Ghost Az is back one (probably) last time as we descend into the dark depths of Sub Terra from Inside the Box Board Games.
Sub Terra is a co-operative tile-laying game where players take on specialised roles such as medic, diver, or scout as they desperately try to make it safely out of the deep cavern they have found themselves in before their torches run out or the horrors in the dark find them!
We had a tonne of fun with this one and I can't wait to play again.

Sam definitely screwed the team! It was all co-op till halfway through when he went rogue and split. Great game guys!!!

When the first horror appeared, I was surprised you all didn't prioritize getting far enough away that it loses interest [7 tiles]...

I apologise for my zealous screaming near the end of this episode...
Sam played it correctly - the avenues of outs to explore the deck before the lights went out were much better and all further away from more horror spawns than going after the leader.
Medic is crazy diamond
Leader should have been using his Direct ability to help his fellow cavers get closer to the exit towards the end. Step away from horrors, then direct until you are unconscious
after the drama of Thailand soccer team stuck in caves, I thought this game be more a rescue attempt trying to bring back trapped rather than go down search till torch dies. It has a lot of potential for a little more depth and get more drama.
I have no problem with Sam finding the exit, because thematically, the exit could literally be anywhere. vs. meta-gaming the deck because you know it's coming, so you "put the exit" exactly where you want it, is kind of silly thematically imo.
Hmmm maybe you can pretend that once you get to the final tiles you notice they all have some amount of light coming through so you're really banking on those being an exit.
This reminds me of the movie the descent because the female characters 🤷♂️or not
