I believe the fact that Rhodes couldn’t walk confirms he’s been gone since at least the fall from Civil War.
Rhodey will be effected by this in Armor Wars.
Exactly and with how they emphazize that he's been gone for a long time.
Imagine that he is wheelchair stricken and can only walk with the help of the Armor suits. I think that would add to a more compelling story in Armor Wars.
The only reason I disagree with that is he was rehabbing at the end of Civil War and in Infinity War and Endgame he still had leg braces. I think around the time of Falcon and Winter soldier is when he went missing.
This show is set in 2025, so the prevailing theory is he was nabbed right after the funeral, which is the last time we saw him in braces.
That wasn't teleportation. It was Ghost's phasing.
Ghost wasn't in the battle for earth.
@@jakeoliver9167 Abomination and the Chitauri weren't there either and Nick Fury had their DNA anyway
@@jakeoliver9167but was on earth
@@jakeoliver9167 literally the first name in the harvest
@@jacomediaz5176the Chitari very much where there. They're Thanos's army
Looks like things are coming together for The Marvels because the ending clearly shows that Fury is heading back to outer space.
I think that was reshot though because the Marvels was supposed to come out first. Feels weird for him to leave everything unresolved like this.
Rhodes was taken from the hospital at the end of Civil War. As a result, he was not present for Infinity War or End Game so he does not know about Tony yet.
This was universe breaking. Who needs the Avengers anymore when you have Gi’ah, who has all their powers, plus Thanos and the Black Order, as well as her own natural skrull abilities. It’s mind boggling to me how that idea somehow made it out of the writers room and into the screen. That should have been shot down immediately.
After the Gravik battle, they should’ve showed a scene where she takes away her powers or something so she doesn’t have the burden of using them. Lol Just something to take away her power, ya know?
Too bad The Shazam sequel has already claimed the Captain Every Power identity 😂
This happens in the comics all the time. Ignore it
If you think having OP characters breaks the Marvel universe you don't know Marvel.
@@thathighguy6980 it’s not about having OP characters. Characters like Wanda, Sentry, etc have existed for a long time and that’s completely fine. I’m talking about having a character that SPECIFICALLY has all the powers of The Avengers that we know in this universe.
THAT is the issue. Cause it makes all of these people that we’ve been told are special and unique parts of the universe for the last 15 years, and makes them redundant. Cause who needs Captain Marvel anymore when you have a Captain Marvel that also can simultaneously be the Hulk, Groot, Thanos, or Ebony Maw?
The president didn't just went against the skrulls he went against every alien in the world including the asgardians
Yeah, that was perhaps the stupidest ending ever.
@@testfire3000 it's not stupid it sets up Captain America 4 now we know how Thunderbolt Ross becomes president this is the beginning of Dark Reign
Y’all are still my favorite reaction channel. Even with its ups and downs, I definitely enjoyed this show a lot more than I would have because of your videos! ✌🏽
Same for me
Unsure if you guys noticed.. Rhody was in a hospital gown ... and he leaned over. unable to 'walk.... That appears that he was taken right after was hit by Vision and went to the hospital.. which means that everything from "are you tony stank" forward has been a skrull
Yep he didn’t even get to say goodbye to his best friend.
Makes sense !I remeber that comment skrull rhodes made about going back in time and strangling thanos when he is a baby lol
Overall a decent finale in my book.
Yeah pretty decent i didn’t hate it I was a bit underwhelmed
Yeah, I didn't love it but I didn't hate it either - just a 'fine' finale to a 'fine' show. As with most of the Marvel D+ shows it's better if you watch it together with the penultimate episode and treat it as one big episode. After all, they're being written as longer movies and that way you get the full 'third act'.
@@stevek606yeah secret invasion was originally planned to be a film, but due to playtime and cramming so much info they switched to a show, still felt a bit rushed, maybe another episode could have helped for a better build up 🤷♂️
Yeah could've been better
It was only underwhelming because your expectations were too high…. This is a tv series that’s a precursor to cinematic movies.
