On these videos I usually get a lot of comments about how good the skins / battlepasses are, but since this is a competitive channel mainly I haven't mentioned that. Let me know what you though of them!
Chapter 3, in my opinion, is pretty good simply for the QOL improvements. Better movement so you can save mats and for zero build, faster revives with more team mates, keys, reality trees, the new vehicle items, very good.
@@LordChrons you think Chapter 3 was disappointing or bad? Oh kid you haven’t played Chapter 4 yet it’s pure dog water from the weapons to the map to the quests.
@@macudapeter2384eh, Chapter 4 is alright the battlepass is absolute garbage the only good thing is that it has an original tier 100 but the map is extremely lacklustre. Chapter 3 overall felt very solid, in my opinion. The map had enough changes (for the most part) to feel dynamic and fresh enough to keep my engaged for the whole chapter. In terms of gameplay, the addition of sliding, sprinting & clambering feel like very fun and natural additions. There's now natural, built in movements options that aren't tied to items or builds. The Striker Pump & Prime Shotgun especially feel like geniuely great additions though (I'd personally like the Prime to stick around, was probably my favourite weapon of entire chapter next to the Striker Burst). I definetly would've liked to see some of the OG weapons make an apperance though, as you can never really go wrong with a Scar or Pump.
I agree, I think that chapter 3 was a very good chapter for us casual players, chapter 2 was very much targeted towards competitive players and I think that this chapter was just fun in general. Of course we’ll always want the ch1 map back however it most likely won’t happen, I just think fortnite as a whole need to sort out a lot of things, such as, the difference between the casual game modes and arena. Imo Chapter 3 had so many great mechanic & map changes, Chapter 4 has some big shoes to fill and I hope it's happening so soon for a better reason than a marketing stunt.
Chapter 3 was overall just a pretty good chapter. Perfectly balanced changing the map around with keeping it similar enough that it doesn’t feel annoying. Was just a really nice balanced chapter
C3 might be one of the best times for the game for longevity in terms of adding no build, all the new movement changes and do on. The map updates were good also, the only thing I didn’t like was some of the skins in the battle pass this chapter but that’s a small issue overall
Building should stay as the staple of FNCS and No Build should continue to be used in fun one off events with people who may not be familiar with the building mechanics, which is similar to what you said, because watching build and watching no build are two drastically different experiences you need to be in the mood to watch, and keeping no build casual, at least for big events, I’m sure will be healthier for the mode in the long run
I kinda wish chapter 3 didn't end so early. It felt so forced to change the map already. They also confirmed that they changed the map to show off unreal engine 5. So it kinda sucks that they changed such a good map for no reason other than showing off graphics.
In my opinion, the battle passes were pretty damn solid with the exception of season 3, the gameplay felt fresh and I felt like map changes happened often enough especially in Season 3 and 4. Overall a 8/10
I agree with this 100%. I loved the map, but the loot pool absolutely killed the vibe for me and so many of my friends. I lost a bunch of people to play with this chapter.
The new guns i like the most are just like my primey boi, LA pista, and Darth's saber, only like cobra cause snake name and striker is basically heavy ar/ AK but less cool
@ADMICKEY i imagine you didn't play chapter 3 much. For the first 3 seasons, not using smgs were equivalent to losing. All other guns were practically useless when the smgs were a thing.
Ch3 was in my opinion very very fun overall. The map was vastly better than the ch2 map, the new movement mechs added a huge depth of play to combat, and the updates were frequent unlike other times lol. As a controller player I really didn't mind the smg meta very much, but the loot pool in general is probably my biggest complaint. The shotguns were just ok for the most part, I honestly can't stand it when the pump is not in the game.
chapt 3 mobility updates were kind of a godsend but i didn't play too much on any seasons really for some reason i just feel the current map is meh and almost overdue for a change (not that chapter 2 was amazing either but i only really got sick of it on its 8th season) gun meta definitely suffered though, still can't believe they made the combat ar with insanely high recoil to balance it out only to remove the recoil and add a scope to it and rename it to mk7, that was so broken for almost the entirety of c3s1
Imagine a pay to enter daily or weekly cup where each player puts up $1 and the more players/teams, the bigger the prize. I feel like that would be insane because it gives so many people the drive to play and get some great practice in. We also need placement heavy point systems so that lucky w-key games can stop being a thing
Chapter 3 overall all felt way to short. I wished the OG locations stayed way longer before the reality tree corrupted the locations gonna miss tilted and shifty shafts 😪 but anyway chapter 3 10/10 but wish it was longer
Interesting take, I LOVED chapter 3 season 3, quests were great, cool battlepass, best music ever, awesome map, i look back upon it extremely fondly and i get mad nostalgic when i hear the music now

Sprinting, and maintle have been one of the besy addictions to the game. Im kinda sad that this chapter got wasted on a bad event. Ovr better than 4, and 5
As someone who doesn’t care about competitive at all, this chapter was okay, definitely better than two. The first and second season started off great, but there wasn’t enough added in 3 or 4 to keep me interested.
