Can you not take Jesus name in vain please, why do you people cry about being offended while being so casually and deliberately offensive? You make it impossible to be an ally.
I'm not at all shocked by these whiny, try-hard edgy comments. I just think it's funny that they ever thought there would be a chance in hell that Dragon Age wouldnt have trans characters as an option at this point. Cyberpunk 2077 had the option, and so did Baldur's Gate 3. It's not going away. One of these days, you will get over it and realize that "weird" people will always exist in your proximity. There is no changing that. Especially not in creative fields like video games.
Suuure, "not going away". In my times we had emo and punks and they also were talking how they're not going away. These days it's non-binary instead of emo ("mom, it's not a phase! That's who I am! I even have special colors to identify with!"). And considering how western gamedev industry is falling apart... Yep, good luck. Btw, I love the option to create a guy character in Hogwarts Legacy and put him in a female dorm - not creepy at all, good job.
Don't worry, everyone is just playing Japanese, Korean and Chinese games at this point. These western devs can conitnue making games for non-existent "modern audience", till they end up in bancrupcy.
@BigChiken44 This is super ironic, considering I go to local emo and punk concerts all the time. Why do you think it ever went anywhere? Were you ever part of that scene? Why would you be the expert if you don't even know how it's doing these days? It's not even comparable, because this isn't a subculture. It's just an inherent part of identity, and it has existed for all of humanity's existence. Here in Germany we had the Institut für Sexualwissenschaft which was founded in 1919, and provided services for trans people, as well as performed studies on them. All of this got destroyed in 1933 by the horror that came after, but we persist regardless. You are unobservant, is the nicest thing I can say.
@BigChiken44 I'm sorry to inform you of this too, but there are Japanese games where you can be nonbinary. Harvestella, published by Square Enix and directed by Hiroto Furuya, allows you to make a nonbinary character. Japanese games even have had trans characters, such as Erica in Cathrine. Somehow imagining that Asian countries are all anti-woke is pretty insane and disrespectful to those countries, honestly.
@BigChiken44 saying all of this while games like Baldurs Gate 3 and Cyberpunk smash sales records is crazy to me. You people literally live in fairy tale land.
If there isn’t any possibility to increase body type mass to max on butt or chest, arms calves and so fort while wanting to push inclusivity in other areas. BioWare by not acknowledging that gamers come in different shapes, sizes and forms, the lot of you are going against your own “inclusivity” statement by reducing the possibility to go beyond the standard generic body type… hogwash legacy did the same mess as well as starfield. This character creation sucks compared to saints row.
Can we not just unequipped them? If I remember correctly, you can get rid of your staff in origins and inquisition. I don’t remember if you can do that in dragon age 2. Wouldn’t we be able to do the exact same thing here or what do you mean if that’s not what you’re talking about? Genuinely asking.
@@MerWitch02 in Origins, yes. In Inquisition, no. That’s why I was hoping for a weaponless mages because we can’t trigger any skills in Inquisition without a staff.

with the reactions I'm seeing on this game and in the comments, it seems like gamergate 2 also doesn't want people with vitiligo to be in games as well...guess even in 2024 some people are still seen as monsters/creeps ..
They think a game featuring minorities of any kind is "ruining their immersion" and/or "destroying escapism" which is just code for "I'm racist/sexist and I'm oppressed!"
Omg the hair options and I am so happy the body tattoo options can be pieced out. I was worried they would be all or nothing. I am so excited to make accurate representations of my favorite OCs!
I was so worried when they said we could have different body types that they’d pull a BG3 and give us either “skinny and buff” or “tall and extra buff”. I’m so happy to see that isn’t the case with DAV.
the fact that there's so many people in the comments with steam coming out of their ears that there's (check notes) options for pronouns and top surgery scars that they are under no obligation to ever use themselves is.... baffling? like, trans people have been playing as countless cis characters in video games for donkey's years, but god forbid there be an OPTION to create a character that reflects themselves 🙄 why do people act like it's so hard to.... not click a button? to go play something that caters to them instead of wasting their own time being mad about things that don't actually affect them???? anyway, sadsacks with jacked up priorities and nothing better to do aside; LOVE the video OP, absolutely cracked up when you started whipping poor Rook around to show off the hair physics. I'm trying not to let myself get TOO hyped for the game, but and as somebody who loves being able to finely craft characters, I am definitely excited at the prospect of whiling away hours in this 😂

