at the end, when Childe did his last final thingy where he struck down with electro, I had to sacrifice good boi Razor. His sacrifice will be remembered.
When I was done fighting delusion Childe I thought it was over and was relieved because I only had Noelle left in my party, and then his Tartaglia form spawned in 😭
The pure patience that fight required me to have was crazy, I couldn’t get close in the second phase without getting hurt so I used Barbara to slowly kill him. Then with the third phase Aether’s wind blade thing was slow if that makes sense so Tartaglia would always attack by the time I finished attacking. So I had to use Rosaria to again slowly kill him, all of my team was a higher level then Tartaglia but it still took forever with two characters who had terrible weapons and food boost was what was helping with most of the damage. Also for people who didn’t think/know of this there’s a stew that reduces stamina usage or something like that and it’s super helpful during the fight. Sorry for the long comment, I wanted to tell someone who actually knows what I’m talking about.
Perhaps it's because it's one of the early bosses (I say early because by this quest you have hardly had to fight any in story mode aside from Stormterror and the Wolf of the North)

@@brodi4564 personally, I spent a few days building my team and cooking up atk, def, and hp dishes to prep, but so long as your team is the same level as him, you should be okay. They nerfed him like hell for the story quest, you got this!!
@@chloef6302 You're right! His reaction times were slower so it gives a lot of time to prepare for his attacks. The dishes were also a big help because the unavoidable attacks could def one hit you.

I literally only used one character and that was yanfei LMAO. I just stood around and dodged throwing fireballs at childe. It didn’t even take that long either since she’s my main DPS.

@@althea7181 honestly i just leveled up my weapons a bit. i also changed and leveled up specific artifacts for dif characters and that got my regular dmg up to like 100-200 on my dps and sub-dps. i literally don't understand how to get even 500 dmg on my burst tho 😭 the most i do is like 250

I DID IT😭👏🔥 I CLAPPED THAT CHILDE CHEEKS! you were correct all along! All it really takes is patience(which I don't have but had to endure). Your video was SO HELPFUL. I beat him with Benny boi (Sub DPS),Noelle(Support/Shield),Keqing(Main DPS) & Barbara (Healer) Barbara straight up held my team together. She bad bad👏 PS: & I'm proud to say that i lost nobody on my team even with my horrid dodging skills. Honestly best word of advice: dodge and stick close to the edge by those screening things. They help soooo much especially when childe has his mark on you.

Childe right now seems pretty easy compared to the Dvalin weekly boss fight, or maybe it seems like that bc I struggle way more with opponents that I can't constantly go melee on and slice away lol
I’m a newer player & had recently gotten to the Childe battle. I skipped over WL 2, straight to 3, so had to level my characters before engaging. He was 47, I got mine to 50. Was still nervous so I looked up ways to easily defeat him. I did enjoy your video & it did seem easy enough. Went in with potions & food ready. I’m not really good at the dodging thing, though & when I tried, I was getting hit more often than not. So I fell back on just attacking straight out. I’m happy to say THAT WORKED & I clapped his cheeks in the first go. 😁

@@lexiemin6697 I did eventually beat the a**hole and now grind the bosses occasionally and they're not that bad, except I'm still a bit intimidated by the Oceanids. Tried it once with Lisa and Fischl and got demolished... so it looks like my Hydro characters will be stuck at 40 for the time being...
Great guide. This is how all guides should be. Showing all the attack patterns, and doing it with low level F2P characters to show it's possible even with the worst teams.

i avoided doing that boss fight for so long cause i was traumatized from the large fight you had to do before that with those guys i forgor what they were called. this gave me some confidence. especially cause the characters you used were underleved but they still did good
Ive been trying for more than 10 times 😅 my (anemo) traveller is level 63 and one time, im so close to defeating him but items are in cool down so i cant revive nor give hp to my characters 😭. I hope i finally defeat him now. Im planning to use traveller, Barbara, Fischl and Noelle.
If your Fischl is a high enough level you can probably just keep your distance forever and hit him from long range for most of the fight. In the video you see I am just running around him a lot doing nothing, in that time you can actually attack with ranged characters!

U forgot one thing about childe for those impatient peeps like me, he counters After most of his patterns, if u attack him, the lounges really are the only attack that doesnt deal counter
You don't know how thankful I am for that video! I managed to defeat Childe with one character as main dps - Ayato (even though he is not build that well) and Barbara as a healer. I had two more characters but I didn't need them. They were only for sacrifices when I knew I was going to die (sorry Aether and Yanfei, you will be always remembered for your sacrifices). I killed him finally and what's more - using food only to revive myself when I died and to make my HP go up. Your video was the only one that was actually helpful. You showed all of his attacks and because of that I was prepared. I had to do it slowly and steady and wait for the right moment as you said! After your video killing him wasn't as bad as the first time I tried it and died on the first round. Thank you so much! I was stuck on this quest for ages because I was so scared. I didn't want to do it so badly but because of you it was really easy! ☺

I’ve been kind of mortified to continue with the archon quests after finding out that there was a boss fight with childe (and with the knowledge that I am not exactly the most skilful and I don’t really have the best characters) except at the same time I also really want to continue playing the game so i was trying to find a guide to beat him and also to find out how hard it is. I’ll definitely be watching this again when I actually get up to his fight to make sure that I feel comfortable when I go in
I entered the chamber not realising we’d have to fight him immediately paused then searched up a tutorial then I would watch the play through for each section then play that section 😅 all my characters were lvl 40 and Childe was level 47 and let’s just say I wouldn’t have completed it without this video lmao

Convincing myself how I won’t win with my characters, I got Zhongli through his banner and got the confidence but welp it was easy but I could’ve just used Noelle’s shield lol
I saw a video that said he was about as powerful as he was in the story mission, so I thought "oh lol this will be easy, I kicked his ass." Little did I know, Childe was the one chewing gum and kicking ass.

