Must admit, I love patterned paper but trying to combine it drives me nuts! Even when they come from the same pad & are supposed to blend 🤷♀️ Same with Washi tape.
@@gwendolenlever7043 And to have an idea of exactly what you want & then find you don’t have the pieces to make it work! Although I just watched a 5 item swap video yesterday by Luise Heinzl & she demonstrated brilliantly how to make things work for you, even if they are 100% not your style! One of the items was a really bright pink paper on one side & bright butterflies on the other, and another was pink hearts. She’s a very grungy Tim Holtz style artist, & hates bright pink & hearts so I figured it would stump her or really push her to create something not her. Nope she totally tamed them & created a beautiful piece that was 100% her style. I was awestruck tbh.
Natasha I LOVE ! LOVE! LOVE! this sweet card! How simple and yet the mix of the color strengths and textures is just perfect! You are a wonderful teacher of creativity❣❤❤
How beautiful & incredibly clever! I love how this turned out! The beads put it in the elegant category. My fix, when l feel color challenged, is to use metallic cardstock. Works every time. It’s usually quick to decide between the gold, rose gold or silver, & it takes the “regret” out of the finished card with colors that didn’t turn out like you wanted. Great demo! 💖👏🏻👏🏻👍🏼🙏🏻
This video was so fun and the colors and end result of the card is beautiful 😍 it's been a while since I've commented or watched n I always forget about the coloring around the edges instead of wasting colored cardstock! Just brilliant ♡
I love pink, grey and white (cream) together. Thanks for sharing your thoughts process. A color wheel is helpful if folks have trouble, or there are color examples online to reference. Love this die!
😍 Victorian Velvet became my favorite ink color the minute it first hit paper. And I'm enamored with embossing folders. The combo made for a beautiful card! Thank you for this video--it certainly made me smile! 😀💕
I collect hearts, and even made a log cabin quilt with heart centers. This is perfect for Valentine's Day. Thank you for sharing so many of your ideas.
Mixing colours is my nightmare, even going by the colour chart doesn’t seem to work out or look right. I rely on people like yourself to copy. Thanks loved the string of pearls. 😊
I love the card, so pretty! And I love what you did with the pearls. I have been decluttering, and found a bunch like that in a box that I was considering giving away, so I can't give it away now! Thanks for all your good ideas.
I wondered why you did the colored edge on the cardbase when you added the white framing… and then you pulled it all together with the beads and made it just enough for the sentiment strip to look like a part of the overall design. You continue to inspire me! Thank you.
Uh oh!! I’m struggling to continue to resist the temptation to get a die cutting / embossing machine (per my comment in the video before this & another) - this die is so beautiful & my crafter brain is firing synapses of ideas & that’s extra funny since I don’t have a machine 🤣🤣. Actually what this all means is that your videos are so inspiring, fun, lovely & I have learned so, so much like the colour tips here- thank you Natasha!! And truly, I can adapt other ways to create a similar look all because of your inspiring & wonderful teaching! ❤️
This card is so pretty. I like the little bit of Weathered Wood mixed in, it breaks up the pink just a little bit (and looks great with the wood planks of the embossing folder). I really learned a lot from this video. The hardest part for me is figuring out what color to start with. I need to use your trick of making your own card stock color a little more often. Thank you for all you do!
I love Victorian Velvet. It's such a rich and unusual colour. Love your card. I like the little bit of weathered wood. It fits with the embossing folder and adds something to the background 💕
Natasha, your colour tips were very helpful - I struggle with what goes with what, whether it be colours or patterned paper... Love your final card - it's gorgeous 🌻🌻
lovely, tattered rose is my fave ink color.... btw you know the paper grocery bags we get now? the HANDLES can be cut off and untwisted to provide paper raffia...your comment reminded me...
I also struggle at times w color choosing snd coordination. Why I forget I can use my inks is a mystery!!🤣. This card demonstrates beautifully how the same color can look quite different just due to intensity and the paper it’s on. The pears are a lovely texture and focal accent! This is a fun die, as I have numerous heart dies thinking I could recreate similar with my nesting set…! TY for another great tutorial!!🧑🏼🎨❤️
Hi. Thank you for sharing your gorgeous card, it is sooo very pretty. Usually I will make a card with a specific person in mind but that can be tricky and it doesn't always turn out as I'd hoped. Much more often I have a greater success when just doing random or generic style cards with no-one in particular in mind at all. Typical! 😂
I absolutely love all your videos thank you so much for taking the time to share with us. I am horrible at picking out colors so this really helped me. Thanks again❤️
I'm on the struggle bus when it comes to coordinating colors, especially pattern paper!!
Must admit, I love patterned paper but trying to combine it drives me nuts! Even when they come from the same pad & are supposed to blend 🤷♀️ Same with Washi tape.
Me too! Isn't it frustrating to work on all the elements and then find they don't go together!?!

I am the same. Agonizing over the Theme, card size, colours, etc. If I just "Make A CARD", it turns out! 😜👍💐🦋
I love that die and embossing folder! I tend to use more bold colors but I really like the muted look of this card ❤️
Love the card and really love the Weathered Wood. Shades of grey work so well with pink
So simple and effective. Tfs
Great recipe! Beautiful card. Love the texture!!
Love the card, it’s so pretty 😍 ❤❤❤
