Safe to say your skills as a mechanic and your electronics wizardry are clearly excellent and evident, but your skills as a video content creator, producer, soundtrack selector, and editor are next level amazing. If you ever wanted to move in a different direction, your talents would be in very high demand by other UA-camrs. That you pull this off every 72-hours boggles my mind. Thank you! 👍👍👍
Sarah, we haven't left a comment on every video but we've been watching and are so inspired by you! You've done so much work on ragnar and we're fired up to see who takes it home!
My daughter and I have had so much fun watching these videos. It has also inspired us to do more to the 1992 Isuzu Pup that she got when my Mom passed away in 2020. Thank you so much for the chance to win this great Bug as well.
The car isn't finished being wired yet, notice how there's no hood, dash isn't installed, loose harnesses. I'm waiting on parts, so no, nothing is wired incorrectly.
Alouette, gentille Alouette, Alouette, je te plumerai...you were almost there with "A la bracket"..... you are so so amazingly talented...you Rock...full time...
Sarah, telling you that you have it going on is a way understatement. Anyone calls you a slacker is just hatin’. Hooray for Charlie to the rescue! Thankful for Angel Food Cake for assistance. Press on Sarah!
I am always in awe of your technical mechanical skills and the humor that you inject into these well-thought-out videos. Your talent is amazing. Kudos to Angel and Charlie for their valued assistance in this build.
For the shift bushing replacement you can tie a rope on the other end of the shifter linkage so you can pull the linkage back and not get tangled up inside the tube. That’s for anyone whose doing this job solo :)
Having had a 1965 Bug as my first car when I was in high school, I can testify that not only is it important they GO, but equally important that they STOP! I learned a lot about basic ICE functions with that car. I always said it was easy to work on - which was a good thing, because I was always working on that damn thing. Great series, congratulations to you and your team on the successful rebuild, and best of luck to the person who wins Ragnar!
Wonderful to see it move under it's own power. Are you sure something isn't wrong? VW engines always leak... LOL. Keep up the great work- love the channel.
Getting a project to the point where it runs and moves under it's own power is the best feeling. Timing/tuning/etc is a small task compared to everything leading up to it.
Thanks! Sarah you want to know what you accomplishe when you work hard making your videos, an appreciation of hard working people making the best of it. Hope you get that.. 😙😚😘😛
Ragnar looks better all the time. I was really impressed with the brake line bending. And no leaks!! Yeah, it doesn't sound like it's running as it should, but you have lots o' talent in that area.
You are an incredible mechanic, and this beetle has been a pleasure to watch you rebuilding it. Such hard work, love and devotion, these cars are like your children.
This Cookie Cake guy or whatever you call him is a fantastic addition to your team, I know he is just helping, but you guys look amazing on camera together.
Hi, We are from Brazil. We are renovating our Kombi to turn it into a Motorhome. Today, our greatest difficulty is the tools we don't have... Everything gets more difficult. Congratulations !!!
Ragnar is a relay race that started in Utah in 2004. I don't know if that was mentioned yet or not. "Ragnar was a king and hero of early 9th century Scandinavia. He was a conqueror, a wild man, a leader, fearless and free-spirited.* In much the same way, today’s Ragnarians fulfill their freedom to roam, to explore, to lead, - a free-spirited desire to get out there and experience an outdoor adventure with friends. They traverse beautiful scenery, conquer challenges, and celebrate as a team. They outfit themselves in crazy costumes, deck out their vans and tents and walk away with kick-ass medals, bragging rights and unforgettable stories of this epic adventure!" That's according to their website.
Love your video's. Wen working on hydraulik brakes, you can prevent brakefluid leaking out by depressing the brakepedal a little bit. The master cilinder then prevents the brakefluid container from leaking empty. Another method is using brakeline connectors, plugging it with a bolt. The flywheel bolts of VW diesel have the exact size and thread to fit.
Sarah, not sure if someone mentioned this below - the brake lights are incorrectly wired to the turn signals on your rear light cluster. The correct setup is backup lights bottom (duh, it's clear), the middle light is a combo running light/brake, with the top section being the turn signals. So that middle light is a dual filament bulb.
The car isn't finished being wired yet, notice how there's no hood, dash isn't install, loose harnesses. I'm waiting on parts still. So no, nothing is wired incorrectly.
@@SarahnTuned thanks for the reply - I enjoy your vids and this one brings back memories. I had beetles as my first cars - a 1966 in Sea Blue and then a hybrid - 1970 pan with a 1972 body. I feel like I know every inch of those cars! It's great seeing someone discover the simple but elegant engineering for the first time. Keep up the great work and for goodness sake, take a break!!
Love the handgrip covers. For future DIY wiring, you can use sparkplug wire boots - both plug and distributor, straight and right angle - to make nice little covers for electrical gizmos. Very clean and looks professional.
"Thanks past Sarah", nearly fell out of my chair when that came up, no idea why but it made my day! PS: Damn that video was four years ago, been watching well over 4years, there you go...
Great job Sara! I know, from following your vids, that Halloween indeed is one of your favorite holidays. That should show people how much personal time is invested in this build. Gonna be a lucky person to tote around Ragnar 😁
So great to see Ragnar coming together, you need a break -- damn!! love the attention to detail on those brake lines--- very cool! and you torque everything--- impressive!!!
Amazing build and so delightful to watch this ”wirtschaftswunder” coming back together. In Denmark we called the Bug for "Mariehønen".. Can't wait to see who wins it..! :)
Love that whistling fart, classic air-cooled VW exhaust note. Looking forward to the next project. Ya nailed this one, C ya for the next one. Best to you and your support staff
Whoever wins Ragnar....is one LUCKY person!!! That's a sweet car!!
Grew up with and loved many bugs, but never forget you have ten gallons of gasoline basically sitting on your lap.
@@bwalker4194 I've had many a baja bugs, even rolled in 'em etc and never had any kinda fire situation with tank in front, j/s
Who else instantly hits the like button when a new Sarah vid appears?

