This demo of the product has made me buy it online tonight and I'm having a ball with it, albeit learning sloooowly! Let's not underestimate the genius of the raw talent going on here. Deserving of a mention. Pure brilliant!
Oh my god... i had no idea my software could do all of this!!! this is so unbelievable. Thank you so much for these tutorials. They really help unlock the magic of this program.
@BeKoed Thanks for the comments. I have been "Keytaring" for a few decades now.Keyboard magazine did a story back in 89 on my all Keytar band( plus drummer). And yes, you need a keyboard background to play this efficiently.
@thepianoman222 Thanks for the kind words! It REALLY is amazing what you can do with these soft synths.Hope you are still having a blast with this! When you have a second visit the musiclab website, there are new videos and more tips! again, Thanks::)
sigh i got a keyboard and i was thinking i wanna do distortion with an electric guitar.but heck, after watching this guy shred his keytar...i shit my pants.who needs a guitar when you can get a keytar.hell yeah i'll add this to the cart when i go music shopping next time.
Just when I thought I would have the right to tell you to take off that Stones shirt and put on a Cyndi Lauper or Devo shirt, you started this vid with a big ole "shut my mouth" riff. Pretty cool.............
love your video only comment is it's a bit hard looking at a keyboard upside down.. if you could place the keytar down on a table and filmed it from above that'd be great thanks for the great demo!
@ChaosNMK It sounds pretty impressive, and I admit I turned my nose up at it at first unfairly when I first saw this. But playing guitar is a very different and generally more organic experience. Also keep in mind this guy is an expert, knows the software and knows how to play keys very well, but parts still sound quite awkward. While it does well at capturing the sound, the "flow" of guitar is hard to emulate simply because of the difference in interface.
Jeff, Fantastic. I'm a full time keyboard player..and a set-up like yours would open more doors for work. Can you leave me a message over this in some way, as to what all would I need to duplcate what your using, software, computer, any hardware? Thanks, and keep on keeping on bro, your gifted.
@reedsoccer09 Actually, it's "Keytar, no hyphen. If you search for the keytar story in the london times, you will get more of the history, as well as my involvement with the name, and instrument.
@thispagesux If you view my videos, you will notice my top octaves sound GREAT. The lameness, you mention REALLY has more to do with understanding compression( or lack there of) and Q'ng.
I recently bought this software, but having trouble due to a delay. the sound is slow to come out when I hit the keys. What kind of computer do you use to make this work proper ?
LMAO!!! If that's the basics, I'm not even gonna try. LOL I'm still picking up pieces of what use to be my brain. Thanks for blowing our minds Jeff! LOL
Absolutely amazing playing and amazing instrument! 👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍

The same way you would from any keyboard, as long as you have a hosting application. Me i use Mainstage(1)

@3eneboy Thats a computer issue, not a software one.
I'm proud to play on a real guitar.

I recently bought this software, but having trouble due to a delay. the sound is slow to come out when I hit the keys. What kind of computer do you use to make this work proper ?
There are latency problems with certain versions of windows: ms just can't get it right.
