Now he is NOT a Champion, nor is he a true all time great (top 15 etc.) But he is absolutely a winner, man was a walking playoff berth every year for a LONG period of time as the best player on the team. The Pacers 10000% overachieved this season, but did not wind a chip. I would call this a winning season on a million of different levels. Expectations, Win Percentage, Conference standings just to name a few.
Plus, you would call someone a great player and a loser?! I am confused overall, and even more confused for this circumstance. Please explain in a way that shows him as a great player and a loser?!
So you sit around talking Patrick McCaw’s 3 straight championships right? Cause he won them despite barely playing so he’s a winner. So from 03-10 Lebron was a loser right?

As a rockets fan I disagree expeditiously! A winner plays well when it matters! Time and time again harden has crumbled in the biggest moments during the playoffs. Every time we think this is the year, he finds a way to pull a stinker when it matters. Mind you I don’t hate harden like many seem to. I genuinely want him to get a ring, but I can’t lie and say this guy is a winner. He’s just a great regular season player. However the one thing I can say is whichever team he ends up in they always make the playoffs. He has yet to miss one his whole career so far. It’s just sad that each time he gets there we know he will have his worst games at the most pivotal moments.

The problem with the new NBA fans especially the ones that are online think all great players have to win a championship, most of the top 75 players haven’t won before or only won when they were old like J Kidd
For me its not about not winning the championship. A lot of all time greats never won a championship. Its about how they went about it. AI never won a championship but no one criticizes him for it. Why? Because of how he went about it. Harden would have great regular seasons and disappear in the playoffs. He did it with Houston, he did it with Brooklyn and he did it with Philly. And he forced his way off of 3 separate teams!!!! WITH SUPERSTARS!!!! So he earned a lot of the criticism.
What's his play off win percentage? Calling him a winner is like rewarding bad behavior. No defense great scorer good passing. Had too many bad losses in clutch to call him a winner
If Harden wouldn’t have had a shyt game in Game 7 of the 2017 Western Conference Finals when CP3 was hurt (as usual), Rockets would advanced to the Finals. Harden has his own cross to bear.
And when I mean his game sixes and his game sevens, I'm talking about the second round and the third round, or any round mainly if they're going to get eliminated, go look up those stats and they're not hard to look up, you could probably do that in 10 minutes max

12:25 Gil, respectfully, I've heard about the gathering step since the mid 2000s. James harden did not invent that.
Y’all just be saying anything. He said that because of the area that we’re in it’s about championships simple and y’all already said it in the conversation it’s the championships that makes your legacy viewed as a winning Legacy. Especially when you’re an NBA MVP talent Not like Robert Horry or somebody no disrespect to big shot Rob
I disagree bro..im from houston and i loved the james harden years , bro is something we never seen and he put them teams on his back but u cant say he did everything he could to win..he did everything he could in his comfort zone , it didn’t work and still hasn’t
The greatest team ever assembled was the only reason harden didn’t get a ring in Houston … that same team swept Lebron …… let’s keep that in mind
He's not a winner. However, a great player. Only non champions would go by this criteria yall made up... lol
I would argue that only losers go by the logic to be a winner can only be accomplished by winning a championship. Simple example...
@@lorenzokelly7654 Bruh the Pacers LOSTTTTTTT
So you sit around talking Patrick McCaw’s 3 straight championships right? Cause he won them despite barely playing so he’s a winner. So from 03-10 Lebron was a loser right?
Geez nba players mentality are so different compared to other athletes like tennis players, boxers, football players etc. It’s like they endorse losing more than any other sport😂
Nah, the issue is that this panel has no winner or player with winning mentality. Except for K.
NBA players naturally have a Me me me mentality some are more team conscience

