This was a great idea. Seems a wash or spoiled given the fertility issue, but lots of chick hatching is always good. Prefer dry hatching myself, as the humidity naturally increases on hatch day with the first chick coming out of the shell and usually holds between 60-70 throughout. Removing chicks is also a little safer since there is less of a chance of membrane shrink; I still avoid this if I have zippers though. Your experiment also showed a potential issue leaving dry chicks in for too long, as they may have contributed to the two stuck birds drying out to quickly.
That said, I know it's hard but I've learned not to assist. It introduces weakness into the flock. Life is hard, and the first test for these birds is the shell.

Thank you so much for your kind words and for sharing your experience. Dry hatching is now my favorite way to hatch as well. I recently did a dry hatch in my three incubators and had a good hatch rate. The humidity did rise to around 60 percent with hatching chicks. Unfortunately, I did have a few stuck chicks. Next hatch, I will try removing the dry chicks sooner. It is hard not to assist, though, even when they don’t always survive assistance. Thank you for watching and for the advice. I really appreciate it 😃

You are hired to hatch all mine. I usually get 50% give or take. So many die in the shell.
