i go back to this reaction every now and then because as you said, "we need to listen to good things in this life." too bad i can't add more likes as much as i add views.

The translation literally cut out a portion of the song's feelings hahaha but okay. It's not "You are just mine," but more like a begging way. It translates to "Please be mine," or "Won't you be me mine?"
And it's not "The one who prays will always be begging," but rather it's a continued clause from the upper line so it goes "'Akin ka na lang' ang dinarasal sa araw-araw," which should translate to "'Please be mine' is what I pray for everyday," wherein the "Please be mine" is a quoted clause turned into a subject.
"At maghihintay hanggang akin ka na," means "I'll be waiting until you become mine."
"Makiki-usap na lang, akin ka na lang, Giliw," also translates to
"I'm begging you, please be mine, darling."
That's basically all you need translated as those are the lines that repeat for like 80% of the song. It's Morisette's heart-ful rendition that gives a deeper meaning to the song. You can hear a woman who has been left with nothing else to say but ask someone to be hers. That's all she keeps saying because she wants and needs that person badly. Morisette does a great storytelling of it.

I love that you put in the extra effort to bring out the nuance from the original. My wife and I were trying to find better ways to translate those lines and you really did great with them.

That Google translation is bad. The title of the song in English is “Please Be Mine”. The translation was so bad and it reads like a stalker song LOL! Please do “Fly Like A Bird” by Morissette next! Highly recommended! It’s a joy listening to that one.

I'm Filipino and the translation was way far from what the real meaning "(thoughts or whatever)" it was translated word by word which make the whole meaning different.
Akin ka nalang means "can you be mine"
Or
"Will you be mine"
Still, imperfect translation.
Much as i'm struck with awe and admiration for morissette's singing talent and exceptional voice, im just as amazed and amused with everyone's reaction to every rendition of her songs ive watch on a number of channels out there. At first i was browsing to watch and listen like every admirer or critic does, now im doing it out of curiosity on how reactors react, believe me they are just as entertaining, surprised reactors surprises and amuses me just as much.

When she hit that high note, I got chills! She reminded me of Minnie Riperton's song "Loving You". In the 70's, I was totally in love with Minnie Riperton. That song would bring tears to my eyes. And now, as an old man of 62, I am once more in total "crush" with Morissette *sigh* because of deja vu...lol, I guess I'm not to old to learn new tricks. Gonna have to buy some of her music now to add to my collection. I still have, I believe, 5 of Minnie's albums in my vinyl collection. Have to check now. She was gone way to soon. If you check around 10:33, she only draws a quick half-breath (if even) and continues another 15 seconds in a full belt/run. It's almost 50% longer than the held note going into the whistle. It's so effortless that I don't think any reactors have caught it yet. This girl is insane.

Akin ka na lang actually means: "please be mine". A more accurate translation is in the subtitles of her vid.

yes, all those technical details are quite interesting to someone (me :-) who has absolutely no musical/singing background.
and sometimes they are even a little funny, eg "whistle register - up to 2500 Hz in females" and in males? 4700 when they are Dimash :-)
but that was a single long note while in this song it was more interesting and more pleasing to listen.

A lot of Filipinos get their inspiration from old American divas. To not know your popular Whitney Houston songs, Mariah Carey songs, Celine Dion, etc., is the same as not knowing your ABC’s. The whole country loves music that much and hearing karaoke throughout our neighborhoods and on television has embedded that into our heads. Note they’re not easy songs lol.

Well thats understandable. If at first your trying to criticize the video but ending up enjoying it. Cant you see the sparkle on her eyes after the high note, she just enjoyed the song after it.

So many...oh so many beautiful covers that Morissette does!! Her covers of Broadway musical songs are incredible! I'll start with Someone Like You (from Jekyll and Hyde - the version of which she's only singing), Defying Gravity (from The Wiz), Home (The Wiz), Memories (Cats) and on and on. Fly Like a Bird is incredible and shows a bit of all that Morissette does with her voice. Comparisons do not have to mean a rating/ranking. Luckily these 3 artists have a pretty good ratio of fans to cult followers. Filipinos are watching and reading the comments they are rational for the most part. Except the ones that post fake fan made award show with celebrity reactions, that's just brain damage and it actually hurts the careers of the ones they worship.

If you want to see Mori's full range while live on stage, you can react to her two songs back to back during Asia's Song Festival 2017. First is lower register and ballad/belting and the second is a Mariah cover that is more upbeat while she is dancing around.
Also, her cover of Fly Like a Bird shows her ability to make a song her own, its very groovy and shows off her full range once more along with her personality.
Last, but not least, if you react to her rendition of Defying Gravity during a live webcast show demonstrates some of her ability to do musicals.

The lyrics you read off were a HORRIBLE translation. The lyrics on the video itself were much better. For what you read, it sounds like Google had seizures while it worked on a math problem.
Google translations can be pretty bad sometimes.

The trick using google translator or or even bing translator, is, to use short sentences as much as possible. The resulting translation will be accurate or much closer at least. And it helps to use commas (,) and periods (.). You'll get a much better result.
The song lyrics must have been copied and pasted as is. And if you notice there are no commas and periods. Just lines after lines of texts and white spaces.
That certainly confused google / bing. That's why the horrible translation. :-(
