Also, side note. Her line of “do you call yourself a fucking hurricane like me” with the sound in the background. That’s actually the title of another single on that same album, and that little sound with it, is that same song. She was genius for that.
I owe a lot to Halsey. This Badlands album helped me get sober. I spent months listening to this album on repeat. It consumed me. I am now 9 years sober and I truly do thank her for that.
Her 2 latest albums are my favorite and anything from them is entirely worth the time. "If I Can't Have Love, I Want Power" was produced by the blokes from NIN and really has their synth sound. "The Great Impersonator" is a gut punch from the beginning to the end. If you check that one out, invest in some tissues.
Halsey is so amazing!! React to more of her songs!! You'll love her!! "Without me" is one of my favorites and you'll love love love "You Should Be Sad" She has so many good songs it's hard to pick the good ones
Also Halsey makes all concept albums. Badlands is depression personified. Purgatory. Hfk is a false heaven. Manic depression. Manic is a full manic experience lol. Iichliwp is manic rage and self destruction. And TGI is self reflection and depricattion after facing cancer and almost dying
thanks for the reaction guys 🤗 Halsey is one of my favorite artists so far and I'm so happy you guys liked it!! You guys should keep reacting to more of her songs like "I Am Not a Woman I'm a God", "Nightmare" or "Lonely Is the Muse" i think you really going to like it 💜
halsey is such an amazing artist !! her old stuff is just like wine, and from her most recent projects Dog Years is one of my favorite songs... just so heartbreaking !! definitely ready to go on this halsey journey with you guys ♡♡
Please continue with Halsey, has been one of my favorite artists since she first came on the scene in 2015 and I am proud to say I actually went to her Badlands tour and saw her live in 2016… she was amazing and her voice really sounds like that live. I was super close to the stage and I couldn’t believe she actually sounded that good live. Empty Gold, castle, eyes closed, now or never, Bad at love, clementine, graveyard, without me, killing boys, I’m not mad, I’m not a woman, I am a god, nightmare… The list goes on lol 😂
Sooo glad they did this one. I haven't listened to Halsey in too long but I am so glad they started with one of my favourites and if they do more, I hope they at least hit on the Room 93 EP, it was such a good Debut EP.
I think one of my favorite things about these guys is how they react like they’re having a conversation with the song/artist, you can really tell how much they connect with the music and appreciate the meanings behind them. The enthusiasm is infectious! 🙏🏻
@5:55 I will never forget seeing her on the Manic tour and she transitioned 'Gasoline' into 'Hurricane' with repeating that line...it was perfect and it's etched in my memory
Whats up guys! Big fan of the channel, fellow Buckeye coming from the Gem City. This was my first Halsey song ever. I used to listen to random music while I painted cars on Forza games. This song hypnotized me right away. She's incredible. You should watch her first SNL appearance where she painted while she sang. AMAZING!
I really hope you guys do more! And as much as her lyrics are great, her videos are so artistic and really help with the impact of a lot of songs. I really think you guys will enjoy her creative aspects as well
Lonely is the Muse is one of my favorites from her newest album. (It came out in October 2024). But honestly she has so many great songs & albums to look back on as well
OMG, Halsey. I love them So much. Especially the older stuff. Havent gotten around to getting warm with the New Album but their music is great and they are a really strong personality as it seems.
You guys need to react to a very specific live video of her, I know you typically do music videos and lyric videos, but this one is so important to who Halsey is and how she became the person she is today. Hold Me Down, on VEVO Lift from nine years ago. During that life performance she was actively miscarrying whilst on stage. Her manager gave her a valium for the pain, made her put on an adult diaper, found a very long shirt to cover up the top of her pants so you couldn’t see the padding from the diaper and sent her out to record in front of hundreds of screaming fans. She was still a very new artist, but her first album was taking off like crazy and they weren’t gonna let her medical emergency get in the way. That was one of the most raw performances of her career to date, she has talked about how rageful she was during that entire set list, how much agony she was in and how fucked up her head was from both the drugs and her mental strain. That fact that the entire mini concert is still amazingly well performed considering what she was going through just speaks to the kind of strength she has as both a person and a woman.
