I would love a breakdown for I won't see you tonight (pt. 1)... I think that song deserves so much more love Also, Brooks is just the beastest. He nailed this impressively... I totally praise that man.
If syn and brooks made an instrumental album or EP together that was like all the instrumental stuff in exist I would buy that immediately. It would be the greatest instrumental album ever
When it first came out people were undure how to feel, myself included; but the more I listened to it, the more i've come to appreciate it. Now it's an all time classic album.
The entirety of this song isn’t just beautiful, but inspiring. From the complexity and disorder stacked in the beginning representing the start of our universe, to having Neil deGrasse Tyson speak on humanity and hope, just absolutely astounding how strong the song hits many parts of the soul. One of the best songs the world has ever seen.
What? Thanks for uploading part 1 and 2 in the same hour. hope you guys see my comment. if i can only pick one song to listen to for the rest of my life i'd definitely pick this song
His rage is so genuine and yet unexpected, it just kinda erupted out of nothing xD I love you Brian. You're one of my favorite guitarists of all time, next to Marty Friedman, John Frusciante, Eddie Van Halen, and the G.O.A.T. Alex Lifeson.
8:15 My favorite part of the song starts in this part, the rhythm of the drums, and the background effects, not to mention the incredible participation of the great Neil deGrasse Tysson, which makes us think of the true message they want to pass through this beautiful song. Brazil fans love you, A7x 🇧🇷🇧🇷💚
Every time that I heard this song,I used to imagine how Brooks playing this awesome drum solo .Well ,now I can see ,it's amazing !!! Thanks AX7 for share this !!!!
This is the style they’re albums should be like straight chaos I feel they hold back just go completely crazy on the next record guys shit would shred lol but the stage is a solid record
I wish they did more talking about the actual words Neil was saying at the end they're so prominent, I want to know what they think about what was said in it, love this band, always have always will❤❤
Considering they originally wanted to use Pale Blue Dot, you might be more interested in what they have to say about that... The album's namesake is actually from that speech. You could say that the lyrics and music video to The Stage are an extrapolation of their thoughts on it.
I’ve been a NOFX fan since @1992 and an Avenged fan since @2003. I didn’t know who A7X was until the Warped Tour in Bozeman MT in….I think it was ‘03. They blew me away playing their Waking the Fallen stuff. Shortly after that, City of Evil was released and I was sold forever on A7X. Near the end of the song (the punky part during Neil’s monologue), I got an immediate NOFX-The Decline vibe…..and that is awesome. Kudos guys, can’t wait for the next album! P.S., always been a Bad Religion fan and I’m loving that Brooks is with A7X. Cheers.
Gotta give props to the video editing team for killing it with all the relevant b-roll placed at very appropriate times. Really adds to the impact and gives much desired context. We appreciate you!
Seriously this has to be my all time favorite song even though I dont listen to it as much as other songs. The reason for that is because its so long, but that is what makes it so good. You come back inbetween to refresh the grand masterpiece of music
This album is what got me back into this band. And it was such a powerful and thought provoking album to distract me from a big issue in my life. I feel in debt to it. It’s an incredible track.
After that batman quote from sin, I'm waiting for the joker edits. Love this breakdown though. It's cool to see exactly what they did and I love seeing the creativity of Brooks!
I love everything about this song. To me it is like it all morphs from old to new A7X, ya got a bit of Boston, the Remons, and the Beatles in there, then a bunch of beautiful music... Like listen to this track as it is on the album, then go and listen to the Live at the Grammy Museum version and tell me you don't take a trip into the world of A7x music!!! It's just sooo much of a beautiful song. It will be a tough one to cover, but it is a lyrical and musical genius masterpiece!!! The guys have beautifully out done themselves with this one!!!
"up here, in fucking, guitar land" -Syn 2019. He just keeps the one liners fucking coming. Lmfao. Going back to their all excess dvd this is just the funniest band I've ever witnessed in my life. And brooks fits perfectly. I love it.
Actually recently i'm into BMTH. but i found their new album is changes a lot. Maybe it's better for them. But this band is change to something amazing. Always give something different. You like butterfly, i hope you guys just never die. Dude. You give me all the spirit and a friend of life since I'm in elementary school, and now i'm gonna married 2 or 3 mounths, thanks guys for give all your power fold.
I love making fun of people as much as everyone else, but English is obviously not his first language. Just leave him alone, guys. He’s not hurting anyone.
The guitar solo starting in 1:30 is one of the most beuatiful things in music history. "Exist" is about the Big Bang and evolution of univers and life, so, Syns Guitar looks like life strugle to survive in the begining, it is so alive, it is like a punch in my heart every fucking time. Love This part. Love This Song. Exist, for me, is the top the artists can achieve. This song is everything.
Please do Sidewinder for an episode of breakdown. I love that song and the rest of the COE album because it just feels like there’s a ton of layers in it.
Geez I was just thinking their "duet" sounded like Soft Machine and then Syn brings up Alan Holdsworth. I LOVE LOVE hearing what inspires them from different genres and eras of music.
My new favorite band BFF duo is Syn and Brooks. They just vibe super well together, and I’m happy for the band in finding Brooks. The Stage is a true masterpiece.
When I discovered the album had dropped I was sitting on the crapper at 6:45am, I noticed the final track was 15 minutes plus so curiosity got the best of me and I jumped right to it. The first 5 minutes blew my f'ing mind, the 2nd 5 minutes brought me back to 70's Floyd, The Beatles, Abbey Road, and the Brian Wilsons Pet Sounds Masterpiece "God Only Knows" all in one; but when Neil De Grasse Tyson began to spin his epic tale of human truth and tragedy, before closing with an almost certain map of our future, sprinkled with a Fairy Dust of Hope.... I wept...and then I wept some more. At which point I exited the bathroom and told my wife that I just heard something from A7x that will blow your Fucking Mind. I started the song over, pumped in the bluetooth thru the entire house, and at 7am, 14 speakers blew my mind for a 2nd time in 32 minutes. And a few hundred times later I still weep..... and it still blows my mind..
I've finally had time to listen to these two breakdowns. Loved it. Couldn't quite hear what JC was saying as far as being turned down by the state but I get the jest of it. Love the breakdowns. Keep them coming guys!

Yes! one of my favorite songs of theirs even as old as it is! was a--- IS a masterpiece!
You can see how proud Syn is of this song.More of this please on the next record..... :)
I know, right? He loves it as much as we do! 😊
And still they didn't show him doing those amazing sweep picking parts :(
With all the layers and effect, he definitely killing it

If this happens it should be called jazz pants
Such a brilliant drummer.
Why does the metal community have such a crab mentality, this album is a proggy masterpiece we didn't deserve!
metal folk doesnt like? too metal for even the "truest" metal folk
I agree with your assessment of the metal community, though I haven't seen anything but praise for this album.

This song is a masterpiece from start to finish. It takes you on a journey of musical chaos but everything flows so smoothly together. I love it!
That Synyster Gates from the alternate universe looks awfully familiar. 😆

The song has much influenced from classical as what syn said. Hence why there's few voices. It's the meaning behind the music that makes it beautiful
