I really enjoyed this tutorial, I changed it up a little bit and threw some metallic into one of my flowers to highlight it a little bit more. Thank you for the inspiration

I was thawing some ice cream that needs to sit out and thought it a great time to come in there and do my daily journal entry with you. Like I said, mine don't look like yours, not quite where I would like to get to, yet I like what I'm making and the practice is helpful, feeling more confident as an artist, finding my way. I think the hardest words I had to learn to say were "I'm an artist"....sometimes I still feel like an imposter, even though I taught art at an alternative school for five years, had a show in the gallery of my town's City Hall, painted since I was a child (I'll be 80 next year), still hard some days to say "I'm an artist". Thanks for rekindling a flame. I've gotten out old art journals and am filling in empty pages again.

this was a really hard one for me, flowers are not my friends, but i won't walk away from a challenge, i like your choices. if your looking for ideas i do like buildings bridges, lighthouses , you may already have done any of those , talking about accidents, i'm looking over what i have done so far, & my cow looks like she's licking her nose , because of how my paints have bled together.😄😄😄

I love the idea of painting in a journal however I find that some journals aren’t a very high quality and then you don’t feel very good about what you are painting. What brand of journal are you using? Sorry if you’ve already mentioned that and I missed it. Thank you for doing this everyday.
Yes, some journals are frustrating. My favorites are Etchr Lab and Baohong cold press. The one I’m using in this video, I actually don’t know the brand 🤪 I bought it two years ago and never finished it. The paper is better than most but it isn’t cotton. It’s working for me and these quick sketches.
