Thank you!
Dave’s lucky to have a good working man like Allen and he knows it. I’m glad to see Dave letting Allen use such an expensive piece of equipment to improve on his road.
What's is say about Allen that his boss will just lend him a piece of equipment like that. I'm glad Dave recognizes what he has.
I agree I notice how Alan is in most of his videos which means he's very helpful and valuable
Not to mention in all of Dave's videos I think Alan is always one of the most hands on people getting down n dirty when needed. Not afraid to do the work. If only my generation and the ones following would be like this. The world would be such a better place.
In all honesty, your endeavors replicates what my dad wanted to achieve in his life… plenty of land to do what you want, build a fortress, have no neighbors, perfect world.. I was 27 when he passed away. He was a heavy equipment operator and he worked his whole life to complete the mission you’re working on before he tragically passed away. Keep up the good work Allen. I watch your videos and think how much joy you have improving your empire, as my dad would improving his. Cheers
I fear Alien isn't going to be anywhere near done with the "Mountain Fortress" when the clock runs out. But if he can grift a few bucks from Patreon and UA-cam hey, why not.
@@unclebuck5051 I don't think the "Mountain Fortress" can be "done", i mean, finished. Even a simple house has always things to do on it.
Let's just hope he will can make it habitable.
I agree.@@olivierrun8364
@@unclebuck5051If that's how you feel what are you doing here? 🤔 😳 No one has to join his Patreon if they don't want to, it's completely voluntary! So how is that "grifting" exactly?🤔 We like to watch Allen do what he is doing, and we believe in him! If you don't then kindly take your happy @$$ elsewhere!
This comment embodies more lives than you realize, my friend. Much love to you and your father!. May everyone fulfill their dreams before they are called..
Every UK Council needs to watch this episode. You find potholes, you fill them in. What an awesome idea. Alas I am not joking, wish I was.
Sounds like Aussie councils. Put a sign up to say its stuffed and leave it.
Nothing says you’re a valuable employee more, than their boss loaning them their $280k excavator! Good investment by Dave!
I don't even want to think about how much new tires with tread would cost for that Michigan loader! You have a lot of work ahead of you, good sir!
$1800 is probably 10 times more than he paid for that Nissan.@troyb9918
@troyb9918Oh wow, I would have thought much more than that, but I bet chains would be cheaper, and probably perform quite nicely!
Ten grand ish
Big thanks to Heavy D for letting Allen use the Sany your a good Friend 👍❤️🤠
Dave is a great boss and friend .. now wouldn't it be great if someone could sponsor Alan with a new truck.. he deserves it and he is the perfect dude to sell anything to men..
ALLEN AND HIS TONKA TOYS GOT TO LOVE IT 🚜
DAVE ROCKS HE IS SUCH A AWSOME GUY
you should of ask to borrow dave to
@@badboysfpv1724That might be a bit much to ask for, Dave is a busy guy, and I think dave is in Florida while Allen is filming this. 🤔
Looks great! Would love to see some wide angle time-lapse of the work too! Keep er tuned!
Same
It seems like he needs to invest in some more camera batteries. He is always talking about the camera batteries running low, and I think that is limiting his ability to get more footage. 🤔
You need a bulldozer to move that amount of dirt and gravel. It would be much quicker than the Sany. Just a thought.
Wizzy try's mightily to keep the thoughts to a minimum. He's doing a heck of a job on that front.
It's part of the show 😅😅😅
We're all part of the show.@@waynerick5755
He has a bulldozer but the Sany can do the job quickly and make less mess
@@maureencallahan1604not at all. I operate a d10 bulldozer for my occupation and could move and level that whole 150yrd road in less than 2 hours. I can move 25 yards 20 ft In 10 seconds and he’s moving 2 yards at a time smh
Hats off to Dave Sparks for letting you use Big Sandy.
David is a great guy ALWAYS helping others. You have a great boss..
I think I would move everything outta the work area if you have a way to get them moved back. Probably take a solid month lol.
Good to see the longer shows too.
Good luck with your builds Alan.
KEEP THE VIDEOS COMING AND WE'LL GET YOU FUEL.
You need a grader or a dozer to grade the road in, also it would probably help you level the parking lot a bit easier.
Lighten up cuz, Wizzy drives a Nissan Sentra FFS.