Hmm maybe because two of the three sports you just named are Individual sports
They don't care it's the Almighty dollar!
K-Mart needs to go shopping cause his thing is definitely not talking! 🤣🤣🤣
Harden is not a winner bruh. This is not an AI or CP3 thing where the team relied on them but they either just weren't the better team or they got hurt. Harden has continually put up stinkers in the worst moments.
Yet JH was better than both of them!
If AI is a winner than so is Harden
Harden has never missed the playoffs
Casual take
Name his All-Star teammate that had his back and stepped up and had a big game to bail him out and helped his team win that game?
Harden built a hall of fame career. They even changed the rules because of him. Just something about the playoffs with him. The best guys play their best in the biggest moments.
It's so crazy how ex-NBA and current NBA players who didn't win much, say james Hardin and Russell Westbrook are winners😂😂 crazy man ppl move the goal post for them two and they did nothing for a TEAM but everything for THEMSELVES
What’s with all these profiles with cheeks all out
In my GC literally was speaking his praises. Like everyone he played with he taught them something everyone. CP Embiid Maxey PG
Just stop! AMAZING th criticism Bron got. Steph "what are they gonna say now" and Harden a winner?
Winners win at "winning time". Look at those moments, throughout the years, dudes mechanics broke down in pressure situations.
what has he won exactly?
I wanna be remembered as an Oscar winning best selling novelist who got busy with 90s Pam Anderson.
But until I find some way to make those things happen, I'm not gonna tell people to remember me as something I'm not.
So many armchair GMs in the comments never played competitive sports. Dense and Slow mfs. Yes, you can be individually classed a winner and not a champion. Not hard to comprehend. A sport with 90+ games a season before a chip, you can have a high win % & multiple individual accomplishments and be considered a winner but not a champion. Simple

He been to the finals with okc
Never forget watching luka for the first time he literally started EMULATING James harden but i know if you didn't peep it then you'll deny it now
😂😂 stop it Harden can't do anything better than Luka literally nothing maybe free throws 😂
@@snowmontana2547 said nothing about who's better
The whole “James Harden took Less money” is the biggest myth in basketball… he took less money because his stock went down … not because he had money on the table and took less
Why are we even talking about rememberances about a dude who's still playin and has a couple more years to play?
That's what people do for extra content and talking points.
@@silewis9396 it makes no sense. Harden ain't even in the discussion right now,, find a narrative to talk about regarding sum1 who plays for the Mavs or Celts. Anything else is a waste of words for the month of June
Ok the word play is exceptional here.. I guess if you at least won an MvP.. scoring title, DPOY, Sixth mane of the year, you’re technically winner
Steve Nash is a winner despite not winning anything.
Anyone who makes the hall of fame is a winner
@@chrisburton713 I agree
Those guys that say James is a loser just need to remind themself, the "tough" guy in their local gym that beats shit out of them cannot even make the G League, and James is the MVP of NBA.
Harden honestly should have 2x MVP’s. He’s absolutely a winner.
What's his play off win percentage? Calling him a winner is like rewarding bad behavior. No defense great scorer good passing. Had too many bad losses in clutch to call him a winner
.524
Winner for them is the one who got the bag.
Saying guys are “winners” that never “Won” is a weird conversation
He's a scorer that's it
If Snake KD aint join the Warriors, Harden would be an all time great, undisputed
Cry
If Harden wouldn’t have had a shyt game in Game 7 of the 2017 Western Conference Finals when CP3 was hurt (as usual), Rockets would advanced to the Finals. Harden has his own cross to bear.
If if if if. He's the hypothetical goat lmao
And when I mean his game sixes and his game sevens, I'm talking about the second round and the third round, or any round mainly if they're going to get eliminated, go look up those stats and they're not hard to look up, you could probably do that in 10 minutes max
Awe Silly Gilly with buckshot captions
Harden was my favorite player being a die hard rockets fan.
hes a top 3 or undebatable top 5 sg ever.
Other than individual awards, what has James Harden won? Basketball is a team game. If your team doesn't win, that means you're not a winner.
Saying basketball is a team game then saying what has Harden won other then individual awards is contradicting, lmaooo yall must be slow
@@M.B.A.B What I said is in no way contradictory. You seem to be implying that basketball is not a team game, which makes you a fool.
@@ishmiel21 - team game but ur blaming 1 guy for not winning a title ??

