@@77dris yeah, I personally like reach and odst, but playing on harder difficulties makes it feel more fulfilling when you beat it. But I also really like multiplayer and each one is pretty fun

@@Striker_DUDE Halo growing up as a child was an unforgettable experience. Between the rushing home to play custom jenga tower custom matches to learning all the jump glitches and OOB glitches was amazing
talked about this with a friend yesterday. We acknowledge that in the long run, the MCC was a great move to create a centralized repository for access to play and creation of Halo content, past present and future.

It's worth it on PC but not on Console because of Mods to be honest if you're expecting way too much new content then you need it on PC

MCC is the ultimate Halo experience thus far, I’m going to receive the physical version in days to put on my collection shelf
Halo MCC is legendary, 125GB, 6 legendary games + an absolute amount of content, forge maps and mods, no microtransactions, very cheap, this is extremely rare nowadays.
Gaming used to be like this like 20 years ago.

I bought for $10 on Steam in May 2024 and it was an absolute steal. Fast food is more expensive than the MCC right now. It’s absolutely incredible, even if you’re just interested in the Campaigns.
I picked this up on Steam and it plays perfectly on the Steam Deck. Having all the games together and having it on a portable system means I can finally play through all the campaign missions in a way I just was not able to do in the past. I highly recommend the collection. It reminds you why you loved Halo in the first place.
How do you get it to launch on SD? Any specific steps or just install and play?

I do really hope we get one more update for MCC as there are still a few things missing.
The biggest is that we need Modded maps on the CGB as there is basically no way to easily play Custom MP maps.
In some campaigns you cant play cross platform, i think you only can in 3 and odst

Halo has been my childhood for 15 years and I really wanna finish playing combat evolved story cuz I wasn’t finished wit it
I havent played Halo in years probably since Halo 2 came out so picking this up on sale was a huge win! I was bored of most other shooters like COD so going back to this and discovering a whole new bunch of stuff, plus the upgrades, has been hugely enjoyable! It has its flaws but cmon...if you wanna play Halo or a cool sci-fi shooter I recommend this.

I have played Halo with friend's since the early 2000's, but never owned an xbox. Wanted to get MCC but it was $39 on steam, so decided to wait. Saw a spring sale a while back and they had mcc for $9, couldnt pass it up. I have had so much fun playing through the halo games.
The one thing thats deterring me is the lack of character customization for halo reach.
Makes me wish they kept the origional system😢
Playing from 1 to Infinite. Combat evolved was my 1st xbox game so it always had a special memory for me 💯 Great video my dude. Subbed.
One big issue in MCC I faced less than a year ago is Halo 2 online coop campaign doesn't function properly on like 1/4 of the missions. It's very hard to finish them without the online kicking you out and needing to start the missions over (I believe it's every mission with scorpions or wraiths tend to crash online lobbies for whatever reason). Because of the amount of content I guess it's hard for the devs to know about every little thing broken.
The other big issue is mouse and keyboard might as well stay out of competitive multiplayer, I know reach was bad with it but I think most games (except CE?) MKB misses out on aim assist which doesn't sound bad at first but it essentially means their effective range is straightup shorter than controller. I remember Reach specifically increased bloom only on MKB as well making the same problem exacerbated.
For me this was “Should I re-download this massive SSD hog of a game?!” Yeah I think I will! I hope this will just stay as the place for classic halo for a long long time
Yeah true, but you also get full control over what campaigns and multi-player you install!

What do you mean with your friend? I thought halo series didnt support local multiplayer
@@kumarsaieshrane9692 You can play couch co-op and all multiplayer modes for MCC. Halo Infinite is the one you cannot play local couch co-op.

@@FoyzNoiz Oh ok, thanks. I bought an Xbox like 2 weeks ago. I have no idea about the whole gaming scene (PC or consoles). The only video games I have played were the Nintendo ones like Mario and Contra etc and that was 20 years ago. Even though everyone told me 31 is not an age to start gaming again, I still went for it😅

MMC on steam - particularly when on sale - is an amazing package of content for the price and an essential purchase.
Halo MCC lacks Halo 5, i want to see the finished story of my boy Arby.
Just picked up for £8! Looks and runs flawlessly on steam deck. Great nostalgia for halo CE from when I was a kid on the original Xbox, and the only other halo is played was halo 3 on the 360, so looking forward to finishing the others for the first time! 🎉
I never finished a halo game so this was my chance and now I can at 4k 120fps and it’s amazing so far, the multiplayer idk about that yet lol

@B_HarTz It's worth it imo. If you liked infinite you're probably gonna like this. There's no grappling hook though.

@stormbreaker7373 It's been great so far. I started with halo 3, it was a blast. I'm going through halo 2 and I gotta say, it's harder but the game is better for it. The story is much better too imo.

