    Finally got me a lock to try mine on after having it for 6 months. I didn't wanna try it out in the field. To my surprise it was fairly easy. After decoding it, I traced my key and was only off by 1 cut. Looking forward to using now. Thanks for the videos.

      Four lifter ones look intimidating but they aren’t usually to bad

    hey I've seen your other video where you picked the sonata lock, you used the same lishi tool but kinda differently than in this video, why?

      steve hope he said they’re checking with the distributor there to make sure there’s enough demand to mass produce it.

    So for the hy22 do you need to pick it back to the original position just like the hon66 for the key to go in and operate ?

  • @FirebrandVOCALS
    @FirebrandVOCALS 2 роки тому

    To get back over the 45 degree lock position, I've actual used a plug spinner a few times.... But caution is advised.

    do you know if there is a diffrent between hy22 to toy48? or its the same shit?

    Does the HY22 work on the new Kias? Blank #156?

    • @BoredLockpicker
      @BoredLockpicker  Рік тому +1

      You would need to figure out what the silca name for the blank is and that will tell you if it will work

  • @flipc6081

    Had a 17 Sportage that called for HY22. Wouldn't fit into the door cylinder. A properly cut toy48 worked fine. Kind of weird this lishi fits many Kias but not the sportage. Can't find any info and paying for a key code sucks.

    • @BoredLockpicker
      @BoredLockpicker  7 місяців тому

      Strange. Even the years around 17 are hy22. Maybe locks were changed or something. Did it fit in the ignition?

    • @flipc6081
      @flipc6081 7 місяців тому

      It is a prox, no ignition cylinder. The drivers door is the only lock. I definitely need to figure it out. I'm not paying over 40 bucks for a door key lol. I did notice on websites that sell the tool will list all the vehicles and the 17 sportage is not included.

      @BoredLockpicker I left that job already. The Hy18 is not a 4 track so it won't work. This lock has an A and B side.

  • @DFWAuto_Hack
    @DFWAuto_Hack 3 місяці тому

    You are just awesome at lishi. We should baptize you a chinese middle name.
    Do B cuts go upstairs or downstairs? Or is it like A cuts are set at odd wafers position whereas B cuts are set at even wafer position? Like the hu58 bmw you taught us?!

    • @BoredLockpicker
      @BoredLockpicker  3 місяці тому

      Not sure I understand your question. This Lishi reads the same the direction it picks.

      watched your video. thats old school lishi's. It looks like you pull the wafers down into it using the marks on the side to line it up. I think you're better off getting the "modern" version of the tool

    • @pouncerminned863
      @pouncerminned863 3 роки тому

      @@BoredLockpicker agreed. I do like these old ones tho! Just curious how it was supposed to work. Appears to be picking sideways instead of up and down, just threw me off. I was able to pick my car lock with it, with some trial and error. But yes, the modern 2 in 1 are much awesome but I really dig these old school ones too. Thanks for checking it