Your fault.
That thing you guys pointed out about how Gravik and G'iah were shapeshifting into the people whose powers they were using reminded me of a story that I heard from a magician who was acting as a consultant on one of the Now You See Me films. The magician said that he was doing a scene as a croupier who was doing some sleight of hand, and the director requested that he do it really slowly for the close up shots. When he argued that that wasn't realistic for a professional sleight of hand artist, the director said that it was so that the audience could see and follow his tricks visually.
The same logic applies here. I don't think we would recognise half of the powers that they were using if they didn't shapeshift into their original owners. Heck, you guys thought G'iah was using teleportation when she was actually using Ghost's powers to make herself intangible.
Which I think is also why G'iah remained as her human form; if she appeared in her natural form like some are nitpicking about, the fight would likely get pretty confusing, even if her Skrull from looked different than Gravik's.
Anybody notice the President just low-key declared war on Asgardians as well?
Just started the video and VANESSA! The skin, make-up, everything: You look amazing! Also, if you saw Tay Tay live, imma cry.
I saw her on the first stop of the tour! - Vanessa 💜
I'm green with envy.
That was soooo bad. I had to get one Skrull pun in.
I greatly enjoyed this entire series and the finale didn't let me down. I was saddened not to see Quake's powers but it was fun watching Ghost's phasing powers as Emilia Clarke phased through that truck.
Late to the Party has had the punch poisoned by internet rumors.
We thought majority of those rumors were silly to begin with. Especially the inclusion of Quake.
Phase 5 Projects Ranked
1. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3
2. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania
3. Secret Invasion
Haven't seen GotG3 yet, but that drops on D+ day after tomorrow. I have heard nothing but good things about it.
I like the dimmer light. It feels to me to know that you can see your screen(s) more easily.
Heard several theories that real Rhodey was taken after the MRI in Civil War (note the hospital gown).

5. 1x01: "Resurrection"
6. 1x03: "Betrayed"
So now G'aia is the most powerful life form in the MCU.
10:10 GAME!
I would say if there is a season 2, lets have Sonja as the main protagonist, Ga'ia more than likely would be the main target for the Thunderbolts? Also, as there were a ton of humans in that room probably a good chance we might still see some very prominent characters revealed in the Captain America movie?
Col. Roads was wearing the same hospital gown he was wearing in civil war
It was an awesome finale! ❤
I just found out yesterday the show is set in 2025 (how'd I miss that?!) so the guess is Rhodey was taken almost immediately after Tony's death/funeral. That was the last time we saw him in the braces. It baffles me that the writers would write him in without the braces, as everyone on the planet knows War Machine, the Avenger who's paralyzed and can only walk thanks to Stark Tech braces. Like, noooooobody noticed?
As others have pointed out, Rhodey is rescued in a hospital gown. Perhaps they took him the same day he was shot out of the sky by Vision. Everything from the ending scenes of Civil War onward have been a Skrull. And Skrull Rhodey probably is wearing the braces under his pants in case anyone got sus. Plus when they shape change, it includes clothes and probably the braces. Hell, in episode one Gravik changed into Fury and that duplicated Fury's gun which he then used to shoot and kill Maria Hill.
12:43 yeah, it’s not like it’s Nicks fault the Skrulls were there and he let all of this to happen, it’s not like he’s been apparently looking for a home for the skrulls since captain marvel
Uhh, wouldn’t Carol be able to tell Rhody was a Skrull in End Game? Also, did we also declare war on Thor and the New Asgardians? Not a good idea.
I loved the show and the finale landed to me for the show and where it’s headed. I can’t wait to see these characters again and the fall out
Tbh really wanted Fury to be the one to finish off Gravik. But understand why it was Gi’ah. She wanted revenge! Such a bad ass fight! Fury going after Skrull Rhodes was a tad anticlimactic but still awesome. Overall great finale and loved the series! Can’t wait for your Ahsoka reactions!
