Waiting for cyborg nail or even better technology to gain height
hey cyborg, I was wondering if it would be possible to lengthen femurs by 5-6cm using the newest WB nail and be running again in 6 months? How much quicker can the process be made by implementing a perfect diet, perfect mobility and rehab program, perfect sleep, supplementation, a good mindset and a young, fit, mobile adult.
Possibly - assuming your bones heal on point and the surgeon clears you to do so. I do think your plan is optimized to have the best chance! Good luck ; )
Are there any complications with age, such as disability or stiffness, or even difficulty in practicing certain sports? And is the metal rod inside the bone removed, or does it remain for life?
Thank you
If you go with a good surgeon and you do your part as the compliant patient a lot of that will never happen, however everything takes time to fully recover
Just out of curiosity, how does bmi work with LL? Like if I’m 5’6 130 before it and now I’m 5’10 130, am I considered underweight and I’ll need to put on 30 pounds to be proportionate weight wise?
So your height increases but your weight remains the same which affects your BMI bc it's an equation. BMI is calculated using your height and weight. If you were 5’6” and 130lbs before, your BMI would be around 21 which is within the normal weight range. After LL, if you’re 5’10” and still 130lbs, your BMI would drop to around 18.6, which is considered underweight again, according to the calculation
What would be the best exercise protocol prior to lengthening to minimize recovery time?
I should do a video on that shouldn't I? haha
@@Cyborg4Life that would be very useful
My height is 175 cm, wingspan is 182 cm and would it be a disproportional if I lengthen 7 cm for femurs(I have short femurs) and 5 cm for tibias?
Hard to say without pictures but no by numbers you'd be okay for about 2 inches
@@Cyborg4Life I can show you, where can I send you my picture mock up?
Hey bro
I saw a picture of someone lengthening their femur really high up on the bone.
There was a discussion a while back on the tendon attachment points and torque generation.
Do you know anything about the topic of lengthening an extremely small amount above the glute attachment point on the femur or above quads attachment point on the tibia?
By also lengthening an extremely small amount in these areas you could retain the same torque generation. There could be other complications though.
I doubt there's a lot of info about this but if you do know something maybe you could make a video on it.
This is a good question. I think this would need my research with Dr. Stu McErlain to take off. But we need to seek funding first. So we can only speculate unless actual experiment is done
@@Cyborg4Life okay thanks bro
Hey doc if I am about 5”10 .. can i get to 6”3 safely? Or what height should I aim?
I know I am not short and I an appreciated by everyone I love my life too , just want to to get taller
Bro how are you unhappy with 5'10 😅 Thats my goal height
(No judging tho) and 5 inches is possible by lengthening 3 inches (7.62cm) on femur and 2 inches on tibia that is called quadrilateral lengthening, more than 8 cm on femur and more than 5 or 5.5 on tibia is highly unrecommended because of both proportions and complications and actual surgeons wont exceed that, so max of 5 inches, but beware of your arm length and wingspan, you might skew your proportions with 5 inch.
Okay being short and proportional is a lot worse than being taller and a little disproportional but being tall and disproportional over being average and proportional? Idk
Hello Victor, I am 32 years old and I want to make LLS, I go to the gym everyday, do Muay Thai, yoga and ride a bike 3 days a week. My height now is 1.69cm and I want to reach 1.77cm with precice max method to my femurs(I have my femurs 40cm and tibias 40cm). Do you think is good to grow 8cm and get back to normal with my sports routine or is better to grow less? Thank you for your time.
I would say as an athlete that does that much and has tibias and femurs of the same length (rare but happens - assuming via x-ray) I would lengthen a tad more conservatively if you do something like Muay Thai. I think 6-6.5cm on femurs seems to help maintain biomechanics more
@@Cyborg4Life I just do Miya Thai as a hobby, do you still think to reach 8cm on the femur is too much or do you prefer 6.5cm as much? Thank you for your response
Gotcha I would say that if height matters to you a lot you can shoot for that and see if your body allows you to reach it. I know a lot of patients get there but it's not guaranteed so it takes a lot of work and luck ; )
I tore my achilles tendon long time ago but now i can run play soccer but if did tibia will have any damage to the tendon that was previously ruptured?
Great question and the answer is possibly because it will be further stretched but calves could also be stretched properly to accommodate for the change
@@Cyborg4Life so no doing tibia?🥲
@@Cyborg4Life hope you answer this question
I do it to due to cancer (my left leg was 18 cm shorter than my right leg) so I go through all that crap without even gaining height😭😭
Wow so sorry to hear that! I hope you are doing okay now?
@@Cyborg4Life I currently have the Precice internal nail. The goal is 5 cm and today I stand at 4.5 mm at the rate of 0.75 a day. Maybe u can help me with 2 questions I have?:)
1. What supplements do you recommend taking and when?
2. On the screen of my controller an error message showed up: "motor encoder failure", do you know what it means? I looked in the manual and it showed the message but I don't understand what it means!
Thank you very very much! If you have further advice I would love to learn from you!
Hello Vic and everyone, do we have any updates on new lengthening methods such as stem cells...?
We might actually
@@Cyborg4LifeFr?
@@Cyborg4Life Victor any news?
What do you think would happen if you took muscle growth steroids after lengthening? Would it undergo hyperplasia because the muscle is being stretched?
I think it would do what it does before lengthening but yeah hyperplasia and fiber splitting would occur as that would happen anyway from a substantial amount of length - it's called distraction histogenesis
@@Cyborg4LifeThanks!
Could you make a video about: is spine lengthening possible?
no
Go look at a human spine
Yes in future if we could reopen the growth plate in vertebrae@@aliasonline1
Extremely risky as you could paralyse the patient
But is this true?@@emilstorgaard9642
