Greeting from Ireland. Enjoy your many adventures. We have a similar van but it is the VW Coast and is our wee grand-daughter's happy place. She loves sleeping in the 'roof' and has us all in bed by about 8pm. Bliss! Hope to do NC500 some day in not too distant future. Happy travels. 🙂

Hi Pat! Thanks a lot for watching, really means a lot. Your grand daughter must have the most amazing time with you, it's all about the roof isn't it!? Please do the NC500 it's incredible and when you do we'd love to hear all about it! All the best

You defiantly do not need to disconnect your gas you have a new van it will have a gas crash sensor
You will find you get a lot of advice from people who have been doing this a long time and give advice based on how it was when they started out things have moved on.

You didn’t have to worry about your battery as it gets charged as you drive. You will get the hang of the van and perfect your travels. It will be loads more enjoyable as your knowledge and experience grows.

We read somewhere that they leisure batteries don't charge when driving only the main battery? For sure, it was our first time 🙌🏽 Thanks for the encouragement!

Just had to double check yes it does recharge never to full but it does when your driving. I was going to get solar but we tend to never stay in one place so solar would be a waste of money. Your van looks amazing not at all jealous....... 😆 😆 😂 We never get a hook up when travelling and have had no problems. Trouble is without hookup u can’t use the normal plug socket but our gadgets are all usb. Looking forward to seeing more of your travels.

Hi guys, great video well presented and I’ve watched the guide to VW 6.1 very helpful as after a 361 day wait from order I picked mine up next Thursday. Very informative video on that, thank you. Look forward to watching more content from you guys in the future, I also follow Jits they are top value also. Good luck with your channel you are very natural 👍👍

The vw manual is really informative and would have helped with how the battery, gas and bed systems work and may have eased some stress before heading off.

Hi guys, great video, i love your relaxed style. I took delivery of a VW Ocean last Autumn and we're now planning a trip to do the NC500 last 2 weeks of May, and really looking forwards to it. I see the video is dated June 22, but when did you actually travel around the NC500? Be good to try and draw comparisons with the weather and time of the year, notwithstanding Scotland can be unpredictable with the weather. Also what type of drone did you use? Im thinking of buying one. Lovely to see the young one enjoying the trip. My grandson is 4 and we're looking forwards to taking him on some camping trips this year. Ive only just found your channel so i shall look forwards to viewing more. Keep up the posts. J

Hi Jon, thank you for your lovely comment. We actually went in May too. It was a great time of year to go we were very blessed with the weather and avoided the midget season. In terms of drone we use the Mavic Air 2, but highly recommend the DJI Mini 3. It's the smallest one yet but one of the most powerful :)
Hope this help and have the best trip! Thanks for following along.

Lovely video, can’t believe you broke the bed hinge first night 🤦🏻 Took us a couple of weeks 🤣 Bet you left something on top of the wardrobe and put the bed down! Looking forward to the camper review.

Thanks so much for watching! Yes first night 😭 You nailed it, left a wash-bag exactly where you said! Apparently it's a common thing, we're all as clever as each other 😂 The review is going live tomorrow

Should not leave roof up when windy you have no night heater in the van ?

I was in Edinburgh a few months ago myself, staying at the C&M site. I have never seen more litter in a city and not day to day litter either. A lot of the litter looked as though it had been there months. Looks like no council tax money is spent on street cleaners ?

Oh really? We never experienced that in Edinburg when we were there.

@@northsouthtravels it was mostly where they are installing the new tram ways and the back road along the estuary side.

Nice video but sorry, the price of this van is just not value for money. It costs about 60k , doesn't even have a toilet and the bed hinge broke in one day? You have to go outside to turn the bed into day mode? No insulated blinds to keep the heat in? Madness. A normal T6 with a few years on the mileage is a lot less and more useful in terms of storage, the bed layout which is so easy to use from the INSIDE etc. I Where did you put the suitcases when in bed mode? Everything is piled into the back shelf. I really think people need their bumps feeling, as they say to buy one of these useless vans.