You guys comparing her to NF and Witt Lowry really solidified in my brain the vibe of music that I love. It’s music with messages of substance or incredible story. Not sure why this never clicked before but being able to make that connection because of you will always be something that makes me loyal to ya’ll’s insights into music
"Be Kind" really helped me shift my perspective when dealing with my mental health while in a relationship-i think you guys would really like it! "Walls Could Talk" is a bop, "Bad Love" great, and "Colors" is the song that got me into her in the first place! Excited to see more!
I have liked any Halsey song I’ve heard but haven’t gone into many more. I’d look forward to discovering more through your reactions. Mad respect for Halsey from one small thing… when touring Australia when the bushfires were huge & her event was cancelled, she along with Yungblud quickly found a new venue & all money raised from the performance was donated. Halsey & Youngblood performing together are fire btw.
This has been my favorite Halsey song for years. I cannot express how glad I am that you two are finally exploring her work. I'm not her biggest fan, but this is one of her best works to me. I cannot wait to see what you think about it. Keep reacting and I prom promise I'll keep exploring too.
Her subtle nod to playing the tone of the song Hurricane in this song when she says "do you call yourself a 'Hurricane' like me?" is genius! please react to Hurricane next to catch it
More… more!!!!!!! It’s a hole rabbit hole/ journey! I’m here for it! I dare you! She’s diagnosed bipolar and she pours it it out in her art. She’s amazing, and her music changed my life almost 8 years ago. She is definitely in the same vein as NF, and I can totally see how her and MGK could collaborate. They are very artistically similar.
Much more Halsey please. Her physical health has really been putting her through the wringer for a while now, on top of the mental health issues, so do send more love to her. Imagine the songs they would come up with if she collaborated with Ren!!! Wow.
The entire Badlands album is a no skip project
FACTS.
I agree
Front to back her best album
For real
Literally, NO SKIP PLAYLIST!!!
I am so down to go on a Halsey journey here on Rykerroad
yesss
PLEASE REACT TO MORE HALSEY!! 😭🙏🏾
Colors, Nightmare, Ghost, Roman Holiday, and I Am Not A Woman I'm a God are fucking INCREDIBLE
I love this. I think you guys would like her song Castle, it’s a bop. Colors is my favorite song of hers
Castle is one of the first songs on my "Songs to kick ass to" playlist. Love it!
Heck yes!! It’s an anthem.
Colors is so good 🔥
Thank you! I just wanted to write the same thing :)
Colors is one of my fav songs ever
Also, side note. Her line of “do you call yourself a fucking hurricane like me” with the sound in the background. That’s actually the title of another single on that same album, and that little sound with it, is that same song. She was genius for that.
Literally came to the comments just to make sure this was pointed out!!
@@kelsharriman SAME. my fav part of the whole song. ashley frangipane the woman that you are.
I owe a lot to Halsey. This Badlands album helped me get sober. I spent months listening to this album on repeat. It consumed me. I am now 9 years sober and I truly do thank her for that.
Way to go!!! 👏👏👏🫶
Nightmare is another good one by her!
Literally LOVE nightmare by Halsey, always hits
Nightmare is great!
"LONELY IS THE MUSE" THIS SONG IS AMAZING BY HER
(I have to add that the live vevo version has the best vocals with raw emotion) ❤️
YES YES YES !!!!!!!
Yesssss!!!
Yes! Came here to recommend this song!!!
@@kierstenchappell7697same
YES!!!!
This was not on my 2025 bingo card!! More Halsey please!!!
My opinion… “gasoline” is a euphemism for alcohol. “Low on self esteem so you run on gasoline” - you feel like shit so you drink.
We, the people, have spoken!! More Halsey!!! 🔥🔥🔥
Oh damn. I love Halsey. She’s what got me into Melanie Martinez.
Halsey is so amazing!! React to more of her songs!! You'll love her!! "Without me" is one of my favorites and you'll love love love "You Should Be Sad" She has so many good songs it's hard to pick the good ones
So many. Good mentions!!
"Too many good songs to pick the good ones" is so damn accurate. 🫶
Halsey's voice and her lyrics are so incredable and unique. can't wait for more.
I love how when she says hurricane, that little snippit of sound from Hurricane plays. Everything in this song is so purposeful.
ONE OF MY RECOMMENDATIONS MADE IT TO THE CHANNEL LETS GOOOOO.
PS Eric I’m definitely a G now. 🤙🏻 glad you boys love this song as much as I do.
Need this to do well so they can react to Colors- another amazing one with similar themes
MORE HALSEY! Her music never fails to be absolutely incredible tbh
thanks for the reaction guys 🤗

