Hey, I made an account so I could reply. I was just thinking about you yesterday - which sounds sort of creepy. I have followed you and watched your videos since you started. But my questioning and fear went on longer than yours. I am now a year an half on t and 3 days post top surgery. Just wanted to say thank you for being so generous with your self and your experience. I have found your perspective very comforting and reassuring - it’s hard to describe. Although clearly a one sided relationship - I wanted to say in some small way watching your videos has meant so much to me and kept me company in times when I was very alone. Thank you. Much love Clyde (I’m also in the Bay Area :)
Aw, thank you! It makes me so happy that my videos have been such a help to you. Congratulations on your transition and your top surgery!! You are not alone! P.S. I'm no longer in the bay area. But it is a pretty good place to be trans!
I am a cis man from Portugal. I have learnt a lot from your videos concerning what it means to be transgender. Thank you for sharing with us such honest and thought-provoking self-portraits, which include your struggles, uncertainties and discoveries. Your discussion of the "shadow" was particularly rich in insight into the human psyche and the growth of the self. You have helped me to become more aware of the diversity of paths open to and leading toward authentic human fulfilment. I wish you the very best as you continue on your path, and I look forward to your next video. Thank you/Obrigado.
I know I’m 9 months late to the party .. But it’s so good to see your face and hear about how things are going. That all sounds wonderful. Thanks for the update.
Thanks for your update. A friend of mine is a GIS Specialist working in the U.S. National Park system. I'm glad you are finding the field to be so interesting. Good luck with the degree you are aiming for.
GIS is a really hot field. One of the niche slots you might look at is technical writer in the GIS domain. Having writing and technical skills in the same person is unfortunately fairly rare.
Every time I get a video notification from you it's a surprise, and I remember I followed you years ago. Tbh, I've stopped following nearly every other trans person quite a while back, cause I'm past that early stage of trans everything. Nice hearing from you again, you're looking good. Happy things are going well for you!
Good to hear from you! The fact that you've been away and well into what's important in life is just another stage in your evolution. Glad that things have been progressing well in many areas and you can get to what you love! Unless trans issues are your cause, a lot of guys drop off at this point because the things surrounding transition fall away, it is a time that lives in between other things after all. I'm about to be 5 years since T and 8 mos post top surgery, started not too long after discovering your videos. Your approach to telling your story and the info you've shared have been truly helpful. Best wishes and good health!
I'm glad to hear that you are doing well and to see that you are happy with your life! I was also thinking about you yesterday (all of a sudden, out of nowhere), like someone in the previous comments, now I understand why :) Interesting news about GIS since I myself am considering this master for a career change at this point in my life, still thinking about it. Wish you all the best!
Thank you so much for making your videos. For a long time I didn't think I was trans or even had dysphoria bc I didn't "want to kill myself" like a lot of the main narratives say. Even when I did finally acknowledge my dysphoria and transness, I still had doubts pre-T. It wasn't until I saw your videos of your transition did I think differently; I mean we have a LOT of the same thought patterns pre-t and through T so far. Knowing that someone else felt the same way, let me talk it through in therapy, and real life social transition. It took me a year of that to finally make the jump to medically transition. I am now 1 month on T and I feel the best I've ever felt, and it just affirmed that everything I've wanted since I was a kid, I actually DID want! (What a concept!). Your videos have helped me so much, especially pre-t.
Glad you’re finding fulfillment in life, from education to religion to occupation and to transition. I’m 3 years on T 7 mos post top surgery but I scarcely think about it.
Its nice to see you are alive and well and progressing with life and your studies. My Niece is in one of our government departments doing GNS survey work out here in NZ. earthquakes, land movement, all the fun stuff. Im here in Auckland where we have over 20 dead volcanic cones and calderas. The last one went off less than a 1000 years ago and became Rangitoto Island in the harbour. if one goes off its really going to screw the land prices around here. LOL See you later Alan take care.
Woah! I remember being an active subscriber back when you first started T. I'm so glad to see you're doing well! I also decided to go back to school online, so I can definitely relate to the being busy with work and school. (Plus, I'm also living with a parent.) I'm not transgender, but you are straight up relatable and an inspiration!
Hey Alan. So exciting to hear from you! I am very glad to learn, that you have a happy and fullfilling life off youtube! You have come a long way. Kind regards from a longterm subscriber from Switzerland.
Hi there! Good to see ya again. I'm glad u r dating someone now who is supportive, it feels good to be with someone caring despite our unique situation (trans). I am 3 years on T and I've been watching your videos for a couple years. I just had top surgery in December and couldn't be happier!!!