I’ve bought this a while ago cause every Xbox player should have atleast 1 halo on there Xbox lol.wether it’s campaign or couch co-op with a friend or wifey or the kids it’s fun and it’s a classic..I wasn’t a big fan of 5 but they kind of forgot about halo ..we need a nice real next gen halo game and make it dark with a nice customizable suit and ship and more..this Id definitely worth it though can’t go wrong ..and it’s 60-120fps atleast they updated it
Dark? Why does everyone want a "dark" version of an already complete collection of it being , "bright"? Lol
I despise dark games and I think more people side on keeping things "original"
@@B_HarTz Eh, i mean kinda sure, but then again Halo has always had some darkness to it. You played Halo CE? That gets dark and creepy as shit halway in, and doesn't let up. Keyes' death, and the abandoned Pillar of Autumn are some good examples of how dark these games do (and should, moving forward) get.
My only concern is the hackers
I bought this collection way back when it first came out. Its a solid collection both for halo vets and for people just looking to get into Halo.

The Game is Like the perfect blend of everything I could want from an FPS and the Multiplayer is Addictive.
It's a Good Balance of Team Work while not making you feel underpowered.
It's 4:53 am now and I've spent most of the night getting a feel for the first games campaign and a lot of multiplayer
It's weird to have not actually played it till now, back when I didn't have an interest in Fps games.
That didn't actually start till Arma 3 😅
Anyways yea I'm super glad they did this because it also was a super easy way to get to experience it all without feeling like I have to look all over for each game individually.
TLDR:
Tried Halo for the first time Last night, I need to go to bed but one more match never hurt anyone...
That being said I've already dropped the warthog on my own guys in campaign accidentally.

Just got a series s to go well with my ps5 as a secondary platform til I can build a pc. Halo is one of those series I’ve always been curious about but never bought an Xbox to try.
When I went into my x box library to download it it had two editions. One had just MCC and the other had MCC plus 2 or 3 other halo games. I didn’t know what one to download so I just downloaded the one that had MCC. Hope that’s the right one

Unfortunately the Multiplayer in this game is as good as dead, and the few lobbies you can find only play weird custom game modes instead of the classic normal game modes.

If this still has multiplayer available i would suggest this over halo infinite any day.

Short answer: Yes. Get it, it's very good and the multiplayer is still up. If you are a diehard HALO player, this is really good for you. And it's one switch game for everything! (one switch game as in $60 dollars.)
Absolutely phenomenal set of games. Some of the best shooters ever made. Infinite is also fantastic. Such a shame the campaign wasn't expanded upon. The TV series is incredible. I'm loving so much.

I did buy it only to return it. I played this on my old desktop on windows 7 just fine on an old gtx 770 4gb. But I only have my gaming laptop with windows 10 and a 980m these days and the master chief collection constantly crashes to desktop. I've been able to find large swaths of people having the exact same crash to desktop error's due to their use of UE4 for the menu. 'Hung' or "fatal error" pop ups right after crashing to desktop happen within about 10 minutes of gameplay every single time. This bug has no available fix, and since it's been around for 5 years I don't think they ever will make one. It's too bad it's a good concept, but a horrible execution.
Is it worth it if I already played tons of single player campaign fps games? I've played like far cry, crysis, titanfall, bioshock, borderlands, doom, heck I have even played that bulletstorm game that no one cares about. Will I still get something from this game?

Ok thanks. Would you recommend that on a controller? That's how I play & I play on a couch with a TV. So I feel like it would be impossible to use a PC on a couch with a controller.
Yeah it can vary from game to game. Most modern games support controllers no problem and I use my PC often at the TV with a controller. Older games are hit or miss, but there's a site called PC Gaming Wiki that can tell you which games work great with a controller on PC

Its not worth to buy. They broke something in the engine and even a nVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti cannot handle the graphics in the game. Avoid it far if you dont want to play it with the classic graphics from 2004. In that mode, the game works fine.

Well that's horrible then, wow. Nobody will play all those games some day in multiplayer then, it will be dead. One less reason for me to buy an Xbox & also Forza Horizon 4 is being delisted. Still seems like Xbox has barely any games.

I got a question, im looking at a description of the game on amazon for a $55 of a physical copy. It doesnt have halo 3 odst on there. Is it added in an update or is it just not listed in the amazon description?
Unfortunately ODST and Reach are not on the physical copy. To my understanding they each are $10 to buy and download on top of the physical copy price

You can still play multiplayer but you can’t filter games out or you’ll be searching for a little bit.
343 really fumbled the bag by stopping MCC updates while also phasing out of halo infinite into the next new halo.
Halo Custom games is unplayable without joining discords.
I’m not a fan of the rumor about halo going on PlayStation but if it allows for more player base then halo needs it badly at this point..
