Thank you so very much for contributing to the conversation my friend. One size will not fit all of them. It will not be an easy transition but with an open mind and an attitude to learn they will survive for many years
God bless you Ms Bev, you are not a selfish person. You are encouraging the teachers who are coming up to teach. You are giving them all the information that they will need to survive in the USA. Yes the expectation in the classroom. Carry a book 📙 and drop things down. Love how you interact with your students, and with the teachers. Your uplifting words mean a lot to those teacher's. Onward and Upward everytime Ms Bev, keep doing what you do best. Peace ✌ out Bev Brown say that
Blessings to you and family sis bev... Its very nice of you to encourage the new teachers, they need it as just entering a new country ca be bewildering...the culture the language etc and most of all the climate... Very good of you to tell(show) them the ropes....may god bless you for that..
This is so cool maam. Not all do what you are doing. I hope everyone be like you that isnt selfish to share your knowledge or experiences to help others too. Your advice is very helpful especially those first timers who want to work in the US public schools.
When I left Jamaica to live in this interesting country there was a lot I had to learn in order to even start the process for college. Knowledge is power. Without a sense of knowing, everything seem harder to maneuver. Thank you for appreciating ❤️
A warning to all teachers thinking of going to the UK or the USA. Do not do it.!!!!! I tell you now that having lived in both countries, the salaries for teachers in both counties don’t even go remotely near affordability in either of these countries. Your bills will outstrip your salary. Rent, energy, travel, food are all outrageously expensive in both countries. Also, the children are undisciplined and you cannot discipline them. The workload is ridiculous with preparation. Stay at home in Jamaica if you can and make the best of what you have. Believe me, you will make yourself poorer in the long run as you will never be able to afford to buy a home in these countries, not on a teacher’s salary. Don’t catch yourself in 30 years time in this situation where you are retiring and in poverty. It’s a scam. There is a reason why native people in uk and USA don’t teach. Think on it.
First, let me say welcome to the MBP family. Thank you for subscribing and liking the video. Then , thank you for your contribution to the conversation . Valid point made there, sir......always mind boggling to me why individuals never stopped to wonder why recruiters are having the need to find them when there are qualified teachers who are running...yes running from classrooms in droves. I just quit my math position after an undisciplined student threatened my life. But as it relates to Jamaican teachers happily taking these positions I think their focus is not to own or establish themselves in the country but rather to make tough sacrifices and send most of their salaries back home where it will accomplish much.
Hello, as a Jamaican teacher how would I get pass the proof of employment verification, when the Jamaican government uses the terminology “permanent teacher” on my letter, however the organization requires the terminology “full time teacher”?
As it relates to the process, there is not much to guide you on. I know when I invited my friend to apply at my school, I had to pay to get her transcript evaluated so they could determine if he course work was equivalent to a Bachelors degree here. Employment verification is just for you to get a letter on the ministry's letter head stating how long you have been working and the capacity you have been working in.
@@msbevsproductions Yes they are giving a hard time because the Jamaican government has their rules about their terminology while the agency I use have their rules for their terminology and I am wondering how persons that have succeeded got pass this problem ?
Good advice for the new teachers. I wish them all the best.
Likewise.
Good advice for those who are leaving Jamaica. They need to come with an open mind and be ready to learn in a new environment.

Permanent and full time same thing.

Is the agency giving you a hard time? If not do not be afraid. That is good.
Good luck in your endeavors. Stay focused. Don't be afraid. Follow your heart. Give yourself a chance
