No way they're good for like 60 or 70 amps. On the X Maxx go 6.5mm bullets on everything. Hot connectors can wreak havoc on systems, always good to go too big than too small.
Man i wish i had a way to try this tires on my x maxx for one run i believe i could give u more info about them vedio just don't give enough info i will have to try and get some soon they look good
Good afternoon friend is that I bought the black mamba tire for my Axial rbx 10 gorilla machine I need to know if the rings are another measure to which the original car brings
I see guys with xmaxx gear probs allot when they upgrade motor, i have the castle 2028 800kv sensored in mine and i still run mod1 gears and never had an issue but i do run alot thicker gears width wise than many guys i order my gears custom made from some china place but they make real thick hardened steel gears the only gear I've ever broken was the stock Traxxas junk one. Also bro what a good save man around the 5 min mark that was good driver mod 😋✌️🤙
I picked these tires up last week. Opened both packages and unfortunately it seems that both right side tires are defective or at least messed up out of the box. They come mounted and glued and the 2 right tires have about 4-6 indents on them as if the tires had been squeezed during the gluing process and air was removed. The tires are no longer round and don’t fully touch the ground in some spots. I sent Proline an email so let’s see what happens. My local hobby shop suggested putting a hole in it to allow air back in the tire. Not sure if that’s really the right answer considering they were $190 plus tax. I was really hoping these impressed you more. Maybe with new gears you should run it again? Can’t wait to see these on the 1100 XMaxx hopefully that’s coming soon! 🤞🤞👊👊👍👍
You could do a small hole in the wheel. Then once they have adjusted, seal up the hole with e6000 and let it cure overnight. Heck I may do that now. LoL
@@ExocagedRC yeah I guess that’s the best thing to do. I didn’t think about e6000 I definitely do that I have plenty of tubes in the garage. I did reach out to proline they asked for pics and a receipt so let’s see what they say. Your adhesive video when you compared the e6000 to everything else was awesome by the way. I always watch but don’t always comment. 👊👊👍👍
Gotta stay off by saying I found this video 'funny'...but, for an EXTREMELY good reason. Long story, short version: I bought an X-MAXX chassis on eBay, and built my own X-MAXX 8S, incl Castle MMX-8S ESC & 2028 motor, and several Vitavon parts. Pro-Line announced these tires around the same time I started building my X-MAXX, and I wanted them...but, by the time everything else was completed, they weren't yet available. Initially, I went with the same Duratrax tires you did...but, I didn't really care for them. Yes, they grip well, but they don't look like 'proper' monster truck tires...so, I replaced the Sixpacks with the Duratrax Hatchet X. On the plus side, they look like 'proper' monster truck tires...but, I didn't think they gripped as well (very close, but still not as well). Now that Pro-Line has finally released the Masher X HPs, we FINALLY have the "perfect" X-MAXX tire - looks like a 'proper' monster truck tire, and 'grips' like a Hyrax. I know you think the Sixpack tires look better...but, they just don't look like 'proper' monster truck tires. I'll try to order the Masher X HPs (if I can find anyone with them in-stock) in the next few days...and, once received, I'll compare them to the Hatchet Xs.
Awsome video!!! Wheels and tires look good. One question so I noticed that you are running the Max5 with the HW 1100, and I have a max5 in my x maxx with stock motor, and was wondering if between the castle 1100 and the hobbywing 1100 if there was a big difference in power or actually Tourqe being that the castle is a full size motor . I’m thinking of maybe HW 1100 or possibly castle 1100. Thanks!!!
Those new tyres looks like the side walls are at a 90° to the road surface. Surely this will make the car role more when cornering. The other six pack tyres look rounded from the side wall to road surface. What are your thoughts
Hey exo I'd like to see you get a kraton 6s I'd like to see what you do with it I'm sure a lot of other guys would do I got a castle 1717 with a Max 6 with only a 15 tooth pinion cuz it seems like it gets hot even the ESC I've heard that that motor runs hot anyway but the ESC gets to thermal on like a 17 t pinion just like to see your thoughts on one
@@ExocagedRC yeah mine pops diffs but I think it's due to a weak pin every time it pops on it breaks The Sun gear in half and the pin is shattered too so I take a hardened steel drill bit or allen wrench and cut it to size and use that instead
Hey Joe, What do you recommend for lubrication RPM rear axle carrier bearings for an X Maxx that will be used for bashing. Is grease okay or will that increase friction too much? Saw people on the forum use this stuff called Tuf-Glide basically a non stick teflon like oil. Thanks brother!
So when it comes to loose pinions, a solution is to use Loctite Retaining Glue 638 on the motor shaft and grub screw. This is a semi permanent solution, you will snap the motor shaft before the glue+grub fail. In boats we have put 20,000 watts through flex shafts glued to prop shafts, no grub screw. Some would see this as stupid but you're guaranteed to never have a loose pinion again, potentially damaging expensive gears. With all things there is a downside, to remove the pinion you will need to remove the motor and heat the pinion for 15 seconds with a micro torch, the glue breaks down at 500 degrees and the pinion will fall off once the grub is removed. Also no need to bake the loctite/motor at 170 degrees for an hour, can skip this step and just run the truck it'll get warm enough lol.
I just did this with the pinion gear in my kraton 6s and my buddy immediately runs up and grabs the pinion. He instantly regretted it. I didn’t feel bad for him at all he is a mechanic with plenty of experience in rc. We laughed for probably 10 minutes
Man used both and the proline just have a ton of grip , and being they cost as much as tires for my bass boat I've had no failures with PL but 2 DT failed bad , and yea both sets of proline belted were missing hub screws. Liked DT but had 2 pop back to back on grass.
Awesome video Joe. Always love the xmaxx content. Whats weight difference in the 2 tires? I have the lockup, hatchet & six pack x tires been running the mad max giant grip tires but also thought bout these.
@@ExocagedRC dang your slacking a bit. Lol. If you get a chance to get weights of both id for sure like to know the difference. I've ran the trenchers & badlands & yea they are decent tires but they are so heavy.
Six pack look great , but won't last long , prolines are great tires but I'm feeling there a bit to heavy , I'm only on my third run with the bad lands , I hope they don't tear things apart , like bulk head and diffs n drivelines 😵🤪😳
Rolling front flip turns into a full gymnastic routine from the Xmaxx! LOL!
😀😀😀
Nice. Never let me down. Sooo informative
Best wreck yet 🤘
Once again another good video X maxx all the way, I have got max6 can I use dean's connectors, b nice to know thanks 👍

