I would love to see the stadium filled with all the brave people who helped with this daunting project and sell tickets to all of us who want to applaud them and thank them. I bet it would fill the stadium!
I had a chance years ago in staying in a high rise in Honolulu to observe all the various activities in the harbor below me and this extremely violent accident with the bridge collapse and the giant transport vessel has at times seemed almost unbelievable in scope. It has been a unique education to observe all that is occurring to make the harbor functional again and to see all the complex engineering and the various cranes, support vessels, the daring specialists in dismantling the metal bridge parts and going through the recycling of damaged materials. I am grateful for this opportunity. I regret the tragic loss of life and for the brave recovery for loved ones to find closure.
In steel construction, a spud is a tapered punch used to align steel through the bolt holes until it is secured with the appropriate fasteners. I’m imagining what they are referring to as spuds, would be steel columns, lowered to the sea bed to locate the barge. A no-spud zone being a area with underwater obstructions and or features at risk of damage from the spuds, like the mentioned gas line.
Ofcourse i just say it and you mention the Snowbirds is the span to big to have something like in Windsor Ontario and Detroit it looks like it but support on both sides and tall towers like Golden Gate bridge
Great video I really like your coverage, from Hudson NC. I was wondering what is that crane is doing dropping what looks like a big weight in the water?
Okay I see and understand there doing lots work on Dali at dock, But were Dali was at bridge area, they got get that big piece white bridge on barge and get heck out there it big frigging eye Sore.
Hi Captain Andy, I was Late getting here, But I have A few Questions. 1. That Ship we saw going out. What are they Transporting? 2. Why can't they Use their own Power but still be guided by the Leading Tug Boat? 3. On a Personal note: Are You Native to Baltimore, or some other Place? Now, Information I want to share with you, is that according to the news, The Dali is going to be in your area for (i think) a few weeks or so, and then they said that the Dali will be transported I guess using it's own power, and head down to Norfolk, Virginia. And once there, will get a big but temporary repair, is that right? Anyway, Thanks for showing us some activity. I like to wait for the live is over, so I can make a better comment. I will check back again next time. Blessings. Terry
Not sure what was in the Ship's hold.Probably best to let the tugs maintain the headway. St. Simons Island, Ga. 8th generation. If the ship is deemed seaworthy under it's own propulsion, I don't see why it would not . Thanks T
As it navigates south, the ship will have to pass under the Bay Bridge linking Annapolis to the Delmarva peninsula, and I have seen reporting suggesting that if it is sailing empty it will be too high in the water to clear that bridge. But I have not independently verified that reporting.
Crane operators of this level never lack for work. They are working blind so they cannot see what they are grabbing onto only their strain gauges tell them they are lifting something.
I'm from Rocky Ford Colorado retired military, have watched your UA-cam from the onslaught of this ordeal great view bless you all

I was starting to have doubts!

Sorry you missed the live, but it's here!
I'm watching it at 725 pm Eastern i have seen blue Angels in Toronto with the Snowbirds love your video's
Ofcourse i just say it and you mention the Snowbirds
is the span to big to have something like in Windsor Ontario and Detroit it looks like it but support on both sides and tall towers like Golden Gate bridge
New bridge will look similar, but different construction
One group builds it, another group salvages it.
Are you going to cover the rebuild of the bridge???
Say Good Bye Dali its Nice to see you go!
Will they cut the truss that we can see into smaller segments?? it looks like it would be quite a heavy lift otherwise.
👍
one still picture would show all the action today
Great video I really like your coverage, from Hudson NC. I was wondering what is that crane is doing dropping what looks like a big weight in the water?
Are we goin to see anymore of the Dali?
I hope So!!
Vessel Finder and STL show Chessie on sight. Just arrived with Douglas J.
Good news. More lifting!
Okay I see and understand there doing lots work on Dali at dock, But were Dali was at bridge area, they got get that big piece white bridge on barge and get heck out there it big frigging eye Sore.
That may be another group that tackles the bridge supports
Do “we” know how long that last big piece of bridge truss is?
Who was coordinating the tug directions in moving the Doli?
I would think the Pilot.

Chessie is coming back without the claw.
Hi Andy. Chessie back at span without Gus and a large chain. caroline
Got it!
It may be an optical illusion but I seem to see that girder moving just a little bit.
i dont think they dragging it out lots of saftey here
STL is showing Chessie & Douglas J moving.
When you get another drum put some bags underneath the soda lands in the water it will float on the water
Yoo much drag. Drone flight is cut short
Any services: pipelines-cables damaged when bridge went down?
Haven't heard of any
Link to the cameras overlooking the Dali?? THANKS?
streamtimelive youtube channel
I've been hearing conflicting reports. Are they going to remove all the shipping containers off the Dali here or when it gets to Norfolk?
As it navigates south, the ship will have to pass under the Bay Bridge linking Annapolis to the Delmarva peninsula, and I have seen reporting suggesting that if it is sailing empty it will be too high in the water to clear that bridge. But I have not independently verified that reporting.
Is the WEEKS still. on the site?
At the Dali when we drove by this afternoon
Me from hudson NC I seen on the news the crew had to stay on ship something about their papers?
What is going to happen with the vehicles in the water? Are they going to leave them or get them out?
If there are any other vehicles in the water, I'm sure they will be pulled out.
Hopefully we will get to see this 😳😳
Is there some oxy cutting going on the large piece of bridge on the left?
Are they working 7 12 hour shifts?
I think they have been working daylight to dusk
Perhaps you have already said this so if I missed it I apologize, but are they using sonar to ascertain what is on the bottom of the river?
Absolutely. Crane operators have added advantage of being able to see realtime the imagery
Clean up still on-going on Dali itself...possible broadcasts of that work.
Hoping to get some!
Thx from SE Texas...!!!
Moving the Dali did not make the bridge and roadway vanish. All the reporters believe in magic. When will the original deep channel be fully cleared?
I think that by the end of May, Donjon will have the channel down to it's charted Depth
They seem to be dragging their feet to make all the money they can.
Crane operators of this level never lack for work. They are working blind so they cannot see what they are grabbing onto only their strain gauges tell them they are lifting something.
@@transmaster correct, they have made exceptional progress on this
You must be watching another bridge collapse somewhere else
At the risk of … You want more people to die? You obviously don’t know what you’re saying or have thought it out!
Yes because it's as easy as lifting silverware out of a kitchen sink!
