@My name is August West Brash? Arrogant? Yes. One-hit wonder? ...... You'd be hard-pressed to find a Brit who can't sing along to all of "Don't Look Back in Anger", and most of the rest of the world will come in on the chorus. More people have bought Oasis music than all but 4 other bands. In history. 3 of those 4 are Queen, the Rolling Stones, and (of course) The Beatles. (Also ABBA, but the 70s were confusing, and there's no accounting for Scandinavians) Oasis were jerks when they were young; but if you're counting hits, character doesn't enter into it. I'll take their music and leave the tantrums. Also, Ryan Adams' cover of "Wonderwall" is absolutely incredible!
@jkaanta8555 To be perfectly frank, at the time, Americans could get 12 cds for a penny through BMG and other companies. And Oasis was one of those CDs. Not a soul I know went into the store and asked for Oasis. It was literally force fed. Also. I don't know any of the words to Don't look Back in Anger, and neither do any of my 40+ year old friends.
