When I watch a really good movie, I just get immersed in the story and forget about all the technology/special effects, etc. that went into making it. Same thing with your videos- I just watch, and forget about things like: launching, flying, and catching a drone in 25+ knots of wind- ALONE, while still sailing a pitching, rolling, bouncing boat. Climbing all over the boat to set AND retrieve cameras, including up to the bow, in conditions that have most people not even wanting to be in the cockpit, let alone leave the cockpit. Downloading, charging, and maintaining cameras and computers below in conditions that would have me puking my guts out if I were staring at a computer. AMAZING efforts to do some world-class storytelling, Erik.
Agreed. This guy works, and works hard to produce these amazing videos...and that's on top of all the hardships of sailing where and when he does. One of the best sailing channels on YT, hands down.
I couldn't have put your words down any better. They are my sentiments exactly as I watch his works of art along with other adventurers on land, sea and air. The amount of work to capture the footage needed to craft a fine work of filmography and telling a story to boot, geniuses at work!

Great sailing Erik! Not many people can understand how heavy hours and days of relentless pounding of the seas and winds heeled over at 30 degrees is. Respect...

That has to be the most compelling and finely produced sailing video I have yet to see of any on You Tube... ever. Camera work, soundtrack, narration and pace of story... par excellence. And of course the most awesome scenery brought to life by expert drone shots, lest we forget the long images of beautiful Tessie under way under sail and in seas Bravo. Auteur I've viewed every each and every of your chronicles, some several times and again, but the image of you on the bow looking astern, 21:59, as another 4 meter wave is building behind you has got to be THE money shot of all your videos. I snapped a screenshot and now it's the home screen on my smartphone. I am humbled as I honor you whenever my eyes cast upon it, as I find myself saying under my breath - Dude. As a matter of fact the sequence from that point for the next 25 secs culimnating in a most awesome bird's eye view drone shot to me is paramount. The effort you made to bring us there is incredible and not overlooked. When I was a boy, growing up not near the water, I too loved stories, read books from the Age of Exploration, Perry, Scott, Admunson, Shackleton, Slocum, then later Hasler... and the like, and inside my head I was You. What you are doing is living every young boy's dream. And tho I was never able to 'sail them out' these that were my dreams, and my body is now broke from years of labor, I am grateful you have chosen to take me along from the comfort of my armchair. So impressed by how this whole series is shot and edited, Erik! It's like watching a professional documentary series made for television. Would be cool if NRK or someone picked it up and aired the entire series as it showcases our sea and neighbouring islands so beautifully. Really inspiring to see you living out your dreams. Keep up the awesome work.
I agree with so many of the comments. Just sailing that sea is a challenge. Alone and filming the journey so seamlessly is amazing. Your reverence for the water and the lands you visit, your poetic moments and your positive philosophy are inspiring.