@@unclebuck5051Pretty ironic coming from someone who just trolling other people's channels because he doesn't have a life of his own! 🙄 🤔 😒 🤣
Great work Alan! Love seeing progress on the mountain! Fixing the Michigan loader really was a good decision for this project! Channels like your prove the continued abilities of these vintage machines.
I think widen the road up to the fortress should be next. Enjoy your videos.
I agree. Its looking so much better everytime you put your mind to something and with the help of your faithful Les, that makes so much difference.
Im so waiting for more of your fortress to be done but weather & money ARE A HUGE CURSE AT TIMES!
At least your progress seems to have moved a lot since you and Dave met up!
To be able to use his equipment and his factory are a Godsend!
Starting to look good Alan Does David have a D9 bulldozer That’s what you really need Thanks David And thanks Les
Perhaps Wizzy needs a checkup from the neck up. Just sayin'.
I work with dozens of people who drive 4X4 pickup trucks but have never taken them on a dirt road or used them to haul anything-fancy wheels, exhaust, lifted, etc. Then there is Alan and his Nissan driving and hauling things that should have killed that poor car ten times over.
That says alot about Wizzy. There are suburban housewives that have one ton trucks for getting the groceries. Alien needs a wakeup call.
Ha ha you are correct, but you can't stop a wizard. !!!!
It's always nice to see Les with you! I hope to see him more and more :)
Good work Alan, more videos please, gie everyone a complete tour of the site....😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀
Actually I'm gonna say thanks Dave aswell I really want to see Alan's project cont......
Well, because of Dave, his workers and his equipment, things have been moving so much faster. Imagine if this had happened 10yrs ago.
How far ahead you would be if you had the help of so much, way back then!!!
I love watching your show. Keep it up and stay safe! 🇦🇺
Hey Wizard keep your eyes 👀 peeled for anything that might show itself during the dirt moving that could be of sufficient value (fossils, minerals, prehistoric bones, etc.) ya never know! A score like that could help you get a jump on things! Keep up the amazing work.....💪👷🪝🏔️🤠
Can't say for sure, but Wizzy would probably prefer you become a Patreon. Just give him some cash. He's got bills to pay.
Stupid get real
I am surprised you have not put a little heart and your initials in a hidden place on this awesome machine!!
WELL DONE ALLEN LOT OF WORK TO BE DONE AT THE PARKING LOT KEEP GOING YOU ARE GETTING THERE GOOD LUCK TAKE CARE
3:20 The boss Dave, has GOT to be one of the genuinely nicest people there is!! .. Lending a piece of key equipment like this out, or example! :)
its great weather for big projects
You are just relentless in your effort to built the Fort Freedom 👏👍🇺🇸🇸🇰
Killing it on the content, Mr. wizard!
Dave and the guys including yourself are pretty cool cats A very generous man is Dave -S for sure , great update Alan❤️❤️💚💚👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧
Good job Alan, it's looking better all the time. I'm wanting to see you get more work done on your castle. Need to finish up the windows and shutters. Can't wait to see that castle finished. See you on your next video Alan, take care brother! 👍
Hey start making every bucket count must maximize every buck of ⛽️ then half empty buckets cost you extra money and time 😮 but I’m sure you no that already lol😊 great job
It doesn't appear to be about progress or doing things in a logical way.
Alan, you need a grade beam!
Find a 6' - 8' scrap of heavy "I" beam (preferably with a 12"+ web) grab it horizontally between the thumb and bucket. Your excavator becomes a road grader. I've watched skilled operators smooth & level as far as the arm can reach without moving the tracks once. My excavator contractor had several even a small one for his mini... They would even grade angles/slope just by picking it up for the desired effect.
(Don't be fooled by the over complicated DIY grade beams other YToobers show) It's not that complicated! It takes practice but in the hands of a skilled operator works like magic!
That works on grading a loose material, probably after the excavation and removal is completed. But the compacted material, compressed over thousands of years, surrenders only to a brut force of the teeth on the bulldozer bucket.
Lucky u get all that beautiful sunshine! Send it my way please! Love seeing that military wrecker.
