We have been backpacking and camping on the Olympic coast for nearly 50 years. It’s a fantastic place to experience!! Each hike has been a unique journey.
The Rainforest is so beautiful! Great shot of the owl. The moss is stunning! It was the perfect place to set the Twilight films. Robert Pattison grew up where i live in London. He was the local paper boy. 💞
The rainforest is a magical place! It’s almost hard to believe it’s real! We didn’t know he was a paperboy! That’s really cool! Sparkly vampire and even Batman! I’d say he’s doing good!
Washington State is a beautiful part of our country. Amazing nature and the scenery is beautiful. Once again thank you so much for sharing your adventures.
Wow! Can’t believe the crowd for the park at 10 in the morning. At you got in and you saw some elf. Sad they moved them but they needed too to protect their baby. Nice they have a few nature trails you can go on there.
The fish were tiny but fun to watch as they swim through the crystal clear water… they almost appear just to float in air sometimes the water is so clear
We loved our visit to that area several years ago but were super limited on time so it was nice to see more footage from your visit. Great wildlife shots. P.S. Team Edward over here. Lol!
It’s a beautiful area!!!! We wished we could have stayed longer… the time just seemed to fly by! The weather was sunny most of the time but we didn’t see anybody who sparkled unfortunately or fortunately???? Thank you for watching!
What was the accessibility deal with second beach that you visited? I use a manual wheelchair and wanna go but can’t find accessibility info about getting to the beach. 👀
Thanks so much for sharing this. I've read the books and enjoyed the movies as well. I actually have a friend who grew up in the area and until she mentioned that I thought it was a fictional place. I still chuckle every time she mentions going to La Push. 🤣 Loved the photo ops with 'be Bella' and all of the memorabilia. The beach looked amazing too. Will have to check it out if we ever make it to the area. 👍 -Aimee
You are so welcome! Jed isn’t a fan but all of these locations are beautiful! We can see why she chose this as this place for the series! Thank you for coming along!
That was cool seeing where they filmed Twilight! I never saw the movies. But I had friends that loved the movies. I would also call the Twihards Twilghters. That beach was awesome with the fog eerie but awesome with the fog. The Twilight people could come out! Lol! 😂😂😂
It was actually a barred owl. The spotted owl no longer exists in the park. The park actually stopped doing surveys for them because the last breeding pairs disappeared some time ago.
It definitely is unfortunate. The barred owls moved in and basically out competed and hunted them to extinction in the area. There are some theories, however, that some barred and spotted owls have hybridized in some cases.
The views are worth it even if you’re not a fan! I can see why the story takes place there! Really interesting and cool little town and the beach is amazing!!!
@@WanderfulRevolution Hwy 199 along the Smith River is beautiful. The river is one of the few rivers in the US that is completely undammed. So it’s a real jewel.
#8 - "...they are wild animals, it's not their fault" You mean the whole world is not like Disney land? The owl was probably retired from the Harry Potter movies. Looked old enough..... City of Forks. They should pass an ordnance not allowing spoons to be used at city restaurants. Can eat your soup only with sporks in forks. The twilight thing does not work for me.
Chris you are a marketing genius! We can only hope that some day a spoon exclusion zone will be set up by those who are pro fork!!! The owl still didn’t have my letter to Hogwarts!!!!
@@WanderfulRevolution Just remember when you go Hogwarts that older staff members have no problems putting you at risk of bodily harm, using you for magical experimentation and generally teaching you dysfunctional hyper competitive habits which will benefit your house at the expense of other houses. Otherwise it's a magical place of unicorns, potions and tables of endless food. P.S. Don't mind the dementors, they only drain the life energy of the presumed guilty..... I bet you know who only used sporks! PPS Would you like to have a flying van that muggles could not see?
I'm originally from Washington and i miss it. Awesome video man.
@@NickFaze872 thank you! We appreciate you watching!
That rainforest was pretty cool with that owl and the moss trees and seeing the little fish in the moss water.
We never see owls so we were very excited!

It’s a VERY busy section of the park! Definitely worth the visit though!
Best place in the world to live.

Cool owl. Nurse tree, interesting! Retired nurse here. You guys too. Foggy enough to set the scene! Almost didn’t see the fish!

Like I just wanna know how many steps there were, approximately? I can maneuver a few but not like a whole flight lol

The beach was our favorite thing about the area! There are a few other beaches nearby that we were Told are equally beautiful
The owl you saw was an endangered Northern spotted owl. They usually come out at night.
We saw one once before on Whidbey Island… they are beautiful and amazing creatures! Thank you for watching!
