- Hi everyone! Today I am showing you how I painted a Sunflower using the Tombow Dual Brush Pens. So, first step is drawing, and second is washing out the colors to blend with a wet brush, thus giving it a beautiful watercolor look. At the end I used a gold marker for the sunflower seeds.
Hope you find this video helpful and it inspires you to create something as well!
Have a great day!
Kate

Wow...Love it! 💟
Kate, have u ever considered trying something like this in oil paints?
I sure have! About a decade ago I got to try out oil paints on a portrait. I loved it!! But then I got pregnant and oil paints release fumes that are harmful during pregnancy and after to the baby. So, my kids are bigger now that I could. I actually found some of my old oil paints so I am considering getting back into it. :)

Thanks for explaining, Kate.
I'm looking forward to seeing what you create next regardless of what medium you use 🙏😊
This is awesome! I have a set of 54 Tombow dual brush pens coming and I was trying to find something to show how to do botanicals and this is perfect. Thank you for showing it's possible lol beautiful art!
You're very welcome! Tombow brush pens are really amazing and I'm sure you're gonna have tons of fun. :)
So beautiful. Are these the regular Tombow Dual Brush markers or the Tombow watercolor markers?
what number are those tombow brush?
hey, I really like your art. I've been trying to follow your videos to paint with my water based markers but I'm failing miserably. I think it is a problem with the amount of water I'm using. Do you have any tips?
What type of markers do you have? It also depends on the paper type. Watercolor paper works best.
I am using Tombow and Lyra markers on watercolor paper
Gotcha. I'm not familiar with Lyra markers at all. Also, different types of watercolor paper work the water differently. It's a matter of testing to see what works best for you.
