OK you might be right but at the same time making statements about people not having a pot to piss in is bullshit. It's been plenty of long lasting relationships from people meeting at a low point in life. It's people that got degrees making 100k not good in a relationship. A woman meeting me why I don't have a pot to piss in and stick around when I'm successful is the woman I need to marry not the one coming in my life after success why do I need her then she wasn't shooting with me in the gym . That's the point I'm trying to make rather a person successful or not that doesn't guarantee a positive long lasting relationship.

Dating online is literally the same as meeting someone in the grocery store, gas station, club or church. You still don't fully know that person. They can still tell you anything. Its just up to you to take your time to get to know that person without jumping in so quick. And make sure to try to get them comfortable over time so that you can get their full name to do a background check on they ass for safety's sake. Stay safe ladies however you decide to meet people.

Yell, curse at or try to dominate or control me and that's your first and last time. I cut a few people out for that reason because I could SEE who they really were but they didn't see me.

This beautiful woman fell for the old okey doke and it's hard to believe she chose such an evil sadistic loser. A DOJ lawyer at that level.
I once had a roommate 40 years ago put his fist in my face and threaten to kill me. After they left the house I barricaded my door. While he,was at work the next day I packed my 💩 in my car, turned the keys in, found a cheap motel and NEVER saw him again. Thanks to the internet I found he died 10 years ago.

No one tells women it's ok to be single or to even have a child alone if you want a child and you're already very successful so you know you have the money to provide for your child AND a great support system. Lauren had her Dad, friends and family all around her. Marriage isn't always the answer or the end all for a happily ever after. But, society judges women and single mothers SO harshly. Especially Black single mothers. I blame society for putting this pressure on Lauren to settle just to have the "American Dream" and "Black love".

Dating online is NOT the same as meeting someone who lives around you (grocery stores, churches, school). The internet adds a layer of deceit and puts you in contact with people who you likely would not cross paths with in your own social circle. She would have NEVER met this man without a dating app. Their lives were too different. He did not work, had no goals, they would not have met. The only commonality dating apps bring between two people is the desire to meet someone and even with that commonality, the nuance of the reasons for wanting to meet someone often differ between two people.

@@ir9567I’m not making an argument for her overlooking red flags. Im specifically talking about meeting someone online who she would have never met in real life without that. I understand your desire to blame her for her own death, that is not my goal.
There are so many people who get under these comments and blame the black women for what she should have known and never take inventory of themselves and how they contribute to how black women operate as a group.
When a black woman says I’m not interested because:
      1. He doesn’t have a job. She’s a gold digger
      2. He has children. She’s too picky
      3. He doesn’t make what she makes. She’s too uppity
      4. He lied about where he’s living. He might not want you to know yet
      5. He lives with his mom. His baby mom probably taking him to the cleaners.
      6. He’s not as educated as me. Well, school ain’t for everybody.
As a group we have a “give a 🥷🏽a chance” mentality. There are women on this platform attempting to retrain bw and are being called everything but a child of God for doing so. So it is clear that black people by-in-large are not interested in bw operating differently because a lot of bm would be single. However, the minute she is harmed, they call out all the red flags in a comment section.

These people know exactly what lie to tell you to get you in your feelings, and make you crazy for them! Also, never date nor marry someone that you feel sorry for. Trust me, i know about these things. Have you ever dated a person for eight years, yet they had an online dating profile, stating that he is a single dad and nothing will be taken serious until they're number is in his phone and they are dating? Oh, ok. It hurts me to see just how gullible some women can be when it comes to wanting a man or searching for one. R.I.P. Lauren Charles. 😔 🙏 Lauren Charles could've done all the proper investigative research on this guy and & sadly she could've faced the exact same fate. The demon that Lauren Charles married is evil & unfortunately no amount of background checks could hinder this demon from wreaking havoc in Lauren Charles' life. I grew up in the 1990s before the existence of the world wide web & obviously before the existence of dating websites & dating apps. Realistically, many women dating during the 1990s were sadly facing the same terrible fate of being *urdered as Lauren Charles did when these women met men at work, in the grocery store, at church or anywhere except the internet. Background checks are wonderful IF the background check itself features current & accurate info. Also, if a person is not convicted by a court of law in the U.S.A. of any crimes or their criminal offenses have been expunged from their criminal record, then the person won't have an actual criminal history & therefore their background check information will essentially be empty. All women & men - stay safe whether you communicate with people online or in-person. ❤

You can't show somebody else love if you're being abused by them, because in that situation, you're not even loving yourself, so how can you give someone something you don't even have for yourself. No woman is safe if she is dealing with a male. It doesn't matter the situation.

Truth be told this could happen to anyone of us, on or offline. Yes we can do our best to take precautions and background checks but even when you meet and marry and be with that person for years.. They can turn around and kill you when you try to leave. So many of these stories today. You can be poor or rich and the person you meet can be poor or rich and still kill you. No one is exempt. The only way to try and not risk yourself is to be single and celibate which I am but my condolences to her and all others who were looking for love and companionship. Be safe everyone and nothing wrong with love just do the best you can and take your time before being serious and before giving your body, your home address.

When dating as well as in relationships, documemt EVERYTHING, just as govt agencies and businesses do. Treat your life as a business. If youre married, take out a life insuramce policy. Do background checks, but don't stop there. Photo and document his vehicle, adresses, get family member names and their addresses, does he have children? What are their names? Get his drivers license and SSN, place of work, his best friends contact info. You'll have to be your own private eye. May seem like too much, but when I ended up having to track down my ex fiancée, I had just about everything I needed.
