I remember years ago when I was in Bavaria, I visited the Spaten Brewery which is extremely famous. Isabella who was the lady giving us a tour of the place told us that there was a court case recently there which had gotten a lot of publicity when a construction worker sued his workplace for wrongful termination. The guy worked for a construction company that had been bought and the new owners went over the employee roster. Apparently there was a guy had worked at the same place for 15 years and every coffee break and lunch break, he'd gotten a beer instead. When they got to court the judge only asked "Has he caused any work related accidents" and when the answer was "No", the judge immediately ruled in favor of the guy who was fired. Germans take their beer seriously.
I went to Munich and took the BMW factory tour. Everyone had a beer at their workstation and a bottle of schnapps hanging out of their back pocket. I was thinking this is so much different than here in the US.
I was at a manufacturing plant in Austria that had a beer vending machine in the break room.
German here.
Id get fired instantly if i had even a sip of beer at work.

Josh, your response segment was well spoken. I feel that from your explanation of things that there is no way that the person who complained is perfect by any means. There is a good chance they’re one of those that texts and drives, and very well may have their own messed up family member that they are too “blind” to see their addictions or problems. Most of the time people are looking for an excuse to either get their money back, or bring other people down because they themselves are hypocrites and unhappy with their own lives. If someone wants to criticize you for a YT video, then there are plenty of other channels, or plenty of other things they can do with their time in a day.
Keep doing great things for Forgotten Angels, and keep building motorcycles and having fun with your friends!
That is unfortunate as someone that was very fortunate to get to hang out with Shadetree and Chey, I can and would vouch for them being safe, sane, and on the level. Not that my opinion matters at all but I feel like it needed to be said. I hope I can get back to hang with ya'll soon because it's a great experience.

In 22 years as a Deputy Sheriff I never arrested a drunk driver on a motorcycle. I did investigate fatal motorcycle accidents and the blood tests came back impaired.
Now, I did stop people reading books while driving. A lady balancing her checkbook. A teacher grading papers and women putting on make and men shaving with an electric shaver.
If you want to smoke weed in your house go for it.
I’ve arrested serious drug addicts, put them in jail to get them clean and hope they stay clean. One drunk driver was a Vietnam Vet with serious drinking problems. Gave him my pager number and helped him get into a program and get his job back. Had him set at my table with my family and shared a meal. He relapsed and I never saw him again. Had a CI confidential informant who I arrested for driving without a license. He was on heroin which he had on him. Let that slide, he helped me clear a lot of breaking and entering, thefts of tools and four wheelers along with dirt bikes. He kicked the habit but the harm was done. His liver. I’d stop by and see him and found his Mom had dementia and he was her caregiver. Several years after retiring I found he passed away. Well since his friends hated Cops I didn’t attend his funeral, I still visit him from time to time when I’m I on a ride.
It’s easy to quit and you’re not hurting Josh or Chey by pulling your support. You’re however hurting those young men who this money goes to help. I was a motorcycle Deputy and we escorted many of biker rides. Let me tell you what I found out. Bikers are great people and will drop everything to help you.

Nobody is perfect! The people who think of them selves as perfect are typically narcissists,, who are the worst personalities in existence. The people to trust are the ones who have stepped in the turd and have learned from it, have risen above it and made themselves better people based on their experiences. Being a genuine good person is in your heart, not in a few bad decisions in life...

High horse people tend to be people who cause a lot of hurt while thinking they're being the best people on the planet. You've all legit helped a hell of a lot of people, and when you met my awkward ass didn't make me feel like an awkward weirdo. Keep at it. The honesty is why I started watching way back when.

As someone who grew up in the motorcycle world, raised around dirty, vulgar, and loud bikers, I wouldnt call anyone else when Im in need. When will the world learn that a biker would give the shirt off their back for anyone. To take funding away from these kids because of an association with a biker is just downright wrong and whoever that is should be ashamed of themselves. I cant give the 10k that was lost, but your video got me on the site before I even got to the end, to donate what I could. Keep up what you are doing for them, and forget the ones who dont understand.