@ absolutely… this is why we are soul sisters! 🫶🏻🫶🏻
Sooo glad they did this one. I haven't listened to Halsey in too long but I am so glad they started with one of my favourites and if they do more, I hope they at least hit on the Room 93 EP, it was such a good Debut EP.
Yesss!!! Empty Gold, please. The beat on that chorus is so nasty. 🤘
MORE HALSEY REACTIONS PLZZZZ
Yesss! She’s one of my absolute favorites.
This album has been in my top 3 albums of all time since it came out ❤
I remember this song being used in a video for the first suicide squad movie , it was a perfect fit
I absolutely love Halsey!! I'm down for a journey of her whole discography.
MORE HALSEY PLEASE SHE IS SO UNDERRATED!!!!
start at the beginning and go thru her whole discography
I agree. They could skip around and be just fine but I do feel like starting from the beginning tells a full story.
“You Should Be Sad” acoustic version by her never fails to make me tear up. Y’all should give it a listen ❤️❤️
I think one of my favorite things about these guys is how they react like they’re having a conversation with the song/artist, you can really tell how much they connect with the music and appreciate the meanings behind them. The enthusiasm is infectious! 🙏🏻

OOOOH, this is GOOOOOD! Thanks for another 1st! 🤗❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥💯
5:34 Bruh, Haunting is literally the title of another song of Halsey's on this very same album.
PLEASE KEEP ON HALSEY!!!
you guys are gonna like it so much, i can garantee.
Love love love the vibe of this song.
I really hope you guys do more! And as much as her lyrics are great, her videos are so artistic and really help with the impact of a lot of songs. I really think you guys will enjoy her creative aspects as well
Lonely is the Muse is one of my favorites from her newest album. (It came out in October 2024). But honestly she has so many great songs & albums to look back on as well
I clicked on this video so fast. I would LOVE a Halsey journey with you guys. Her songs are so raw and euphoric to listen to.
YOU NEED MORE HALSEY!! she is a gift to the world!
OMG, Halsey. I love them So much. Especially the older stuff. Havent gotten around to getting warm with the New Album but their music is great and they are a really strong personality as it seems.

And now she has the "Ender" of that pain. 🥹
All 5 of Halsey’s albums are masterpieces and all her features on other peoples projects are top notch
Would love to continue this!
Dudes, i loved this song in a certain point of my life years ago, i didn't know anyone else cared about it. Love to see it come back to light now.
Haunting and Control are still my two favorite Halsey songs. But everything she sings is amazing.
I'm a metal head and I love Halsey. The entire Badlands album has this vibe. Also hopeless fountain kingdom has a series of videos that tell a story.
oh i been waiting for this one!!!
You guys comparing her to NF and Witt Lowry really solidified in my brain the vibe of music that I love. It’s music with messages of substance or incredible story. So excited for y’all to do more Halsey Control by Halsey next she’s awesome
“You should be sad” and “sorry” are great songs
I absolutely recommend the songs Colors, Control, and Castle by Halsey. They're so iconic, esp the lyrics
This
This is 100% my favorite song and I will watch any of them.
Amazing song! Really hits hard
"Be Kind" really helped me shift my perspective when dealing with my mental health while in a relationship-i think you guys would really like it! "Walls Could Talk" is a bop, "Bad Love" great, and "Colors" is the song that got me into her in the first place! Excited to see more!

I only have one Halsey song on my playlist and this is the one. It's incredible.
This whole album is FIRE!! I'm excited you guys are going down the Halsey rabbit hole 😊
Halsey talks A LOT about mental health. This one and “control” are my two favorites.
Yeees Please react to this whole album😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️
Badlands is AMAZING. Every track is perfection.
I love Halsey! Some of my favorite songs are Bells in Santa Fe, 1121, Castle, and The Tradition. Hope you guys keep going.
Definitely time to go on a halsey journey lads!
Yall will love everything she does! I can’t wait for more Halsey reactions!
Castle, hurricane, ghost, just a few of so many great songs from her. 😍
FINALLYYY!!! 🎉🎉🎉 I love it. Another really good one is Colors.
Her subtle nod to playing the tone of the song Hurricane in this song when she says "do you call yourself a 'Hurricane' like me?" is genius! please react to Hurricane next to catch it
Her song Without You is a really good song too, I think you'd both really like it
Her last work "The Great impersonator" is definitely the best pop album of 2024! Lyrics are top tier
Dude Eric always uses the crazies “cups” 😂 I love it

My wife and I love this album, we have a "cleaning the house" playlist and this entire album is on there lol.