Food for Thought, Not a single one of those rigs will care or be affected by setting on a slight slope, it will take a lot of time and fuel, wear and tear on the machines to drop the level 7 ft+. I think I would utilize the Sany to excavate and level the area you were going to put your depot shop. As long as the parking area is flat, it doesn't necessarily have to be level. All this is a suggestion, it is your property, your time, your equipment. But I would prioritize where I spent my effort, money and time, when I want certain things done or need certain things done. A little long term planning goes a long way. Good Luck and Carry On !!!!!!
Nothing Alien does seems to be making any sense.
I too question why. That's a lot of work for no apparent gain. Even multi-levels on either side would be more efficient use of time and fuel
Drainage. Did you watch the video and see all the ruts? He is most likely trying to form some usable ground and divert drainage.
He should reduce the need for usable space and build out the fortress and move in and get on with his life. I did watch the video. I can't shake the impression that Alien is addicted to subscribers and Patreon, and that drives his thinking or lack thereof. He gets plenty of solid advice on his channel and doesn't appear to take advantage of any of it.@@Kevytc
The advantage of living in this country is guys like Alan can do what ever they please how ever they want to.
Great job with both excavator and the shovel
I'd fit more on a shovel than he fit in the loader
0:52 the famous Sany Excavator!!! :)
Great work Alan you ate a beast never mind the Michigan
Great to see you again Wizard! Good that you could borrow the Sany and get the road up to the depot fixed, I’m sure your little car appreciates it. You sure have your work cut out for you, there’s sure a lot of vehicles, equipment, etc. up there.
Your commitment and energy are remarkable. A true inspiration to us all.
I love that sany That's awesome! We let you borrow it. Can get a lot of work done with that sucker 👍
Dave ❤s his Sany's Id say!!!!
Got a lot done ! But more to do ! Thanks for sharing !
If you ever have the chance to get one, purchase a M548 with the boom in the back. That land of your is perfect for it.
Nice Sany work Wizard!!!; )
Great job and keep up the good work can't wait to see what next
It’s a blessing to be able to jump onto some heavy equipment and it work instantly - rather than having to fix it first 👍
That Sany is pretty sweet. Alien is way in over his head.
I love that Sany excavator,!
Support American workers, buy American, not Chinese junk
@@redrubi3942 Agree with you sir!
THANKS DAVE!....GOOD JOB ON ROAD!
Love the dream and what you're doing. However, you're not far from a Hoarders show episode LOL.
New subscriber here, thanks to Heavy D Sparks 🙃
Can’t deny the love for the big ol Michigan working
That loader might need a cutting edge on that bucket
Allen is looking to level all of Utah next, so stay tuned.
LOL. Not until hes completely finished his fortress and surrounding area! Hahaha
We had such beautiful weather here in the valley last week.... and this week... SNOW!! Grrrrr
Thanks Alan!
Thanks for the content Alan....
You have an amazing Michigan 275A Series II. Take good care of it.
Alan the Wizard is on a whole different scope and vision of project than most of us. I won't doubt him. But would like to know why this giant project is being done to level a pretty gentle slope?
Keep up the work Wiz. I will keep following along!
If I ventured a guess I'd guess Alien is losing his marbles.
Wow Alan I get a kick out of the comments by people who probably never turned a nut or even changed a tire LOL
Interesting project! I hope that the ground is good filling and that you can use what you remove to fill up the lower part. And please dig trenches on the outside edge, primarily the mountainside, to keep the parking lot dry.
hi less you should talk more when you are filming like tell us funny story's about Allen it would be fun ha haha I'm sure you have many
Ask Dave to put GPS on the Sany. You can happily dig away and check your level without stopping.
Love to see all this progress man. Keep it up dude! we're here for you. Would be super sweet to visit sometime
Alan, you've made a start, that's the main thing. The worst part is just looking at what's to do. then deciding to do it! Looks better, now you've got a target you can aiim for. the more you do the better it will get. Well done ! From UK.
Loved the intro, good a good laugh out of that! 😂👍🏼
Looks like a good weekend of work got done! Great video and bring us more, please!
Hi Les, Good Morning Guys!!
Lot of work. One bite at a time.