The ending felt like a Mortal Kombat game ending to me. It shows a little of what happened after you won and violent chaos usually is involved.
Thirty minute series finale for a show with only 6 episodes of which 3 were about 30 minutes yeah that's the way to tell a story this big. 🤨 Hastily rushed finale check big CGI battle check and it even ends with a sky beam check. So predictable.
Is the whole Baby Yoda thing a device to make the world love green and pointy eared?
hahaha
Pretty damn good show!!!
So is Gravik really dead? I would think that a hole in his body would be regenerated out of pure Extremis powers? Or even Groot's? I do think they made G'iah and Gravik so OP that it was so insane if Gravik just died like that, it felt like that What If...? episode where Ultron-Vision just cut Thanos in half.
Yeah, we saw Killian regenerate from some tough injuries. Since he also had the power of Korg, he didn't even need a heart. He shouldn't need anything except a face and he would regenerate.
Vanessa looks so freaking adorable in her Taylor Swift sweat shirt.
8:56 - G'iah turned into Mystique with powers ... or a T-1000.
Just ridiculous. Killed Maria Hill for this?🤨
17:12 - Worse than that. Ritzon declared war on ALL alien life on Earth, which would include New Asgard.
So the biggest thing with the president delceration is that it is all off world born species that would include new Asgard people

Phase 5 Main Villains Ranked
1. Kang the Conqueror
2. High Evolutionary
3. Gravik
I really liked this series :D
I think they have made "harvest" similar to the harvest in the comic book (where he absorbs people), so they don't "have" the powers they can change their dna to shapshift into each power.
Rhodey is in what looks to be a hospital gown, so I'm guessing he was abducted it long after Civil War wheb he got injured.
Pretty much Nick Fury is the new Captain Kirk out here F'ing green Women. 😅😅
hahaha
Absolutely badass finale, all and all I totally enjoyed secret invasion
I think it's safe to assume the machine would only work on skrulls that's why he left him inside and why be was shocked
They've done worst finales, but I have way too many questions like how were all the ppl captured by Skrulls okay and walking out of that place like they hadn't been exposed to radiation for a very long time.
I think we can assume they were given protection by the skrulls technology
They were in a shielded room
A lot of plot holes for sure. If they had the powers of Exremis *and* of Korg, then a shot blasting a hole in the chest shouldn't be fatal. With Korg's race, as long as your face survives, so do you. Gravik should have been up and back in the fight within seconds.
I feel like G’iah might make an appearance in “The Marvels”.
Same old Disney treatment I loved the first three episodes after that it fizzled out Talos death was for nothing since the president didn't care he saved him and ordered hits on the remaining skrulls ravas death was lackluster (skrull Rhode) so was Graviks they built him up just to kill him off easily and him and Fury never actually get to square off and hoe is it they both get the harvest and immediately know how to use every power that quickly without trial and error finally the finale was like 29 minutes long without the intro and outro i wish i could say i love this show 100% but i do not it started so strong its definitely better than she hulk falcon and Winter soldier and Hawkeye so thats awesome thanks Vanessa and Robert for the review and realistic reaction
I liked the Hawkeye series personally. She Hulk was a fun one time watch as a comedy. Falcon and Winter Soldier wasn't bad but had huge plot points chopped out because of the Pandemic. I rank this one at the bottom of the Disney+ Marvel series so far.
I agree 100% with your issues with this series.
Everybody's saying Ghost wasn't in the Endgame battle so how'd they get her phasing DNA? Did anyone actually SEE her during the movie?
Exactly. 😊
Shield/Hydra has been using her for years. They promised to heal her so you KNOW they had some of her DNA, even if they never did follow through on their promises. And Nick Fury was head of Shield. Not too hard to follow those breadcrumbs.