@@M.B.A.B If you could quote me on where I said that it was all Harden's fault that his teams can't get it done, that'd be great. Thanks!
James harden problem is not that he didn't win a championship, it's his attitude, Zero leadership, leaving multiple teams, and constantly choking big time in the playoffs,,, if he lost but still gave it his all , you can't criticize true effort.... Russell Westbrook didn't win either but you could never say he quit on his team like harden has multiple times
lol these guys have some real awful takes sometimes but this one takes the cake. Harden didn’t win anything so he isn’t a winner. Simple. No one wants to give consultation prizes so why would they give harden one for having a winning record? That don’t mean anything.
Harden is only a winner when it comes to getting that check
Winning playoff series definitely makes you a winner.
I know Luka personaly, because his girlfriend is from my hometown in Slovenia, where everyone knows everyone,so when Luka comes to see his girlfriend family,it is on.😂 However i am glad that we are living in an era, when TWO white players and not just one will surpas the one and only Larry Legend(The best white player ever by far),when it is all said and done!In twenty years from now we wont be able to grasp that the two best WHITE players are both born in my neighborhood(one literaly)...I am no rasist by any means and my whole life People were teasing me that I want "to be black 😅",listening gangsta rap from the early 90's,etc!I believe that anyone like to see himself or the people who look like him succeed and you feel more connected to white guy if you are white, which is normal and Human nature.! I can easier find myself in a white guy then in a black dude! Now its cool to be white,so....?!😂 It is what it is yall!
luka is probably best player now but his is not better than bird...u cant say luka is avg more points because now is easier to score, back than game pace was much slower too, more physical and they play defense:)...bird would avg much more now and luka would avg less than...so i think u can even compare players stats from now and 40-50y ago
I think for greatness you should look at the players championships, what their peers say, stats, how much money they made.
You ain't no winner unless you get the goal which is a championship. Stop the cap
This is such bs. So everybody without a ring in league history is a loser? Mj got yall thinking it’s ring or bust and he was a loser for the first half of his career. There’s a difference between a champion and a winner

The standard for a MVP is different. Never got a team to the finals & and always crumbling in pressure moments. No not a winner. You can be great and not a winner. With their logic everyone is a winner for just making it to the league
Saying harden isnt a top 5 sg all time is just straight disrespect

James Harden has the same amount of 50 win seasons as Lebron. He is a winner
Life isn’t fair and no jit is just as much of a winner in the nba as I am
Semantics man YEAH THATS THEM
James isn’t a winner not because he didn’t win the championship, but because he played his worst games when it really counted
Anyone with a brain knows he's a winner. Never missed the playoffs, has more wins than 28 NBA teams since he's been in the league, multiple deep playoff runs as the #1 option, multiple 50/60 win games, top 15 highest +/- ever. Only people who disagree are harden haters
To be labeled a winner. You have to win something
I understand what you guys are saying, but at the end of the day… When history looks back on James Harden, the world is not gonna look at him like a winner. That’s just a fact. I’m sorry, but people are not gonna look at his overall record and say he’s a winner… They’re gonna look at what he’s accomplished and they’re gonna look at how many rings he has! The only people that look back at his basketball career and consider him still a winner is NBA players, which is a very small fraction of everyone
If I don't win a championship, fuck all I'm a winner shit. I'm a loser
Harden is poster child of LOSER, he’s a quitter, watch his performance in game 7 against Boston. If that’s winning what’s losing!??
Just remember harden did what bron couldn't. Win 3 games vs the hyper team warriors and lost game 7 by only 9 points.
Harden has never missed the playoffs since going to Houston, I believe.
Houston Harden was Luka before Luka tbh.