Thanks for the video.👍
Im surprised Dave doesn't do more videos with you up here. sure would make the work go faster. also HESCO Barrier wall? hehe
That Michigan loader sounds awesome
Alan is my spirit animal
Just like a kid in a candy store, awesome!
allen im sure glad you post vids on our time zone, i watched again the meetind of the d broz, im in silver city and me and my squeeze would like to help build awhile soon were in silver city for a month and i need to buy some v-hickles in utau 40yrs fighting union roofers as my own co.. im going in a different direction trying to buy s&s 2 1/2,s, but i think most of them are fighting ruskys now
Alan - pumps do not make pressure they make flow. If you have a pressure problem it is probably a pressure regulator. Contrary to popular opinion pumps do not create pressure, they have a max pressure rating but restriction creates pressure from flow. ❤
so cool to have a friend like Dave, but I bet he says the same about you I remember the first time he met you and drove out there to see who you were living up there on that mountain and the cool things he said about you what an opportunity to have a friendship like that be safe keep up the good work God bless Joshua from the eastern shore of Maryland I would love to be able to get out there and visit for a while with all of you guys
Tons of fun. Thanks for sharing the video.
From time to time I run a Cat 980 loader... with the right machine you can move a lot of materal in short order.
Allen in your grade calculations are you allowing 1/4 inch per foot of run for drainage?
I'm enjoying what you are doing to your place.
@MtnFortressLabsh I'm open helping you Alan if I was closer I'd offer to run the loader while you were in the excavator.
Nice work. So it get's more structure and every machine it's place, and able to move, sounds like you are making great steps in creating a territory worthy of storing the beasts and work with them / on them. Parking space and work area. Nice. Get a little bit of peace, regularity and clean area. Arranging some oversight and insight on what one has is a good thing. It manages stuff easier and better and creates peace in the head to have place for new challenges. Nice work sir!
Love the videos, keep up the good work when you can find time. I know how that is, finding time is always the hardest.
Very cool! Thanks for sharing! live long and prosper!
Great job. Thank you 😊
I’d like to borrow it when you’re done. Think Dave would bring it to Missouri?.
I wasn’t kidding, I was really serious.
Great progress the NISSAN must be happier on the driveway / road in !
22:24 Sir, as you push in you need to pivot the bucket slightly up and down, even stop and throw material back and down and dig in again to get a full bucket.
You got some nerve giving Wizzy advice. He wrote the book on operating heavy equipment.
Use the fill and make your road wider.
I think it’s great that you have a bit of time to be able to work on your project, don’t get me wrong but Dave is good giving you work but while you are working your own jobs are being put to the back of your schedule. 👍
Keep up good work.
Keep faith.
Alan, your 26 minute 'infomercial' featuring the Sany excavator seems like it warrants a sponsorship from Sany with ongoing onsite demonstrations featuring a similar size 2024 machine.....(hit them up) !
I was by the mountain fortresses last week you don't have to worry about neighbors or high water if the water gets that high you will have a lot of friends
Good Work!
My little friend!! Haha nice job Alan
I hope you don't get rain at the fortress, like we get over here in Bonnie Scotland 🏴
Once all of that land is level, you'll no longer have any water run off there.
So if you don't pave that area with something akin to tarmacadam, you might find you've created a neat little swamp for your vehicles to bog down in.
Just saying.
In your shoes, I reckon I'd be more motivated about concentrating on preparing the ground for the workshop you mentioned you wanted at the foot of your mountain.
Well done 👍
watching the wizard before bed. perfect night cap. #theycallmethewizard
I thought maybe Hans came out to the fortress to be your little friend
Heck yeah!! Thanks for the videos.
thks
Thanks Dave
That Michigan is bad ass air brakes and sounds amazing
You need a dozer for that area. I would take one side down and bring the other up so you don’t have as much work….
Probably an obvious question guys, do u plan on selling off lots of vehicles to give you the money to finish the compound? Don't want you getting to 70 years old and finishing it then popping your clogs right after it's finished. Love u Alan and this is just my opinion & small constructive criticism but you really need to sell all that shit 😂 and get a move on with the main building so u get to use it and stop messing around on a parking lot, come on Alan myself and the other subs don't want to wait till 2050 to see u enjoy this place, come on man sell those vehicles 😂😂😂 love your channel and as I say it just my opinion and it probably doesn't matter anyway, I just want to kick u up the ass sometimes to get you to priorities things 👍
I agree with you, and I know there are people out there that would love to buy some of those old military trucks. Myself included, only problem is I'm too far away and don't have anywhere to put one. I'm sure if they realize that how that you are trying to build your house for "retirement" they would be more agreeable to better prices in your favor.
