This sounds like what would be the song that would play if Gwyn returned to Anor Londo, only to find that his loved ones and people have abandoned it, and his kingdom engrossed in twilight.
If an area of Dark Souls 2 goes back in a place like Firelink, the Kiln or Anor Londo, I would love to have this playing in the background. It's so soothing, calm and sad at the same time. Wonderful, really.
that is a damn cool idea and it even suits fromsoft to do such a thing, but i dont think they'll do it. it's awesome how it is so different but yet reminds of the original speed music because of the notes.
Well... As of today, you may know this, but Anor Londo and the Kiln of the First Flame are present in Dark Souls 3. Quite taken by the Dark, of course... Gwyn's statues silently watching.
The picture gos well with the song. He looks like a strong and feared knight, but his head rests and his stance sagged, he has seen battle and is tired from the fighting and adrenaline. In a more simpler view, he is a powerful but tired knight. Gos so well with the music.
Great representation of who the character is. Tired of his path, just trying to get rid his curse, even when it seems there no option is available to him. However, he holds on to his willpower, always looking for a way to remove it. No how many times he’s killed, died, betrayed, learned, horrified, and lost, he has to keep on moving. All to get rid of his curse.
It`s the perfect ambient track to listen before you go to defeat Gwyn in the Kiln of the First Flame. Otherwise, this edit sounds me like a little bit from the film "Interstellar", with a sense of trance and calm... Good job, men!!
This is the type of music I'd use when I'm doing something alone like reading or having a moment playing dark souls or maybe researching lore for either souls series or Warhammer 40k which I recently got into. Not familiar with 40k music so Souls still provides that necessary feeling that I'd rather have when exploring uncharted territory and places of awe, wonder, beauty or horror.
I love using this track in D and D session, especially when exploring other long dead kingdoms or abandoned plains of existence. Its haunting, and I don't know why but it always makes me feel so small and insignificant in the face of the universe.
Is that what we hear when we transcend from death to another existential plane? Sounds like something that would play as you reminisce on your life as you die...
The waiting room for Heaven be like. Its just you sitting through every single memory in your lifetime, good, and bad. Saying one last good bye, before you're gone from that life forever.
I can't help but imagine Gwen going to sacrifice his soul to the first flame while I'm listen to this music. Quite sad :'( Thank you for sharing this beautiful idea my friend ^^.
This is what the chosen undead hears when he fails to parry, gets hit and slowly bleeds out. Just before the ‘You Died’ screen booms and pulls him into a deep darkness, only for him to emerge by the Lord Vessel, he hears this in all of its melancholy beauty.
You know, the dark souls 2 demo I watched on mediacows' channel had main menu music that somehow reminds of this, just 400% slower, not 600. Can't. Wait. To. Get. The. Soundtrack.
You can't force a flame to burn forever. Even if you do, you'll eventually find yourself trying to light a big pile of gray dust. Don't fear darkness, for it is just the way things have always been.
Oh jesus this is actually so strangely good. It's reminiscent of the Final Hours track in Majora's Mask. Though it does bother me how eerily well the themes of both songs line up. Both are about the end.
I noticed that despite the fandom's disdain dor DS2, the Faraam knight is kind of the poster child of the franchise for the people outside the Souls community. Like seriously, it's in all the bait-y thumbnails on youtube and banners of internet articles XD.
@@mawichan Sorry I'm late, but DS2 did a really fine job with variety of armor sets and weapons. I believe it to be the most creative of all 3 in that aspect, but the bosses were the weaker point in the game. Except for the DLCs - they're so damn good, it's almost like a different game. DS 2.5 xD
I totally agree! I had a blast with DkS2. I still do. My characters look decent, the fashion souls in on point, the weapons are still fun and there's a lot I haven't tried out, especially with power-stances. I personally don't find the bosses to be terrible overall, and I don't care about the "dudes in armor" argument, but I do think there were too many. A lof of them should have been minibosses like the bridge drake, the spinning cats, and the hydras from DkS1. I quite enjoyed the DkS2's DLCs as well. I wouldn't have minded if DkS2 had been shorter if the whole game had been like the DLCs :D.
I know I’m not supposed to feel bad for Gwyn because of how much he screwed over the lesser man...but damn if he just kept an open mind, and listen to his first born, then I’m pretty sure he and his family could have adapted to the changes just like the dragons did. Evolution would have been his salvation, but his unwillingness to change and his damning pride is what shackled him to his fate and to ours. Such a sad fate. If only there was a time machine to set everything right, prevent Oolacile, prevent seathe from going insane, prevent Frampt from telling Gwyn that humans and the age of dark is a bad thing, prevent the witch from ruining her family, prevent Gwyn from disowning the nameless king....if only there was a time machine, an ultimate deus Ex machina... that would be awesome. But I guess Miyazaki wanted this sorrow to unfold so that we learn to let go and usher in our own age of dark.
the place sounds like your in a vast and endless desert of light, where you must make a journey to enter the next world, guided only by the deity floating above the concealed stars, your fate ends here, your new journey begins here
This is related to a comment I saw but this song feels cold like someone who has been Alive since the age of ancients comes back to anor Londo to see that everything is gone the painting to the painted world of ariamis is ripped to shreds or just destroyed naturally because of age is withered away gwyndolin has been consumed lord Gwyn is nowhere to be seen solaire found his sun the Giants of anor Londo are gone Gough has passed even the giant blacksmith is gone princess dusk is gone where have they gone? Drakkoniac Dransen Maybe
+Ultra Blood (Ultrablood) That's depressing to imagine D:
I thought I was going to see you fight Gwyn with equipment so heavy that you'd be 600% slower than normal...idk why
ahah also
This looks like an good video for "limit breakers" Channel hshshshs
Is it even possible to wear that much equipment even with the lowest endurance?
@@Er404ChannelNotFound You can wear whatever you want however, if your equipment goes above your equip load, you won't be able to run or roll.

i feel this is what the age of ancients would sound like
Grey And Despair....

Life... Nor Death...
And, of course....
Light, and Dark.
+DarkSoulsSauron Naw, it would be the Ash Lake theme.
"As fire rises, so does it fade. Such is the way of things."
From the "First Sin explained" by Vaatividya right?
xivaro1 Indeed. Although I think I may have mixed 'fire' up with 'flame'. Oh, well.

Still a good song even at 600% slower. Probably not fitting for the fight, but I could see it for the walk towards Gwyn
Y`know, that would`ve been freaking perfect.
The Faithful Black Knights playing in the entire Kiln wouldve been better.
Or someone looking back through a memory to the fight between the Chosen Undead and Gwyn in slow motion or something. Cinematic
Game: Not enough? "puts 6000% slower"
Huh, slowed down this sounds almost as if it was played by a pipe-Organ.

That sounds awesome !
Sounds very post-apocalyptic. Makes me think of a desolate, icy cityscape.
James Gauthier metro series would be fucking SICK with this
the brighter the flame, the more shadows it casts
This is seriously what a Piano symphony sounds like at 600% my mind is blown.
Nah, I went to check it. This version was made separately but it's just much slower.
bigfriki there are special plugins that accomplish this sound. It’s not just stretching the original audio.