@@testfire3000 it was a joke
@@themetalchica r/whoooosh to me! lol
@@testfire3000 I was like, "Aw man, my joke sucks." 😆
U hit up the swift stadium tour ?
Ohh nooo I wanted Quake to show up😩. Hello guys. Looks like Civil War is around when Rhodes was replaced.
I must have missed the memo about Quake. What made anyone think they were going to cross over someone from Agents of Shield?
My problem was Fury taking his wife with him. She was colluding with the enemy. And even if you didn't follow through killing me, you were going to. I draw the line there.😆
I think it would've been a really cool reveal and introduce some more questions if they did show at the very end that the president was in fact a Skrull. Maybe Gavik's team really did get to the president somehow after all (with or without his knowledge) and/or this is his backup plan, maybe there is another rival team of Skrulls opposed to Gravik but also wants a war against other Skrulls too, or something else entirely. I do wonder what will come of G'iah because she does seem overpowered and I think the remaining Avengers, including Carol Danvers, will be incredibly angry when they find out what really happened and the secrets Fury kept from them. Maybe we will later get some lame excuse that all those powers given were temporary and the DNA will somehow disintegrate after a time limit or something like that.
If he was a skrull he would have reverted when he was unconscious during the attack.
@@Greenhawk4 Maybe. Do they revert back to Skrull form because the tissue is dead or dying OR because it takes a lot of focus & concentration to maintain their human form in its entirety? So can a Skrull be unconscious and still maintain human form since unconscious does not mean dead? The Skrull that was shot in the leg and his leg reverted to Skrull form, was that Skrull in the process of dying and his leg tissue was the first to die or would he have still lived and could he have then changed his leg back into human form when he regained composure? I do not know, honestly. But, I was also thinking more along the line of sometimes between after the attack and/or when he was taken to the hospital to when he regained consciousness. My understanding is the Skrulls only needed to "take" the president alive in order to get his memories. But, they could shape-shift into anybody they wanted to at anytime. So, somebody could have shape-shifted into him just to call the strike against all Skrulls and off-world species.
I have some significant issues with the finale. Aren't Asgardians aliens? Bullets won't even wound an Asgardian child, and they get stronger with age. A real world leader would have thought that through before saying it on the air. The sudden paranoia of the president makes no sense. By the way, when did the humans learn how to tell who is a skrull and who is not? The president said, "we know how to find you..." There was no evidence in the show that this was true. In addition, why would anyone give Gravik the harvest? Was there any guarantee that G'iah was going to get into the super skrull machine with him? Makes very little sense from the perspective of a combatant. Finally, why would Nick Fury leave G'iah to be recruited by Sonia? Would a real spy allow the UK to acquire such a powerful ally at the expense of the US? Absolutely doesn't make sense.
The series started with promise but slowly fell apart as the episodes continued. That finale was just a mess.
Hospital gown long Time Civil War
Okay people are getting mad on gravik dying so easily... Giah was basically smart here...weakness of gravik & giah are that they can't use one power without breaks that's ehy both were switching them...cuz we saw when fury shot gravik, he healed instantly but when he fell from the sky his arm took a min to heal and after the final blast, extremis needed time to come and heal him which was too late go to save gravik...so giah simply made him busy in fight so he can use extremis again and again but never used it herself and when extremis started taking time in healing, she tookher final shot and killed him
Except Gravik also had the power of Korg. So unless his face was destroyed, he was still alive. Blowing a hole through his chest isn't fatal. He should have been back in action pretty quickly with all his powers, extremis being one of them.
Rhody was a hostage since he replaced Terrance Howard. 😆🤣
No. The fact that he was in a Hospital gown means he was replaced by a Skrull after the events of Captain America Civil War.
@@sneakycheekswtf so the rhodey in infinity war and endgame is a skrull? 😅
what im confused about is was ghost also there during the battle of endgame
They got Ghost’s dna since she worked under SHIELD
i totally forgot about that
Wasn't Ebony Maw dead before the Battle of Earth? How did they get his DNA?