Don't be alarmed, Sarah, some of Us are here for brackets and wires and trim and miserable shit. Please keep doing those too.
Love the sound of that engine!!!
I want your BMX bike next to Keanu Reeves in your shop!!!
Love when you swear and you don’t bleep over it.....natural

Sarah, I believe you're ready for that 911 build! Your content keeps getting better and better. I'm glad the motor didn't leak. Angst avoided!
I voted for you for SEMA influencer of the year. FYI.
You are definitely dedicated to what you do. Much respect!
Uh.. how? I didn’t go to SEMA Haha 🤔
It's nice to see Ragnar on the move. I noticed the turn signals on the top of the brake lights came on when you applied the brakes. Ragnar rocks!

Charlie is the pick-up wizard behind the curtain.....Thank you Charlie and thank you Sarah for making my new bug....lol. It's worth a shot.
I know you said the UA-cam algorithm punishes you for these "less exciting" videos but they're kind of my favorite
You rock Sarah! Awesome work!!! I hope the winner really enjoys Ragnar!
Love that you put the bike handles back… and you even cleaned them😂! Love the videos Sarah!!!🧡
Love your kind heart and salty language, a unique combination. Ragnar has been resurrected!

Who needs PowerBall when they could win Ragar! This is Sarahs' best series ever, loving every video!
Love the music cue at 5:17. Ragnar be chillin'. 🎶
James May once said. that a beetle without question, is the most interesting car that’s ever existed. 🙌💯
Damn this is one of the cleanest bug builds I’ve ever seen. I’ve never wanted a bug before, but this looks like so much fun!
For the shift bushing replacement you can tie a rope on the other end of the shifter linkage so you can pull the linkage back and not get tangled up inside the tube. That’s for anyone whose doing this job solo :)

Such an inspiring and satisfying moment to see Ragnar drive! This is a testament to Sarah's hard work and perseverance. Once again, very inspiring.
