Is there a option to hide labels until you step into the 'circle'? I can imagine a spot on the map with lots of nades and if you would see all of labels at once it could get crowdy and confusing.
Great Guide! One question currently nobody seemingly knows is. Can I create a workshop map with this guides? So somebody could download the workshop map and the file is already loaded?
I'm a month late but am I able to change the grenade type from say a smoke to a flash in the files. I've tried naming the type what it wants to be named in the console but it doesn't change anything and I've tried changing the subtype as well but that didn't work either.
It doesn't take the value from console directly, as u see later I edited aim instructions directly from mirageGuide.txt file which allowed me to change so. Watch the end of the video carefully, hope it helps. Sorry for my accent, I know it can make things difficult.
and is there a way to delete text? annotation_clear delets the position and spot but not the text. either eay thank you for your help already! exciting new feature!
no it works fine. You have to change the values from the saved file directly. You can use this for your help. Would suggest to create a new file since you might get confused www.reddit.com/r/GlobalOffensive/comments/1gryhvb/how_to_create_guides_while_also_changing_color_of/
You can pass empty string arguments while creating nodes, if you want to reverse you can go to the title description values and remove the text from there.
Hopefully valve will add native binds for all of this with menu popups because barely anyone will learn how to use this when it’s this complicated
Such a great video. Can't describe how useful this is. With the VS Code walkthrough as well. Just great.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you I've been fiddling with this so much and was just getting frustrated without a proper guide!
Glad I could help!
Thank you for the guide! I love this feature but I might wait until valve makes it more approachable. Great video nonetheless!
ive been looking for this thank you
Glad I could help

Yes, you can.
Just change:
FadeInDist = 1.0
FadeOutDist = -1.0
but this might be too low, so just check what works for you
Huge Thanks!
Glad it helped!
You are the greatest
cool quick guide

Things have changed since then, I will make an updated video along with how to publish it to workshop
very nice guide
Glad it was helpful!
How do i change the "aim instructions" text? In your grenade example it didnt take your text, too. I cant get it to work.

@@cs2kitchen ok so it is indeed a bug. I think i was going nuts.. Guess the feature is not quite ready yet.
do i need to add .txt when trying to load the annotations?
No, just make sure it is in annotation folder. It is also not case sensitive so there is no problem if you hit the capslock randomly
@@cs2kitchen ok
can we do flash/molly/nades too?
You can do anything, but if you use grenade command the icon still shows to be a smoke
@@cs2kitchen can you change the icon? Because on workshop maps you have icons for flash and molotovs. Could be something with the ID but I am not sure
The "grenade" command isnt properly working yet right? still getting the "aim instructions"..