Ebony Maw came back End Game was 2014 Thanos
Gravik killed a Ken variant?

Whole series was mid. Such a shame though as Secret Invasion is such a huge event in comics. This should have felt like a major cinema event done properly. Gia? Suddenly the most powerful being in galaxy now? Yet not part of The marvels and a character most won't have seen introduced.
15:24 Wow these people are now complaining about unreal things in comic books is weird. That's the point
People are still waiting on a 6part "Endgame"...
It was ok,way too short.Gravik's speech was intense but then we find out he was talking to Giah and not to Fury so it kinda looses its impact. Also we didn't even get to know Giah that much and now she is probably the most powerful being in the MCU,I hope we see her again and Sonya too.Olivia Coleman's character was the best thing about this show for me :)
How did they know the news guy is a skrull? I just mean because he's not a political figure or someone of much influence.
I remember I'd love to watch these shows and it was so awesome to see the reaction videos after and now I'm only watching these shows so I can watch the reaction videos to them lol The commentary and different scenarios that could or should have happened is more exciting. This show was predictable, nonsense and disappointing 🤷🏽♀️ Just like everything else there are moments that are cool and some info that we should know for future reference but that's all 🤔
Ehhh...the comics and Avengers emh is still better! Go watch that instead everybody!
Now marvel is going to have to explain in every show and movie why Ga’ia isn’t there to help when she has now become the strongest character, well except for Scarlett witch and Strange. Let alone the fact that why would Fury after everything the Skrulls have done give another Skrulls all those powers just because he was cool with her dad? Why would she give Gravick the powers instead of just killing him before and epic fight. Oh that’s right, because of plot. This show almost ruined Nick Fury for me and tbh it failed from episode 1 when they killed Hill instead of giving her some spotlight this season before killing her. I mean I never would have killed her. If they wanted shock value, kill fury’s wife and Talos.
Kill Rodey and make the epic twist that it was a Skrull. This should have been saved as a Fury/Avnegers 2 part movie.
Another mistake Marvel makes is thinking you need a bunch of movies before a marvel team up. With the shows included, you only 3-4 movies until an avengers team up and again this show should have been a 2 part movie with Fury being the main focus. I mean it was a short season and as the episodes went on, they got shorter. It just makes no sense n I think that the MCU is dead. To busy checking boxes for inclusion, focusing on pointless cameos that adds nothing to the overall story of the MCU, and not having a constant hold on what is exactly causing and respresenting the multiverse. I mean tbh the multiverse has been an after thought except for NWH, MOM and Loki. Antman QM really was just an antman movie. The multiverse was reduced to an after credit scene. I’m starting to think the MCU really did die with endgame. I mean the steps after that should have been building the multiverse through Kang while also starting to build the X-Men/F4, and I guess west coast or young avengers.
No
I agree with your first paragraph. You lost me after that.

@@comicbooknerd3570 there were multiple different fights that lasted basically the entirety of the final episode of WandaVision, what are you on about
I wasn't impressed with this series. It was slow throughout and the moments of actions seemed like going through the motions. It has been clear for a long time that Marvel fans think the DC Superman is so OP that he is boring. A lot of the negativity about Captain Marvel is the same complaint, so OP that nothing is challenge for her (we will see if The Marvels can tackle this notion). Now we have *another* character that not only has Captain Marvel powers but nearly every other superhero combined. The super Super powered person nobody asked for.
Also, I question entire concept of "the harvest". Sure you collect the DNA of various heroes. Then you mix them all into one single vial? That is like taking blood samples from 40 people and pouring them all together. That is not how any reasonable scientist would ever handle important DNA samples. Or samples of any kind.
Overall I thought it opened with promise but slowly got more predictable and dull with each episode. If you are reading this and disagree, that's cool! There are a number of movies that I really liked that others didn't. It is OK to have different opinions. 👍
