is the battery swap in diagnostics or coding?....and does the battery swap function just register a new battery for IBS...or does it REcode amperage values into the module too?....

I got mhd just now using it, I downloaded the protool but when first installing and using first thing that popped up is back up the car... can I back up the car if I use mhd too. Using both wont hurt correct?

Do you know where I can program my key fob to 'close' the trunk on the X5? According to Carly I need to disable the panic on the keyfob and it should work. Any ideas?

My car is in the shop right now, it is not communicating with the cas ews ews dme. Could it reset them? Also could radio be put in to transport mode? So no music comes out of FM radio?

FKLYFE this isn’t a tune, so no. You would need MHD to do so...I wouldn’t do the burbles though. Not a fan of unburnt fuel in my exhaust

I dont know if you are still replying to comments, but I hope so :) Is this compatible with E39? I have an OBD2 port in my car and its made in 2001. My second question is that is the BT adapter using ELM327 "protocol" or that is K+DCAN also? And lastly, is the protool app compatible with other dcan cables or it only can be used with their cable? The only thing that intimidated me a little bit was when I was messing around with it for the Amp and I wanted to see what I could do as far as the coding and it came up with a Reset ECU function. That made me nervous because I was afraid I was going to change something in my settings for my Engine/DME and not solely on the Amp itself.
Can you clarify what will happen should I press the Reset ECU function as it pertains to the Amp?? Thanks in advance, this is an awesome tool.

I did this video when it first came out few years ago so I’ve been meaning to do a updated version of this to go through the menus so that’s probably why

i downloaded the program and got the blutooth adapter today and figured out everything except the option to unlock all 4 doors when turning the vehicle off. Where is that option located?

Scott S Is you’re going to do the backend flash for MHD, you’ll need a KDCAN Cable and OTG Cable. I just added that in my description box 😀

I did have a quick question though. I just installed an aftermarket Android head unit into my car (since I bought one without the iDrive system). Ever since I've been getting an error that the SOS system is not active. Long story short the manufacturer is aware the error occurs on cars equipped with the SOS system. After some forum digging I have found out that you can code the system out of the car using INPA. What I'm wondering is if ProTool could do it as well. It would save me the hassle of setting up INPA! I sent a message to BimmerGeeks, but haven't heard back yet. If it's something that ProTool can take care of it should be under Most Gateway in the Entertainment section. Thanks!

Yes. Folds in the mirrors too if you have that functionality.
Very nice for a phone powered diagnostic tool. But I'd rather have a dedicated "deep" tool like the foxwell 520 for BMW. Similar pricing.
Foxwell is garbage compared to this.
I wish this was out before I got Carly. However I don’t see much use in upgrading since it doesn’t seem to have many extra features over MHD, XHP, and Carly.

MHD has benefits, there's no flashing at the same level for different Maps in this tool There are no Maps.
It looks really promising a tool that the busy working man 9 to 5 should have to save time and hassle waiting for responses, wife nagging for shopping and kids, good good you go in and then out with the tool what can you do in 10 mins niffy welcome lights and comfort access lovely - role on payday!

Yes. You can also (as long as the Android device is linked to the same google acct) have it on multiple devices like MHD. It's not VIN linked tho, so that's amazing.
What I have discovered, as Goiter Shark has already said, is that the fees he shows in the video are one-time fees...no ongoing subscriptions. It will work on multiple devices - I have it installed on and have used it on both my car stereo (Eonon GA9165B) and my Lenovo tablet. And it is also apparently not VIN locked...I have used it on my 2006 330i as well as my cousin’s 2011 328i.
It can be difficult to find what you’re looking for in it unless you’re already fairly knowledgeable of the app and/or the BMW systems and sub-systems, which I’m still a noob, so I have to scroll and scroll looking for things. I wish it had a keyword search feature. I have utilized their tech support help and they were fairly quick in their response, which did resolve my issue, by the way.
I got the BimmerGeeks Bluetooth adapter and it works great.

Thank you for the tutorial. The engine light of my car came on a month ago, it is the right side DRL/parking lamp mulfunction, and I replaced the light bulb, and wrapped up all the exposing wire, it is still not working, I guess the LCM module shut down the power to the DRL, so is it possible to solve the circuit short problem and reset the LCM the module? It is 2008 BMW 535i, Thank you!
My right headight got water in it and fried. Replaced headlight and still wasn't working , used pro tool to reset any shorts in the car . headlight works now . 07 335i