Man I liked the ranger and the prime. like as a no build player they were really good if you: A had midrange with the ranger or B were up in peoples faces out damaging them with the prime.
Chapter 3 in my opinion was one of the best experiences I have played ever since chapter 1 I left Fortnite on chapter 2 season 2 since I got bored but ever since I came back I’ve been so satisfied with everything they brought and cooked for that chapter too bad I lost my skills by going to warzone 2 not worth it
For me as a noob the combination of hammer+prime shotgun+rapid fire smg was the best combination of weapons there has ever been than nything we had in chapter 2.
You bet your ass it was mid! I genuinely think Epic used chapter three to keep us occupied while they worked on chapter 4. That's the only way I can get myself to understand how lackluster those last seasons were! Goddamn! Otherwise, why wouldn't they have made it longer? Edit: other thing that may point to this being the case is the sheer complexity and graphical quality of the new map compared to the last one. Seriously, this is the first time I have felt that a Fortnite map was something more than "fine enough" graphically. Honestly, Epic has hit it out of the park with this one!
Although the competitive meta definitely wasn't that great in Chapter 3, Chapter 3 Season 1 will probably always be my favorite season. It was carried by the Spidey collab tho tbh. The web shooters is where a lot of the fun came from lol.
Never played less fortnite than this year. Didnt like the addition of manteling, since you cant really hear (nor get visual audio) if someine mantles up to you. Hopefully ch4 will bring back the game
Chapter 4 has good mechanics already in the game, competitive just got a huge boost, Epic knows how to nail maps. All they need to do is bring back old meta with 5 or 6 new guns every season
I think that 5-6 is kinda too much for each season especially in competetive. Guns are gonna get boring after some time because it will be hard to create something new that is actually usefull and fun to play
@@Masonn14325 yup i know im just saying it as avarage player so not pro or high competetive player. Its the same thing like with smgs, shitty meta is just not fun to watch or play

I really loved season 1 and 2 which made me come back to the game but then the summer came and I was with friends and stuff, then just got bored of the game. I rly miss the map tho it was really amazing and I think I kinda missed out on the later seasons, sad that it ended so soon but I think that the new chapter can get better.
I wouldnt say chapter 3 was EPIC or LEGENDARY, but it was pretty laid back and chill. Enjoyed some of the events (dbz was my fav). LOVEEE the cobra dmr and some other loot items. Season 1 and 2 was really a great start especially considering Spider-Man was a battle pass character. Season 3 had its ups and downs, felt really dragged and got kinda boring after a while but it wasn’t horrible. Season 4 is weird but in a good and fun way😂. Love the chrome theme and a decent battle pass.
I didnt like season 2-4, the changes felt too drastic in my opinion. Mantling and running is really weird and i still dont like it, as well as the game just feeling so unfair with the smg meta
I wasn’t keen on it, was the only time I ever skipped seasons completely. Don’t have battle pass for season 2,3 and 4. Would say this was the low point for fortnite. And would also go as far as to say the game is probably in the best state it’s been since around season c1s6 currently
feel like chapter 3 had potential to be really good but was wasted by smg meta at the start with an incredible map and new mechanics. Although tournaments felt dry they were still enjoyable when playing them and I feel that next season if they maybe replace cash cups with divisional cups but go back to fncs format the tournaments may not get so dry. A switch in game mode should be great as well
My main complaint with chapter 3 is that it felt like every season they completely revamped the loot pool, rather than adding on to an established base like in chapter 1 and most of chapter 2.
