Tom, you covered the Aquarium layout very well. The gulf side progresses from near shore to deep water. Signage is often outdated and the naturalists at exhibit have the current information. It's an amazing place to visit.
Just went to Corpus Christi yesterday late morning around 11 AM with my family, we had a bit of difficulty finding McGee Beach but we were able to find it. I was barefooted the entire time and caught some Moon Jellyfish with my barehands. I think I saw a Sea Nettle jelly as well, forgotten if they are harmful or just have mild stings like the moon jellies. When we passed by the Texas State Aquarium, I felt like crying because of the nostalgia, since I've only been to Corpus only twice the first time was 19 years ago when I was 1 years old and with my family, and the second time was in 4th maybe 5th grade when we went to the Texas State Aquarium for a field trip. When we passed by it looked like they were doing construction near the aquarium, maybe they were adding more to it. I hope so, because I want to return there and this time with my family to spend time with them, my two younger brothers, my mother and my stepfather whom I in term want to experience the amazing aquarium for themselves. When we went to the beach, I was hoping to see a whale off in the distance. I hope to someday see a Blue Whale, they're just so damn gorgeous and beautiful. Thinking back to my time in elementary, I wished to see either a Whale Shark, manatee or whale whenever I'd look out to the sea whilst the students and classes followed their teachers. I live in corpus but will sadly admit that I haven't been to aquarium in almost 10 years. But they use to have a seal and dolphin show. Shame they don't have it anymore. But I can see they have so much more now. So I need to go back. Hope you enjoyed corpus :)
Awesome video Tom! Looks like a really nice facility! I did notice though a couple times you just say species but didn’t show the signs, is that because the signs just said the name of the species? Other times I noticed signs on the side while you were showing tanks which you didn’t show. It’s totally cool Tom, I was just wondering if you forgot or lost the footage or something. About the dolphins: firstly I love their names! Secondly: I remember you saying in the comments of the community post of this facility that there was a dolphin show? Is that next video or just a separate video? I just remembered you mentioned it! As always Tom, good job touring this place! Best channel out there hands down! I’ll list my Top 3 favourites: 1: No questions, it’s You Tom! 2: Dave’s Little Beasties ( invertebrate channel, he uploaded a really cool video on how Tarantulas moult, I’d highly recommend watching it and all his other videos, really cool stuff )! 3:Paul Cuffaro ( he has a farm, of course not for meat, they’re ALL rescues! He’s saved a couple pigs from being shot!! Super cool guy Paul is! ) The initial goal for me Tom is to get at least one reply from all the channels I follow, it may seem silly but when a UA-camr replies to me ( especially one I enjoy watching ) it really means a lot to me! Some are gonna be harder because they have over 1-2 million subscribers. BUT Paul Cuffaro recently replied to me on Instagram so I guess that counts! He just said thanks for watching and thanks le the support but it meant a lot Tom! Looking forward to your reply! I hope you’re well Tom!
The tanks that I just mentioned the type of animals had just the name of the fish. Most had pictures with the names which are the one's I showed on the tour. The dolphin show won't be uploaded, the music caused the video to be blocked. Having a show without sound wouldn't be worthwhile. I appreciate your support of my channel Noah.
Hey Tom, this is going to be a long comment so brace yourself! 1.I watched a but of this video and so far it’s pretty good! You might not have seen me in a while as i was busy watching other channels and carrying on with my life no offence...But recently I started watching your recent uploads to catch up until now(that estuarium video somehow took me s long time to finish) 2. Congrats on 4K subs! 3. A question to ask you:when you finally get to come to Singapore, one of the zoos here you can only come in the evening or night, how are you supposed to film? Will it be too dark? 4.Soon ill make my own UA-cam account but I’m too lazy to make one , I hope i do. And lastly, let’s hope the pandemic is over so you can go to my zoos or other zoos across the world. In the meantime, stay safe and ill hope you will gain more subs:D
Hi Eric, thanks for coming back to enjoy my channel again. I really appreciate you being one of the 4K Subscribers. My camera picks up all available light when filming at night.Thank You for the heads up about the time frame of the zoo's.

WOW, That sounds like it would be an excellent zoo. You should submit your recommendations to the city of Corpus Christi. Thanks for sharing such a bold idea.
The Golden Eagle must of been moved to Eagle Pass. Unfortunately that area wasn't open during my visit. I've seen Golden Eagles at a few other zoo's, beautiful birds.

Thanks for sharing your adventure and memories. It'll be nice to see new stuff added to the aquarium.

They still have a dolphin show, I didn't include the presentation due to song copyright.
I'm a volunteer at TSA and they do have dolphin show. Also the Caribbean Journey has been added since you last visited.

OK Elliot 😊
I remember when the saving sharks exhibit was an exhibit called Amazon
Howdy Tom
I'm so happy to see you Visiting this Aquarium BTW did u get some Gold
This was such a fantastic aquarium, all the different areas where so well done. I didn't get any Gold, it would of been nice.
@@TomsRoadTrippin yes it is
What animals were not out the first time but were out the second time
I don't typically do a rewalk at aquariums. If a fish isn't in the tank the first time it's highly doubtful it'll be there later.

WOW!
It's a great aquarium
What exhibits were open and what exhibits were closed
Everything was open during my visit
did you see the eagle pass at the aquarium while you were there?
That area was closed when I was there, not sure why as everything else was open.

I appreciate that 👍
What day did you visit the aquarium? I noticed there wasn’t too many people. I like avoiding packed days .
This was a Friday morning, I try to be at places right at opening. Usually less crowded first thing.
Have you ever been pinched by a Hermit Crab before because they have an iron grip and it hurts something fierce
When I was a small kid we had hermit crabs, I got pinched by one of them
@@TomsRoadTrippin they also smell really really bad
I don't remember the smell part but I'll take your word for it
last time i went i witnessed a seahorse dying in the dwarf seahorse tank lol
Was it floating on top of the tank?
