Johnny, you da man. Your bass is my favorite part so far off the new album. Haven't seen many saying that so I wanted to make sure I did. You are a great bass player.
The album is purely a masterpiece you do a awesome job on the bass im 36 yo and fan since the beginning i grow with your music and i want to thank you to exist you save my life so many times you always be in my ear and my hearts
I cant get enough of this album and interviews about it. Johnny your bass on the album was fucking amazing! You killed it! Everyone did. Spectacular. Wish I could send you flowers.
Incredible work on this album, Johnny. Honestly I was skeptical going in, but holy shit...Cosmic, Ordinary, Death...blew my mind. Syns work on the Piano is shocking.
Got off-guarded by the (O)rdinary track, and have my brain goes, "where's 'Ordinary' in this?". Then I remembered you've teased snippets in 2016 that sounded like some random stuff and part of Exist track. And now I marked (O)rdinary as "Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, and good night track"
Been listening to Avenged Sevenfold since City Of Evil, and I gotta say, Life Is But A Dream is my favorite album you guys have put out. Ever. This Album is everything I hoped it would be, and more. Congratulations on the release of this outstanding project. P.s. Cosmic made me cry lol
@@krisnarefaagusta16 The Stage is a fantastic record too! You're right about them using avant-garde elements in that album. I think what I like the most about Life is But A Dream is that they leaned further into the avant-garde elements. I love a lot of eccentric music, and I always hoped Avenged would go further in this direction. They definitely did not disappoint.
I had never listened to them before this album other than hearing Bat Country back in the day and Cosmic also brought me to tears. Excited to discover more of this incredible band.
@@esellwan Welcome to the family! It's never too late to become a fan. Glad you found an appreciation for this band! Since this album is how you got into them, I have some recommendations of songs they have made that are on the more eccentric side. 1. A Little Piece Of Heaven 2. Radiant Eclipse 3. Sidewinder 4. Exist 5. Roman Sky 6. Save Me 7. Until The End Honestly, the entirety of their album "The Stage" is something I think you'd like. I personally love all of their albums for different reasons, but I highly recommend checking out their earlier stuff like "Sounding The Seventh Trumpet" and "Waking The Fallen". These albums are great, and it'll show you just how far the band has changed from their beginnings. Happy listening!
Album is a masterpiece, emotionally fulfilling in a way the last two albums weren't for me, barring Acid Rain and Coming Home. Cathartic doesn't even scratch the surface. Thank you and the rest of the band for always pushing the boundaries of what music as an art form should and can be.
Hung out with the boys and Brandon Saller last night at 4 Sons. Felt great to be back home. That Watermelon Lemonade was the best stuff ive pounded in years. Thanks for giving the HB family some memories that will last foREVer last night.
Loved the album, that piano piece was coooooold, I go from metal to oldies to rap any given day so the album our ear-balls received was fucking great. Cosmic is #1 beating And All Things Will End in my rotation 🔥🔥🔥🔥
It takes many listens and took me on my own journey while working albeit an office job. I was like OMG I hear so many snippets from all of the albums with a new style. I love it. Im the same age as you guys so i have grown and appreciate different music styles and bands who has grown for themselves and enjoy fan appreciation of it. That's how music evolves and transcends. This album has crossed some weird boundaries and meshed some lovely galaxies at the same time. I can't wait to see you guys in Charlotte
Such a great deep dive on the album! LIBAD is truly a masterpiece. I am still astonished by the musicianship of you guys. Thank you so much for putting this work of art out there for the world to appreciate. Also, great seeing Brando and (especially) Sam getting so comfortable with hosting the show. They're doing an amazing job - special mention to the segues, they were 10/10. Hahahaha Much love to yall! ❤
Fucking love the album boys, have two autographed CD’s coming in and a vinyl already at home, listened to the record in full numerous times now and holy Shit love it, I’ve been a fan since the beginning with sounding the 7th. And I love this album, they are maturing like fine wine and that’s how I felt listening, drunk off of the vibes and roller coaster of sounds! 🎉❤ We Love You!
LIBAD beer?!? I know you can't get your IPA to Wisco but I need it lollllll Omg you should bring back Filthy IPA AS A HAZY. I freaking love a hazy. Watermelon Seltzer should have Matt doing the invisible watermelon pose holding the logo, haha. Kidding. Watermelon Seltzer name: Trashed and Seltzered I'll add more if I think of anything better lol. By the way, SUPERB job by everyone involved with the album! I cannot stop listening. Johnny, if y'all ever come to Stevens Point, WI (so unlikely) you've gotta check out Great Northern Distillery! Ill buy you all a drink haha. Awwww the Kort shoutout at 1:05:08
G is dream theater/rush. Honestly Johnny, I'm not just saying this bc I'm a verified fan boy (dbc). But you, personally, fucking ripped it up this album. I can't wait to learn it all on bass. I'm proud/happy for you and the rest of the band. Fantastic album! I listen to (except pop and country) and have played all genres of music, including in symphony orchestras, and you guys fucking nailed it!
What an amazing avant-garde metal elements so far. I tell you why, the Life is But a Dream... album is the second record to feature Brooks Wackerman as a drummer after The Stage.
Love how the personality of LIBAD stands alone in the A7X catalog. ‘Easier’ harkens back to RHCP’s Blood Sugar Sex Magic, but with heavy undertones. (O)rdinary is so non-A7X, but I think shows at least the fellas are still having fun making music and experimenting. Plus, the fact that Brooks isn’t human just keeps my jaw on the floor. Not my favorite album of theirs, but definitely a welcome compilation of cool music from an immensely talented group.
I honestly feel like this album has such a sad feeling to it.. the songs, the lyrics, the arrangement etc. Not saying this as a bad thing, just pointing it out. I think it’s sadder than Nightmare.
what a emotional journey, i was in tears through half of it, amazing job, oh you thought i was talking about the album? i was talking about the childs cartoon conversation, the album was alright too i guess
I just wish A7X would pool their amazing talents and create the best straightforward metalcore album ever. I appreciate the experimentation but that’s my dream. Maybe one day.
Johnny, yeah, we've never done any songs smaller than 3 min 30 seconds. While I proceed to look at the track list of four songs in a row that are 3 .5 minutes or less and one that's 2.5 minutes
The new album is trash I'm sorry boys I hope when I see you this summer with falling reverse is not a let down matt shadows voice sounds like it's done for hate to say I still love you guys as a band nobody is perfect on making music
I don’t know, I just can’t get into this one. I really tried but to me it’s like if Frank Sinatra made a hip hop album, it’s just so disjointed and odd
This album is just phenomenal, I understand why some people dont like it, but for the people who avenged is our favourite fuckin band, youve kinda been setting us up for this for 20 years, yall always had that avant garde weirdo side and the bands gotten kinda weirder and weirder every album, shit moments on this thing even feel like sounding the seventh trumpet almost, the weird synth piano sounding solo thats actually syn shredding guitars on Mattel gives me vibes of the end solo of "and all things will end" but yall pushed everything to such musical lengths, its really something special to experience as a fan. Feels like the ultimate landing spot for the crazy journey weve been on so far. The main thing I keep thinking is how proud I am this this is my favourite band. Cant wait to see where it goes in the future, you guys are something else man
I love this conversation and the breakdown of the album, thank you 🍻 but guys, I wish you would talk more about the bass work! I haven't watched all vids on this channel yet but I hope to discover more content on the bass 🙏🎸
Congrats on the new album!! I've been a fan since WTF dropped and I saw the Unholy Confessions music video. City came out right when I started driving, I got an A7X tattoo in 2006 while underage and got grounded because of it, saw Avenged live in 2008 with Shadows Fall at a small festival. So needless to say the nostalgia of WTF, COE and ST are absolutely off the charts for me. So in all honesty I never in the slightest expected Life Is But A Dream to end up being my favorite Avenged album. But on my first listen it just instantly hooked me in harder than any album before it. You guys are absolute musical geniuses in my opinion, and I feel like almost anyone could find something that they enjoy on the album because of how much it varies stylistically. Hell, the fact that you guys somehow managed to string it all together is an accomplishment on it's own. 🤘❤🤘
Congrats on the new album to you and the boys, it's a phenomenal album!!

