I do enjoy this year Tropical Rouge Precure as the theme of the Series is base on Islands, Oceans and Mermaids. I do like the main characters in the Series are they came a long way from when they started out like Laura who was originally thinking of using the Precure as her pawns just to get approval from the Mermaid Queen in hope to become queen herself, but after getting to know Manatsu, Sango,Minori and Asuka and grew to liked Laura did realise her mistake and regret using them. I alway knew from the begining of the Series that Laura will become a fifth Precure as Cure LeMare to fight along side with her friends against the Witch of Delay and her minons. All the other characters are great but there are of the characters which I didn't like at the beginning which are Masami Kakuta and Yuriko Shiratori. Masami Kakuta - In episode 12 she's obesses and up tight with finding the mermaid and suspect the Tropical Club without proof. Worst of all Masami Kakuta still haven't apology for her cold heartless behaviour towards the Tropical Club which bother me so much and we never learn any background to why she liked that. Yuriko Shiratori- In the beginning of the series she looked to be a cold heartless person with no emotion and being negative towards Manatsu and her friends. I know in episode 31 that we finally learn of Yuriko and Asuka's background story that they were once friends until the insistant cause them to break because of their differences. In episode 42 they did make amends of their friendship but t I was expect more from this episode like if Yuriko could have follow Asuka as she transform into Cure Flamingo to battle a Yaraneeda and Yuriko would stepped in to protected Cure Flamingo while knocked down and then reveal to her that she already knows her identity from the previous episode and apology to Asuka for what has happened in the past. Also apology to Asuka's friends too for being negative towards them during the series and become friends too as a good proper ending to this episodes. It's a shame that the Japanese writers never made a very interesting story for Yuiko in the early episodes like she could have become the sixth Tropical Rouge Precure in the series because it could have change her life and her attitude towards Asuka. If the Witch of Delay had decided to make Yuriko as her pawn in the fight against the Tropical Rouge Precure as a dark Precure while brainwash. Then later they'll discover that Yuriko is the dark Precure and they'll free her from the Witch of Delay's control and Yuriko will final become a sixth member as Cure Swan. But this is just my own opinion and ideas back then so I'm going to have to accept this year series is done. I do like Chongire, Numeri and Elda because they're very different from the past villians as really care for each other. Although I'm not too sure about the Butler because he rarely show any emotional as he's very demanding to collected the human's motive for the Witch of Delay. Plus I always have some suspicious that Butler is the master mind behind the whole thing as shown in episode 44 as the Witch of Delay reuniting with Cure Oasis and disappear after accepting Oasis's offer of friendship, Butler becoming more dangerous threat than the Witch of Delay as he turn himself into a giant Yaraneeda to continue carrying out the Witch's original plan to destroy the world. Luckily Butler was defeated by Tropical Rouge Precure and Chongire, Numeri and Elda did have a redemption in the end because they really care for each other as they learn a lot from the Precure unlike Butler who only care about his own goal. I was hoping that there's going to be a time skipped in this series finale of Tropical Rouge Precure because I wanted to see Manatsu, Sango, Minori, Asuka and Laura as adult in the future. As well as things will change in the Grand Ocean with Laura as the next Mermaid Queen who won't forget her friends this time with the memories eraser banned forever so the mermaids will remember the humans and visit them. But that never have happen in this final episodes of Tropical Rouge Precure however I'm glad there's a happy ending as the memories eraser machine is destroyed and everyone fully regain their memories especially Manatsu, Sango, Minori, Asuka and Laura.
I appreciated the call back to the disciplinary committee head (was her name ever mentioned) high-key knowing there was in fact, a mermaid and that she wasn’t crazy like everyone else though she was. 😂
Laura: "I am a mermaid." Manatsu: "(And) I am her girlfriend." Manatsu´s mother: "OMG, my (future) daughter-in-law is a mermaid, but as long as my daughter is happily ever after with her it´s alright."
I can’t believe Laura the Mermaid would reveal her true form in front of everyone like that. But I suppose it’s for the better. There are people out there who really love cute mermaids like Laura.
