I'm glad the hobby has evolved to where belted tires are a regular, common option now. I remember when we had to make our own belted tires with tape & glue on the inside.
Now if they could only start offering tires with the white lettering already done so we don't have to do it ourselves.
Check out the M2C chassis brace for the XMaxx!!! Keeps the bulkhead together without adding much weight. Those tires looked like they performed well!! Stay safe and bash on from Colorado!!!
I love belted tires, got a set of badlands on my tekno et48 and it just has so much control. Now I am looking for a set for my sct, hope to find a set soon.
Hey Jason! New sub here. Like the content.
The "Chassis Brace" from M2C, plus the Hot Racing aluminum tie bar plates (front and back) will all but eliminate those chassis and bulkhead issues you're having. It leaves a little flex in the chassis but not enough to allow things to be ripped up so easily. The Hot Racing aluminum tie bar plates stiffen up the bulkhead areas while the Chassis Brace keeps the front and back from spreading apart too much. For light to medium bashing you will seldom, if ever, break a bulkhead or chassis. If you're sending it big (50+ft and such) it will still help a bunch. But as you know once you start sending things "to the moon" anything can happen and often does. I also recommend using the lightest non belted tires you can find when bashing/jumping. The balloning actually helps with control and the softer tires help cushion landings. The stiffer belted tires are not only heavier but they transfer a lot of the impact energy to other parts by being so hard. I use the M2C wide kit that has the 24mm hexes on em and run Arrma 8S Backflip tires (from the Outcast 8S) on my Xmaxx for bashing. Everything M2C makes for the Xmaxx is worth the cost imo. I run all 16 of their upgrades on my Xmaxx. (This is not a paid endorsement of M2C lol).
Cheers!
Great channel!💪...Do you think the 1/5 scale Jetko XMT King Cobra's or Tomahawk's will be a good replacement upgrade for the X-Maxx and the new XRT using the factory gearing w/o gearing up for the different wheels and tires? Thanks for your help/knowledge on the hobby...Always keeping it Fun😆
You should build an mt410 bro. I’m positive you’d be able to appreciate everything that there is to offer with that rc, everything from aftermarket support to amazing craftsmanship.
I have considered a Tekno so many times. Not sure why I’ve never bought one.
@@JasonPerrinRCVlogs it’s right up your ally man, no joke.
I found, that if I never use my xmaxx, nothing ever breaks.
I had the same problem with my Xmaxx and I think it’s the metal servo saver and steering stuff. I took all the upgrades off and put stock plastic stuff back on and never broke it again. I had all the hot racing steering stuff on it but since I took it off I’m good. It sucks because it looks really good too. Lol
@Jason Perrin RC Do you recommend the Pro Line Reservoirs? I been debating. Appreciate the Vid's! Keepem coming!
Cool video i used to own an 8s X-Maxx i didn't drive it that much and traded it for a widemaxx dumbest trade i ever did and i regret it to this day. But i'm thinking about buy another X-Maxx that i will keep permanently and i won't sell. What upgrades would you recommend for a stock out of the box X-Maxx? Let me know i love you're videos.
Hi Jason, what is the model/ item number of these tires?
The only monster truck with the main chassis cut in half is the x-maxx. Just like Sledge, traxxas have to change to a metal chassis and come out again.
wide arm?? widner?
What shock
Setup are you using with the ProLine shocks?
Beast 👍👍
HR makes a Aluminum one Upgrad for the Steering bare
Sweet! 😎👍
Interesting? Has I have X maxx too💯🍻👍
Which servo are you running
2085X
I like em🤙
Thanks for the information! May I know your pinion/spur gear ratio?

Where can I get these bad looking tires at
Do you know the weight difference between these and the stock wheels and tyres?
No. I never used the stock tires.
What gearing? I run WFO 1:1 ratio, 30P/30S.

Your Tire Profile is not right, reverse
My tire direction is correct. I’ve seen a few people with these tires facing the wrong way. Were you one of them?
@@JasonPerrinRCVlogs Typically, if you have a V pattern, from the top view the point of the V should face forward like an arrow. This is because the underside of the tire will plow debris eliminating it to the side to reach hard contact on the lower surface. Having a reverse V, with point facing the back from the top view will try to accumulate loose material under the tire, which could make for looser traction. With these tires though, it probably is negligible either way. Currently you have reverse V.
@@krupert8355 Except in this case where the tire tread is to resemble a fang. Hence "King Cobra" ;)
@@JasonPerrinRCVlogs Oh yeah, I totally agree, esthetics wise and I guess... maybe intended design wise that makes sense. But if we consider the difference between what those little fangs do compared to the larger side blocks, I think the fang reversal would be unnoticeable. But yeah when I learned about the fangs, I thought it was an odd decision to design them pointing that way marketing wise.
