50m is closer to 20M after taxes. I'd take the 500M
Rashad and Miko were coming from “in a perfect world” standpoint and Gil was being more of a realist.
Gil was not being realistic. He's coming from the perspective that money means everything which is cool for him. But at the end of the day, McCants and Miko is saying money isn't everything.
@@TTJJCC Rashad can't separate the game from the business. Gil shut them down with the Kobe vs Fisher debate.
@@generalnsjno he didn't because fisher knew he wasn't the caliber player to get over 100 ms check his stats. He was a hooper because he could went and got paid more if the market allow it or stay and win rings.
@@torreywallace1494 No one was going to pay Derek Fisher in the range of Kobe money and they both have rings, so you've essentially proven Gil's point. The market decides who gets paid.
@@generalnsjthat was dumb because they keep picking role players vs the start player
I'm going with McCants on this one... I feel like the question should've compared players of similar stature in the same era and/or made similar money. Something like Jordan or Dominique Wilkins, Lebron or Melo, Harden or Curry, John Stockton or Isaiah Thomas, Robert Horry or Dan Majerle. Winning is something you can't really place a value on and is something that can't be taken away. Ideally I would want money and accomplishments to match up, but I think of it like seeing your favorite artist perform live rather than buying an album on Apple Music. Also, I've seen a lot of athletes that made a lot of money, never won a championship and still selling stuff on eBay 😆
That's not a good comparison most of the guys have rings and more money better comparison JaVale McGee vs Kemba Walker.
500 million.....bro u can buy a ring.
Thank you! A ring is a goal, but for some players, gotta keep the eye on the prize (that bag) and that ass out of the poor house forever.
@@washingtonrl I know guys I grew up with made it to the nfl and had to pawn their Super Bowl and conference championship rings and nfl players after taxes and getting raped by agents only see 6 figures for most. I know dudes who were super
Stars in the nfl and maybe cleared 4
Million after taxes in 10 year career fuck them trinkets secure the bag
Getting money and knowing how to manage the money you get is two different things Gil
Gil really be twisting every argument around. It was a simple question
Gil and Jennings mentality is the main reason why they left the league early w out winning. The money wont last as long as your legacy 🙂
No it was clearly injuries tf
