I think the rust prevention is a pro. And the impermanence of it is kind of the point. All said and done I think it would be cheaper and more forgiving than a pro paint job. And haters are going to hate. If you catch someone keying your nice paint job or something you either whip their ass and / or get the fuzz involved. Peeling up your dip? Same thing. But I dig what you're saying. Good of you to put it out there.
