Yo painting here in bend, Oregon..I’ve been watching your videos for years and just want to say thank you..I’ve been spraying trim with the Graco handheld with a 3/10 and just picked up the Graco pro210ES for spraying doors and interior ceilings/walls and man they can handle anything..thanks for all of your hard work and tips on painting
In this case, he didn't talk about having to mask everything up which takes longer to do vise pulling the hinges and laying it flat like he does on other jobs. I've done it both ways and prefer to take the door off but it depends on the situation. Here he didn't mask so he's probaly painting the door jamb and shed afterwards so it makes sense to leave it up I guess! Anyways, keep on killing it Bud!!
Thanks paint life! I love this technique! My trim and French doors will be the same color so it works. The weather striping comes off easy too. Also be able to keep bugs out of my house during and after spraying. Man this is an awesome idea and can’t thank you enough. Also like how your vids have been power pact with technique within a short vid! Just awesome channel
What kind of weatherstripping was that that was removed? My weatherstrips seems to be part of the frame and will not come out that easy. My house is very old.
I've been painting doors like that for years and I can agree it's definitely better than taking the door down. What do we do when the door opens the other way? Do you still remove the weatherstrip? Would like to hear how many different ways we all work around obstacles like these
I'd love to see a video on finding and hiring good painters and building a great team. So many fickle and ornery painters out there with big egos. Getting the job done well heavily relies on the crew. Just submitting my request 😇 Neat tip on spraying doors thx!!
Great painters don't work for other painters. I'm a great painter. Why would I want to sell myself short by working for someone when my caliber is well above average. The only way to get what you're asking for is to hire a complete noob who has good character and integrity and train him to your liking.
Painter to painter, do you just hand paint the actual edge of the door? Just wondering if the door is different colors on each side how you do your edges? My customers always want the edges to match the sides as to which way the door swings. Not hating on your method at all, that's just my only question about it. I spray doors when I can, but that's one problem I run into. Thanks man.
I haven’t see you make a video about the magnet cover for the door hitch. I wonder if you usually doing repaint so you probably don’t use them or probably paint over the door hitch
You said that you spray all your doors other than the front door... how do you go about doing the front door? I have a grainy fiberglass front door and not sure what's the best way
We just brush something like that. Many painters, mostly old school painters, like that brush look. Plus, spraying takes the sheen down quite a bit. I guess it all comes down to preference.
I started painting a year n half i take off the doors last week the wind blew to hard and knocked the door down broke the glass and bent the whole door now i got to replace it
I don't have anything against this method but why are people so afraid of just pulling the door? It's 9 screws. I'd rather pull it and shoot it and rehang than messing with taping it all off
Yes i thought the same. I can pop three hinge pins in seconds. Most doors around here dont have weatherstrip. Plus u have to make sure weatherstrip is tight or issues with closing the door
I need your help with a serious question about angle of deflection and if speed matters!

Rock on Chris!

Thank you. Im learning new stuff.

Facts. Older experienced guys are also an option but you have to be prepared to allow them to do their thing…get it done.

I haven’t see you make a video about the magnet cover for the door hitch. I wonder if you usually doing repaint so you probably don’t use them or probably paint over the door hitch
What are you referring to as the hitch?
@@Idahopainter the back part of the door that hold it to the trim the metal stuff

We spray the front door down not up

Before I started my company I worked for a man that would always make me remove those. I couldn't agree more with this method. Let's go Paint life!!
Thanks for sharing
