Thanks for reaching out. I had the same issue with my original heating pad. I found that Sunbeam makes a heating pad that doesn’t turn off automatically. Thank you for reaching out. I haven’t tried goat or had to process any. We ended up keeping Fancy Nancy’s twin boys in her first freshening, which is our two gold bucks. They were our first home delivery and we got attached. Then with Amelia Bedelia’s first time, we kept her doeling and buckling. That’s Miss Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy. Since these three bucks are related to our does, we bought Rory, our buckskin goat. Unfortunately, he refused to breed with our does. We are hopeful that Rolly will be the buck we need for breeding our does. It has been an adventure trying to keep our three related bucks from trying to breed our does. We will place them in a good home if the right person comes along. As for the chickens, the roosters that do not sell, we bring to a processing plant and stock our freezer. @justonemorestoryfarm If you decide to try, make sure that you castration at least 2 months before trying. It is said to cook low and slow it's better than beef.

Thanks for reaching out. It is definitely a struggle to decide when to open the incubator to remove chicks, especially when they hatch over several days. I usually try to wait 48 hours from the first chicks hatching to move the fluffy chicks out. Unfortunately, it makes it more of a struggle for the chicks struggling to hatch. Thanks for watching.

That's a great idea. With that many eggs and trying to candle them all and stack them the correct way it sure is time consuming. Having a second incubator to set them in may help. I only tried stack hatching this one time and with the losses it's not something I want to try again. I recently did an eggsperiment with my three incubators comparing standard hatching to dry hatching and the shoelace incubation method. I have had much better hatch rates with those experiments.