I can’t lie I played the beginning of chapter one till like season 5 and stopped playing till chapter 3 season 3 and I enjoyed the game way more , way better movement easier to get good, zero build mode and all the game modes out there to play when you don’t feel like playing battle royal & all those collab skins bring childhood nostalgia
Chapter 3 introduced some good shit into the game. Solid stuff gameplay-wise. Battle Passes were hit and miss, but there were plenty of great skins. I'd say it's mixed, BP-wise. It's fine.
Chapter 3 had good mechanics. Like god tier mechanics such as the mantling, sliding and tac sprint (I forgot the name lol). But chapter 2 map was better. Chapter 3 had decent spray guns but classic guns are better
There is no way you said the boring, bland, chapter 2 map that they ket just hue shifting the color off to orange/purple, was the better map? The one with Boney Burbs and Coral Castle? That map is on a tier of it’s own, and in a bad way.
Not sure if im looking at things with rose tinted glasses but i loved chapter 2 i hope chapter four would be more like that i might start playing again
I’m my opinion and the majority of others, the chapter three season 1 season was great, although it wasn’t as good as much of the seasons in c1 or c2, although it was good, but overall chapter 3 was the worst chapter, not saying it was bad, it just couldn’t keep up
chapter 3 was the worst chapter because basically epic stopped listening to the comp community and put all there eggs into zero build trust me when people get tired of zero build they'll stop playing the game and go play something like apex or COD nothing about zero build is exciting because it exists in every other game.
@@topofladder no to mention that zerobuild is a complete no skill cesspit. It's just full of spray bots and 3rd parties who just start spraying at you the second you step into the open or fight someone, and theres loads of bush campers with snipers, it doesn't require any skill and is just luck based since it just depends who the zone falls on and who has the best spot to spray everyone, also who needs skill when you can just camp in a bush until final zone
The gameplay was pretty good, I felt the map was a bit too flat though. An overall improvement from chapter two though in terms of map design. Chapter two season 2 is my favorite though, because the loot pool, story, POIs, battle pass, and gameplay was just so phenomenal it overshadowed the lackluster map design. Chapter 3's map felt much more varied, but still suffered a little bit from the lack of verticality. So, I'd say it's gameplay was pretty solid, and the artstyle was a nice blend between the more realistic chapter 2 and the cartoony chapter 1. The battle passes were incredibly mediocre however. There's only about nine skins in the entire chapter that I liked. Everything else was rather mid. Also, the tier 100 rewards sucked. The end of chapter 2 had this as well, but crossovers should not be the lv. 100 reward. The fully original level 100 skins were better in almost every way. Rick Sanchez and Darth Vader were the only ones I actually grinded to get. There were only a few tier 100 skins from seasons 1-16 that weren't great. They were usually imposing, slick, cool, and very intimating to run into on the island. We went from having a super spy with the Midas curse, a Golden Knight with spiky armour, and an immortal gladiator with purple fire in his eyes, to Dr. Strange, Carnage, and Gwen Stacy. There's no mystery, no imposing mystique, no fear factor or sleek design. There's just, a character who we already know everything about already. There's nothing left up to the imagination or to theorize about, no mysteries origin, just Spoodermin. And the battle pass design is just less satisfying and easier to progress through in general. These skins don't mean anything anymore.
Yeah, but even if epic put a original skin in tier 100 reward, half of the community will trash on it and they will say that collab skin carry the whole battle pass. Which is Ridiculous and crazy to me. Although I wouldn't mind wanted a tier 100 original skin, but I feel like epic don't really put much effort into original skins these days now in chapter 3. Chatper 3 battle passes as a whole is use as marketing tool and some original skins in the battle passes look good, but straight up forgettable and look stale as f. I would have thought that battle pass characters would have a least one or two roles as npc's or boss in the game, but no, we get the same npcs as last chatper(only few new npcs that are from br) and 3 or 4 original bosses which is the herald and the foundation. Chapter 3 is just a pit underwhelming compare to Chapter 2 in terms of story and characters, but rest Chapter 3 still overally decently good. Hopefully, Epic would give BR original skins a more reputation and pop out to life like chapter 2 season 2 characters. wish for best in Chapter 4. Sorry for my English.
