  • Unboxing review of my new Umarex Race Gun Set from the British Shooting Show yesterday. Chronograph and some 10 Yard paper target tests. Pretty decent grouping for a BB shooter once the Green dot was zeroed in. Next some outdoor shooting with the supplied Green dot, then a test using the iron sights, weather permitting.
Chronograph Results (Average over 10 shots, 30 Second delay)
    Muzzle Energy 1.79 Ft/Lb, 389 FPS, Spread 6 FPS.
Weight with Green Dot fitted :- 1202 Grams / 2.65 Lbs.
    Barrel length :- 160mm / 6.25 Inches.
    Trigger Pull :- 1588 Grams / 3.5 Lbs

Fun looking modern look pistol. I only pick replica pistol types for style with different loading mechisims. Not for power or even accuracy. I just need one gun of each loading type and I am good.

    *Damn sweet!*
I've always scrolled by this one, due it always been for me some "WTF replica is that one to be of..?" and has never gotten really my attention. Not really been as the Tanfoglio Gold Custom with licenses and all. And I admit I've always thought that one to be some plasticky meh oddball.. Never bothered even to get any real info of it. But this review seems to have proved me oh so wrong. The slide racking and closing sound it gave out sounded great in my ears. And I oh so like those kind of magazines also. Safety lever even sounded firm and nice..
Surely that "Race Gun" text ain't pleasimg to me - but if even comes with open sights (the Tanfoglio Gold Custom kit gave no such luxury)... I surely want one of these Race Guns now. And I believe the price of these was not even bad at all...🤔
A massive Thank You for this review!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Did Umarex ever fix the issue with these from a few years back where the hammer would hit the beaver tail causing the slide to fly off?

Man it's too bad it's a rocking trigger instead of a straight pull to the rear.

Was going to complain that your sound was muffled and mumbling, then l realised my Bluetooth speaker had turned over with its bottom up lol, vast difference when put right, polymers a big turn off for me, l can just accept it on the grips of Umarex etc guns, some of it is even good looking, and some guns originally had gutta percha or bakelite grips which were early forms of plastic, but plastic trigger ? Urghhhh, first gun l bought was a Nordica 1911, got it home from a long way off the place l purchased it, took it out the box felt the grip.. Warm.. The back of the grip the safety grip warm.., the whole bottom of the gun with trigger warm plastic only the slide wasnt plastic.. Apart from the sites, hated it kept it a week then gave it away, £150 down the drain but the travel expense to take it back would have been £85, so at least l learned a lesson never buy a gun without holding it first, plastic and guns should only be for tots to play with, l know some modern guns are quite a large percentage of polymer or plastic as it is, but l would never purchaseone, but your obvious liking for the gun and enthusiasm makes the video good to watch.
I always like to see folk enjoying what they're doing.