Great video!! (I saw hit after defeating him tho) I was a bit scared of this fight seeing everyone discussing it on UA-cam and Reddit, but I defeated him on my first try thanks to Noelle's shield, Kaeya's speed and Yanfei's range attack (My chara were around level 50/60). Having characters who can shield your whole team, dodge Childe's fast & fatal attack and attack him from a distance really saved me for this one. This fight really made me love my Noelle (my only chara that can shield the whole team).

PS: & I'm proud to say that i lost nobody on my team even with my horrid dodging skills. Honestly best word of advice: dodge and stick close to the edge by those screening things. They help soooo much especially when childe has his mark on you.
Thanks for the tutorial, not gonna lie I beat this first try because I’m very observant in boss fights and since I have Barbara, I have time to test certain things, though your video was very informative so I think I’ll sub for any other tutorials cause I definitely still have had my fair share of trouble in this game lmao

Childe right now seems pretty easy compared to the Dvalin weekly boss fight, or maybe it seems like that bc I struggle way more with opponents that I can't constantly go melee on and slice away lol

I’m a newer player & had recently gotten to the Childe battle. I skipped over WL 2, straight to 3, so had to level my characters before engaging. He was 47, I got mine to 50. Was still nervous so I looked up ways to easily defeat him. I did enjoy your video & it did seem easy enough. Went in with potions & food ready. I’m not really good at the dodging thing, though & when I tried, I was getting hit more often than not. So I fell back on just attacking straight out. I’m happy to say THAT WORKED & I clapped his cheeks in the first go. 😁

Note: he can only do his ohko moves when you have a status on you, so getting to the wall quickly can prevent him from ever doing one of them

you can use the free heroes wits from the new event shop we have got today to take them to 50!

@@lexiemin6697 I did eventually beat the a**hole and now grind the bosses occasionally and they're not that bad, except I'm still a bit intimidated by the Oceanids. Tried it once with Lisa and Fischl and got demolished... so it looks like my Hydro characters will be stuck at 40 for the time being...
Great guide. This is how all guides should be. Showing all the attack patterns, and doing it with low level F2P characters to show it's possible even with the worst teams.

i avoided doing that boss fight for so long cause i was traumatized from the large fight you had to do before that with those guys i forgor what they were called. this gave me some confidence. especially cause the characters you used were underleved but they still did good

Ive been trying for more than 10 times 😅 my (anemo) traveller is level 63 and one time, im so close to defeating him but items are in cool down so i cant revive nor give hp to my characters 😭. I hope i finally defeat him now. Im planning to use traveller, Barbara, Fischl and Noelle.
If your Fischl is a high enough level you can probably just keep your distance forever and hit him from long range for most of the fight. In the video you see I am just running around him a lot doing nothing, in that time you can actually attack with ranged characters!
did u do it? :( im ar 36 my keqiang is level 60 and i can't beat him he literally kill her with one shot i even tried with my level 69 chongyun and couldn't do it I HATE THIS BOSS

@@bird6997 bow users make this boss a lot easier (you can opt to use an archer as main dps, which is what i did)
U forgot one thing about childe for those impatient peeps like me, he counters
After most of his patterns, if u attack him, the lounges really are the only attack that doesnt deal counter
That's why throughout the video I say don't rush :P
You don't know how thankful I am for that video! I managed to defeat Childe with one character as main dps - Ayato (even though he is not build that well) and Barbara as a healer. I had two more characters but I didn't need them. They were only for sacrifices when I knew I was going to die (sorry Aether and Yanfei, you will be always remembered for your sacrifices). I killed him finally and what's more - using food only to revive myself when I died and to make my HP go up. Your video was the only one that was actually helpful. You showed all of his attacks and because of that I was prepared. I had to do it slowly and steady and wait for the right moment as you said! After your video killing him wasn't as bad as the first time I tried it and died on the first round. Thank you so much! I was stuck on this quest for ages because I was so scared. I didn't want to do it so badly but because of you it was really easy! ☺

He only does the special attacks (whale, dive,arrow hail) when you get hit and have the riptide applied on you

I’ve been kind of mortified to continue with the archon quests after finding out that there was a boss fight with childe (and with the knowledge that I am not exactly the most skilful and I don’t really have the best characters) except at the same time I also really want to continue playing the game so i was trying to find a guide to beat him and also to find out how hard it is. I’ll definitely be watching this again when I actually get up to his fight to make sure that I feel comfortable when I go in
I entered the chamber not realising we’d have to fight him immediately paused then searched up a tutorial then I would watch the play through for each section then play that section 😅 all my characters were lvl 40 and Childe was level 47 and let’s just say I wouldn’t have completed it without this video lmao

This video was incredibly helpful and I just realized how I completely overestimated Childe lmao I was procrastinating on battling him for like two weeks. Convincing myself how I won’t win with my characters, I got Zhongli through his banner and got the confidence but welp it was easy but I could’ve just used Noelle’s shield lol
I saw a video that said he was about as powerful as he was in the story mission, so I thought "oh lol this will be easy, I kicked his ass." Little did I know, Childe was the one chewing gum and kicking ass.

I was a bit scared of this fight seeing everyone discussing it on UA-cam and Reddit, but I defeated him on my first try thanks to Noelle's shield, Kaeya's speed and Yanfei's range attack (My chara were around level 50/60). Having characters who can shield your whole team, dodge Childe's fast & fatal attack and attack him from a distance really saved me for this one.
This fight really made me love my Noelle (my only chara that can shield the whole team).
Bro- He is so clam while fighting childe and me....literally screaming and sweating and crying