I started w this chapter - and the introduction of no build. 👏🏼👏🏼 so I thought it was great bc I have nothing to compare it to 😅 and as an older person who plays casually, I’m not too interested in learning to build 😩
MY HONEST OPINION Chapter 3 Season 1 was one of my favourite seasons of all time, but it started falling off after that. C3 S2 was great at the beginning, but got boring real quick. I didn't play C3 S3, but it seemed good C3 S4 was a little bit of a letdown later on in the season, although I did like the Goo Gun. The new "POIs" were just the same ones, but chrome. Seasons 3 and 4 weren't really memorable to me, but Season 1 and 2 were, especially Season 1. I still think Chapter 1 and 2 were better, because of the memorable seasons. I think the best seasons in Chapter 2 were Seasons 2, 3, 4 and 7

Season 1 Chapter 3 was great, winterfest, spider man, snow and a bunch, also the graphics were great.
Edit: And the Spider man mythics + tents.
s2 sooooo underrated
I can’t lie I played the beginning of chapter one till like season 5 and stopped playing till chapter 3 season 3 and I enjoyed the game way more , way better movement easier to get good, zero build mode and all the game modes out there to play when you don’t feel like playing battle royal & all those collab skins bring childhood nostalgia
2:28 sliding was added in ch 3 season 1
We can't really compare chapters imo, its easier to compare seasons
Chapter 3 introduced some good shit into the game. Solid stuff gameplay-wise.
Battle Passes were hit and miss, but there were plenty of great skins. I'd say it's mixed, BP-wise.
It's fine.
chapter 3 season 1 was so fun with the spidermans, new map and striker pump
slide has been in the game since the start of the chapter lmao
I really miss chapter 3 it ended too soon
true
8:24 🧐
Sliding was introduced at the start of Chapter 3 🤨
how do you only have 89k subs you have good videos
Sliding was added in ch3 s1 not s4 2:24
2:20 Sliding was added in Chapter 3 Season 1, not 4.
My favourite thing about chapter 3 was the map like rocky reels corney crossroads like they were SOOO good
Chapter 3 had good mechanics. Like god tier mechanics such as the mantling, sliding and tac sprint (I forgot the name lol). But chapter 2 map was better. Chapter 3 had decent spray guns but classic guns are better
Nah chapter 2 map was ass. It barely changed the whole chapter. Every new map change got removed the next season
There is no way you said the boring, bland, chapter 2 map that they ket just hue shifting the color off to orange/purple, was the better map? The one with Boney Burbs and Coral Castle? That map is on a tier of it’s own, and in a bad way.
@@MicahIsBatman2 oath bro ch2 was dogshit
@@timtamz3223I liked every season of chapter except the first one. But chapter three I kinda only liked the first one
Chapter 3 was so shit, most people quit this chapter and thats proof enough.
Dont forget the server issues for two straight seasons
Not sure if im looking at things with rose tinted glasses but i loved chapter 2 i hope chapter four would be more like that i might start playing again
Sliding was introduced in Chapter 3 s 1, slide KICKING was in chapter 3 s 4
you know this chapter was wack when all of my friends stopped playing when it released
I’m my opinion and the majority of others, the chapter three season 1 season was great, although it wasn’t as good as much of the seasons in c1 or c2, although it was good, but overall chapter 3 was the worst chapter, not saying it was bad, it just couldn’t keep up
Honestly I liked this entire chapter more like 80% of chapter 2 tbh
chapter 3 was the worst chapter because basically epic stopped listening to the comp community and put all there eggs into zero build trust me when people get tired of zero build they'll stop playing the game and go play something like apex or COD nothing about zero build is exciting because it exists in every other game.
@@Professionalfailure exactly zero build is a non competitive playlist
@@tonyxultra2279 only new cat is good original skin, considering all the art and offbrand that appeared day 1 of her ;)
@@tonyxultra2279 also cat is only one I remember
Ch3 in all was a decent ch
Spray meta just sucked
The lip smack at the start 😏
I havent played season 4 but i honestly think its a good season also the shotgun meta seems pretty cool
Sliding was added at the start of chapter 3
"the ability to slide in chapter 3 season 4"
I started w this chapter - and the introduction of no build. 👏🏼👏🏼 so I thought it was great bc I have nothing to compare it to 😅 and as an older person who plays casually, I’m not too interested in learning to build 😩
MY HONEST OPINION
Chapter 3 Season 1 was one of my favourite seasons of all time, but it started falling off after that.
C3 S2 was great at the beginning, but got boring real quick.
I didn't play C3 S3, but it seemed good
C3 S4 was a little bit of a letdown later on in the season, although I did like the Goo Gun.
