I doubt it. Bad dev since day 1, I said it day 1. I say it now, ill say it 10 years from now. Heat games had good career modes back in the day but that was about it. Nascar on Gran Turismo 5 and 6 is still better

The 9nly thing stopping me from buying a nascar game is the damage models! They absolutely suck donky ass!!!!! Every single game in the franchise has a very very very bad damage model!!!! If I was the developers I wouldnt dare release such a horrible damage model for a nascar game! Somebody should grow some balls and speak up!
Is it too much to add some dents and damage where the car takes damage? Come tf on I mean gmod with the right add ons ( a 2005 game) will make perfect damage physics yet a newly Generation game can’t have realistic dents like come tf on id literally nut over a racing game with realistic crash physics

the crash physics are godly but theres barely any car damage considering the crash. If they added more realistic car damage it would be a lerfect game
Is this with full crash settings on? If so this is horrible. Not the video itself but the just the graphics and visual effects of the game, I want to see hoods flying off, fenders getting ripped to shreds, tires bouncing down the track in front of you after those massive pile ups. These NASCAR games "USE" to be great. If I make a huge mistake by staying out on the track too long and not changing tires and lose control of the car I want to see the consequences of my mistake. I bought Heat 4 in the hopes that the game would give me a more authentic nascar feel but nope and Heat 5 looks like it's going to be just as disappointing. this is the 5th!!!! nascar game and the damage model still sucks ass. its the main reason why i refuse to buy until they fix it.
After 20 years of nascar games and they still can't get the crash physics right. Come on man! They have everything else down. If they were to literally work on a soft body style like Wreckfest, they'd be set.

Handling has changed a lot. It is easier to spin out and the wear and tear on the tires has a lot more of an effect

Doesn’t look like the improved the crash/damage physics or graphics. Looks like the same lousy damage from every other heat game. Still no side damage,or rear damage. Just the same crumpled hood damage from every other heat game. NASCAR thunder still had more realistic damage than this. They need to improve the crashes to be more realistic not a car flipping 50 feet in the air landing with no damage,or just a smashed front end. Bring back NASCAR thunder damage where hoods flew off and fenders came off,cars had loose body parts,that broke off causing a caution flag for debris and they had caution replay. This game is so cheaply done and unrealistic when compared to NASCAR thunder. 704 games is a cheap low budget developer with a small team and little money. A bigger developer with lots more money needs to take over development. With 704 games your just going to keep getting the same game with the same graphics and physics. Sure Madden comes out every year and it always looks the same. It’s a football game how are you going to improve it? But a racing game you can by putting looking damage,more realistic damage. This game is not realistic it’s a plain boring arcade racer. A real NASCAR game should have realistic crashes and damage. When a car hits the wall the front and sides of the car should be destroyed. There should be black donut circles around the door,hoods and fenders should fly off the car,they need blow overs with parts flying off the car and dirt and grass flying in the air,they need caution flag replay,they need to add commentary,National anthem,fireworks/flyover like in NASCAR thunder 2004,car damage should include cars on fire,they need to announce the starting grid,announce certain drivers down pit road announcing their stats,have a grand marshal. They need to bring back rivalries. There’s so many things that they could improve on in this game but it’s always the same. Nothing but a copy and paste from the last game. So you put DNFs in the game DNFs mean nothing if the wrecks are unrealistic looking. NASCAR thunder had DNFs but they had engines blow,cars catching fire and parts missing so it was more realistic to have DNFs Hopefully this game improves once on Scarlett and PS 5 are released or it’s going to be stupid to have a cheap arcade with unrealistic graphics on an expensive new generation system. I feel like I am playing NASCAR 2000 from my old PlayStation 2 instead of a new generation game.

Only difference I see in the gameplay in this & 4 is the paint schemes. Looks very familiar if you ask me! If I get this & it plays the same as last year & the cars finish shiny instead of having dirt, scrapes, & donuts, I’ll trade it in immediately for store credit & put it toward LEGO SW Skywalker Saga! I’m tired of sports games doing that EA screw job thing where each year has a few new modes & slightly better graphics but basically the same game!

Its not the most realistic crashes. Its more arcadish crashes. I like real realistic simulations games better because its more on the real side of things.

Wrecks and damage are still very unrealistic. Car barrel rolls like 4 times and no damage,no parts flying off the car,no car fire,still no visible damage other than the front of the hood. They need to go back to the damage physics from NASCAR thunder 03 and 04 this game is too arcade for new generation.

An NH4 save video will probably be my last video on Nascar Heat. I'm done with the Heat series until they make a couple of additions.
For example, custom teammates for custom teams in career mode, n15 paint booth, and some more tracks.

I just don’t understand why the crash physics and damage models haven’t been improved? Like the first clip for example a car would never fly through the air like that and if it did it would be destroyed. The lack of particle effects is very disappointing in these games.

Ty Cavinder i know the wrecks are completely unrealistic in this game. These games are so unrealistic and cheap. Nascar 04 is 16 years old and has better graphics and realistic gameplay than this. They need to have parts fly off,cars catching fire The damage physics in this game look like Nascar 98 come on it’s new gen they need to have more realistic improved gameplay and graphics that look as real as an actual Nascar race.