I would not put Deans on a Max 6. XT90’s work great for me.
Just left the Hobbyshop seen pics of the Vitavon Bulkheads for the X-Maxx about to release. Can’t wait to see them when you get them.
Yeah I guess I’ll put that on the stronger yellow Xmaxx
Who's awesome you are thank you for this

Would you mind putting a link in the description for those wheel nuts?

2.6” wheels. The Proline Vice Crushlocks are what you need
@@ExocagedRC thanks friend💪🏼😬👍🏻🇵🇷
Check out the GDS spur gears, I’ve been railing on one for awhile in my castle x maxx and it’s doing just fine
I’ve also had a lot of luck with GDS on the TLR 5ive -b e
This is because of the vibration phenomenon of the motor mount upon landing impact.
The dowel pins required to secure the motor mount are important.
This could be it, it did seem to back off a tiny bit.
I just ordered the badlands mx57 the one with the same raid rim as the mashers i finally tore a belt on my powerhobby raptors after 2 years 😅

Yeah I’ll try some new wider gears for it. I like mod 1 for the most part.
Wfo makes the best...mod 1.5 dbore gears ⚙ But haven't been in stock in months
Probly mod 1.5 if thick
@@ExocagedRC can I ask what you like about mod 1 vs mod 1.5? I have the wfo gears 30/35 on the max5 hw 800kv . Besides being noisy they are great!!
are these better for street or dirt???
Is it belted or more balony?

Hi there I messaged you recently about the esc for a ftx geo hobywing 1060. Did you have any suggestions please. Many thanks 😁
Was wondering if the belt drive for the Xmaxx is a better system?
No I’ve seen too many skip a lot or have bearing heat issues due to the tension. I won’t ever try one in this.
@@ExocagedRC cool good to know..hey every come across any hex extensions for the ryft just want to make it a bit wider

I think these are best for the heavier DBXLE.

Love the badlands
I prefer the proline 4.3 trenchers for double and triple backflips. You just have to reglue those six packs once in a while.
That’s why you don’t bash with belted tires
They’re probably just not heavy enough. Not enough inertia to carry through.
I personally try to stay with all tires beadlock.
The prolines look WAY better
i wanna see you get a rc sherp
Yeah me too. 😀
Must b a ton of chassis flex in that truck. OR the body mount is almost useless.
That’s normal for an Xmaxx.
Everything is Better in Slow Motion! Haha!
Brake tap a jump lip! Please!!
you got stripped on pinion gear it is a lot bashing backflip
That was thunder rc he ripped three of them six
Lolololol so funny dude
rims is too big lol
I wil never get an x maxx for the simple fact that im not going to constantly re attach the stupid body. Terrible design.
