him whining about this over and over
I got 68? Made silly mistakes could have been 80ish
Yes, unfortunately we have to study this to clear jee indian exam for university 😅
Still no. Good luck to anyone studying, though!
Gg
93/100 ez
Nope I sure can't
I got only 45 😅
Kkkkkk
There's a lot of internet people who knows the answer.
Let's wait!
Kkkkkk
No
I got 74/100 am I a failure?
Thanks for the revision though this was great!
Nope
In all honesty all this is meaningless. lol