@@krisnarefaagusta16 Im sorry but this album is absolutely nothing like the stage, both albums being prog albums doesn't mean theyre similar.
Easily your best performance on an album. I caught myself a few times going “God damn johnny!”
Great album, worth the wait! 😁
Hearing the Beatles sound In there is pure fire! I love it
Love you guys! Thank u for bring amazing piece of art into our life!
Come to Korea 🇰🇷
LIBAD is an absolutely outstanding album. Your basswork is incredible. Congrats Johnny!
Amazing work Johnny !! best album ever !
I can't wait to receive my flag and album in the mail! Thank you Johnny and A7X for the wicked new music!
What an amazing avant-garde metal music so far in this new Life is But a Dream... album.
Johnny your bass work on this album is phenomenal
Johnny you really went off with the bass work on this album 🤘🏻
I agree! The guitar work on this album is some of the best I’ve ever heard.

Been quite the journey being a fan of your band for 20 years.
The new album is perfect, and I think Cosmic Seltzer would be a sick name!
Chopin is my favorite composer as well. What an ender piece… brilliant. This record is pure art.
What's good, heard the album and I love it. Grammy for sure next year
Every song including this whole album has been relatable so this is the icing on top, always

I love the album so damn much! Been a fan since 2005 and you guys never disappoint!
That bridge on Beautiful Morning reminded me of something you would hear off the Moody Blues album Days of Future Past. It gave me chills.
I appreciate that yall continue to push boundaries musically, with great and intriguing writing. GREAT bass work on the album dude!

I was at the Columbus show and it was STELLAR!!! First time seeing you guys and had a blast.
Libad is incredible album, may be my favorite album of all time. Kudos to you Johnny, your bass is fucking killer on this album.
Great album, kinda dark lyrically ❤ all songs were personal to me
"O"rdinary is the song i have on repeat and it's the shortest song on the album and probably my favorite song next to we love you and cosmic
Your guests are great.... BUT WE WANT THE WHOLE BAND.
SHOW ME YOUR MELONS! The DWJ seltzer is bomb! And LIBAD is fucking amazing. 💜💜💜💜

A7X grew up and made a fuckin masterpiece. So thankful I’ve grown enough to see (hear?) LIBAD for what it is.
If you do a berry flavor, ‘Berried Alive’
I remember that from the series ''King Of The Hill''
Cosmic is my Space Oddity
Johnny's watermelon madness
Second heartbeat ends on the solo too johnny you silly goose
You should name your watermelon seltzer. Christ walking on water(melon).
👏
The opening drink opening sound is the same one at the beginning of St. James
Johnny looks exhausted in this episde
Hungover 😅
Lol JC is too lit
Johnny low key kinda looks like Joe Pesci
Waterhellion seltzer

Johnny how can I get some of that Deathbat Whiskey in Georgia? (Show me your melons is a pretty sweet seltzer name)
Why wouldnt u have the band on for this?
“Big Melons Seltzer”
Why wouldn't you have the rest of the band on?
"It's like 5 songs in one." I highly doubt he's gonna substantiate that but okay.....