I really like the v star warrior I remember when they came out 2002, I was working at Cahill's N Tampa doing fright n prep so I got to uncrate it and put it together bars front tire etc etc that big azz canon of an exhaust was one of the first things to go people would buy the shtright bubs pips and it was really good looking after that and it didn't look as heavy of bike with the bubs sounded better too

My reaction to this is that next time I will get two raffle tickets for Forgotten Angels.
We need to show compassion and love to so called drug addicts. I hate labels and have fallen out with some holder than thou narrow minded bikers. There are a lot of ambiguous gray areas in life. The person may feel such despair, depression or be in such a bad state that they use drink or drugs self medicating believing it's masking their awful situation. I have huge respect for anyone who quits or is trying to quit. Some may relapse and tragically loose their life and I'm sure many of us would've made different choices when we were very young. I gave up smoking after 35 years as it started giving me shakes and feeling not good and it's 11 years now. Shade tree you are an amazing kind happy go lucky and smart guy don't put yourself down . I've been watching your channel for a few years from London. Yeah I loved the chopper 750 Honda ride. Reminds me of some of my old rat bikes I rode in the eighties ninetys . I married and moved to Switzerland for 7 years and had to sell a BSA A10. I cry inside and wish I'd chosen the bike instead of a control freak. I like rocket 3 but it will eat rear rubber in less than 1000 miles if you ride it like if you stole it. Rather have Thunderbird 1700 LT but they ain't cheap. Cheers matey.
I’ve been in recovery 18 years and know it’s rough getting sober. Even tougher staying sober but I paid a huge price when I relapsed. But riding a 2 wheeler is dangerous drunk or sober. Park it when you drink the life you save maybe you’re own😊

I love what you guys do. The bike stuff the forgotten angels stuff and everything else you get upto. Generally the motorcycle community is always there to support others. Keep up the good work Chey. I kicked it all 30 years ago. Josh I wish I could talk like you. There is an almost cartoonish way about you that is entertaining. Keep proving that bad people can do good things and its ok to be a bit rough around the edges.

I’m pretty against drunk driving. That being said, if someone is going to drink and drive, I 100% rather they be on a bike than behind the wheel of a 4 wheel vehicle.
Go beyond your limits and run into a car on your bike, you’re very unlikely to hurt someone else. Go beyond your limits and hit someone in your suburban, that’s a whole other story.
I do rideshare and I have carried people who have been affected by drunk drivers, and people who have lost their license after going over.
I fall into the I don't drink while riding, but people are built different and other people are gonna tolerate a few drinks differently.
And yeah, holier than thou people grind my gears.
The only thing that helps me threw the winter is watching all of Chey and your content. These people who think the high road is the only road in life clearly don't have friends in low places. Stay Wierd
13:14 - Monster Energy drinks are actually addictive. For several years, I used to drink four or five per day, and would get headaches and the shakes if I didn't drink another one. I tried coffee, tea or even took caffeine tablets, but that wasn't what was missing. It became so bad that I could drink two ME and then go to sleep. I never had high blood pressure before, but developed it. Even after finally quitting, the high BP remains. ME is really BAD. They even admit, right on the can, that they "cook it up in their lab". It is Poison.
The way I discovered to quit without 'side effects' was to take original, caffeine-free Brain Force nutraceutical, which is 'generally regarded as safe'. When I would have got another Monster, I took two capsules, as directed, instead. I never got sick again. Two weeks later, the BF ran out and I have not drank any type oj energy drink again. I've been Monster-free for almost ten years now, but still have high BP. The stuff is physically addictive poison.

I understand the emotional response of the rant. And far be it for me to give advice on dealing with aggravating situations or opinions. As I have done the same thing. And in hindsight regretfully. Personal attacks on one's character can make your blood boil.
Much like the saying "pics or it didn't happen" . Sadly, UA-cam also can be used as "evidence" to prove a point. Hence why editing is important to protect the innocent. Much like tweets for people come back to haunt them.
You and Chey hearts are in the right place. Using your channel for a good purpose. With great power comes great responsibility as it goes.
Maybe a calmer mind prevails. Perhaps, at the start of the video or any video. Which contains alcohol or "drugs" used or mentioned....to ease the white knights. A disclaimer decrying such things a impaired driving. And support line phone number for those who need help dealing with hurt butts.

I have to say I have never met a honest law abiding citizen, yes I have met many that say they are. But when you dig down they do something law or society doesn't like. For example a friend who is righteous loves to watch pirated movies... but anyone that smokes is evil. It's all about perspective, yours or mine may not be the same and thank f*ck for that.

I am no where near perfect, but I am absolutely against ANY kind of driving distracted/impaired. However, I would trust Shade behind the wheel of a vehicle over most soccer moms these days. I have almost been taken out several times by a 40 something karen behind the wheel of a minivan doing 60 down the residential streets of my town while texting the HOA about kids playing in the street.

One year ago I didn't even know there was such a thing as a "dirty hobo swamp wizard". I also had never heard of Forgotten Angels. Since then I have come to admire the work and mission of David, Cindy, and the crew. Awesome stuff for sure, and much needed. As for you, Shadetree, you offer some of the most genuine, insightful, sometimes insane, and engaging content on the internet. I personally have never doubted your character or your heart.