Can male elves have beards?
I don’t think so, I think it’s canon in DA lore that elves can’t grow beards
@@unifadewalker so NOW canon and the lore forbid something, interesting how that works, huh?
@@unifadewalker But they're allowed to have top surgery?
I wish we could have an option for mages for being weaponless.
It looks so good!
I chose you for my first look at the CC and I'm so glad I did. This is AMAZING! Love everything and the all the sliders!!! Can't wait to create my Rook.
Thank you for choosing me xx
with the reactions I'm seeing on this game and in the comments, it seems like gamergate 2 also doesn't want people with vitiligo to be in games as well...guess even in 2024 some people are still seen as monsters/creeps ..
@@saerykarty2971 A what?
They think a game featuring minorities of any kind is "ruining their immersion" and/or "destroying escapism" which is just code for "I'm racist/sexist and I'm oppressed!"
I miss Alastair.
I do too
It's amazing !!!!! Can't wait to play 😍
I'm trying not to let myself get TOO hyped for the game, but and as somebody who loves being able to finely craft characters, I am definitely excited at the prospect of whiling away hours in this 😂
@@forgreatjustice22 if they’re not your breasts, then no, you’re not. Something that you see as “mutilation” is life saving surgery to some people. If it’s not your body, fuck off.
Its time for you to be put into mental hospital, and mandatory
@@frishter which is also life saving, yes.
@myth7731 in about 1% of cases. The rest of the time it's murder. Childless I'm guessing?
@@frishter 'If they were the same, then you'd already feel represented with male/female options" Yeah, as usual, you don't even understand the argument at all. I don't know why you people are so ignorant but more than that. You sought out a tran persons youtube channel just to be hateful in the comments.
I'll ask you, sincerely, what did you think you accomplished with your comment?
Love your commentary ❤ so excited for this game, letsgooo!
Oof, Eddie... some folks are saying nasty stuff about you in their reaction videos. I'm sure you're already commenting these comments like a Hawke (see what I did here?), but I hope you're not being dissuaded to share your love for this franchise on your personal channel and social networks. Thanks for making this video. :) Trans allies got your back.
Can’t wait! Thanks for sharing! ♥️
Omg love this. CC looks amazing and your Rook ommmmmmmmmmmmgggggggg love him 🙂
AHHH I need this yesterday!!! So surreal to think 10 years of waiting is almost over :')
I was going to go rogue or warrior but I don't think I can resist the new battle mage fighting style!
Love this video and LIVING for the representation Veilguard is bringing! I cannot WAIT to play this game!
That looks so good. I can‘t wait to spend hours in cc to create my Rook and Inky. While I won‘t use all of the options (I myself am not into scars or tatoos much), I‘m glad Bioware included so many options to choose from.
What we found out about the character creator really changed the concept for my 1st Rook. For the forst time, I might just be able to make a self insert character that will feel real. So chuffed with the scar options!
Nobodies going to see me for at least a month after this releases lol
@@glutenfreepixels152 bot
amazing video! genuinely so touched at the inclusion of top surgery scars in the cc! Its amazing that they're allowing such representation x
Really looking forward to CC. Love how they've managed to create a detailed CC but still make it understandable and user friendly. Most of the time I just go with a preset, otherwise I end up with some kind of wierd mess. This looks fun and hopefully I can make a decent OC on the 31st.
Currently gnawing at the bars of my enclosure waiting until I can spend hours in character creator
I love the wide array of choices, so excited for Veilguard!!
Can female dwarves have beards?
I don't believe this game has any options that are tied to any specific gender so I'd say yes from everything I've seen so far. This wouldn't be specific for dwarves either
yes
Oh this is so dang pretty, I love the trans rep with the top surgery scars, can a trans lady rook have a bulge as well if they want?
I wonder I’m going to watch so many character creation videos tomorrow and I’m commenting on your comment sorry remember to come back and see if I have an answer
@@BrynParkerGaming honestly if rook can have girl bulge I think I'll pass away fr
Im no american but i really need to understand how identity works. Do you need to choose NonBinary for a Female character romance the ladies like Neve? or it doesnt matter regardless?
You can romance any companion regardless of the gender. Play whoever you like - all romances will be available.
@@MarikaStarflower okay thanks. I was thinking like in Inquisition, Sera can only fall inlove with a female. Also Cullen who only likes Female Elf
@@PEWPlays Yes, Inquisition was like that, but Veilguard is more like DA 2 - where every companion romance was available for any gender (expect a DLC one, but he was the least popular anyway).
@@MarikaStarflower lol I just tried to romance him for the first time and he was like sorry I belong to the chantry 😂😂😂 love thag
@@MerWitch02 I liked Sebastian and his romance was unique (on Friendship, anyway). But he did seem a bit less fleshed out in compare to others.
Thank you for the video! This has made me so excited for the game and I love your coverage of it 🥰
This looks so good, I can't wait to spend hours in it making all my dragon age characters and all my other Ocs lol 😂
So thankful to the team for the representation, I know it means so much to the community!! 🎉🎉🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
finally some representation for the ugly people, I agree!
@@moominboobin1594 I know right! It's so diverse you can finally make a self insert that looks like YOU! you know... Like you said.. Ugly! So happy for you! I am EXCITED for the hair!!!! Thank you Eddie for the video
I agree, the CC is outstanding! Can't wait to create my characters. The hair are impressive given all the choices and the hair physic. I love how much we can customize Qunaris also. The UI is beautiful and seem easy to use. And of course all the customizations options and inclusivity !!! So happy !! They COOKED.

Great video! We're all so excited for this game, I need it asap
I'm guessing your going to play as an elf when the game comes out 😂
The video is great - really informative. CC looks amazing. As a day 1 dragon age player seeing the amazing range of hair, body types and all the other options is a dream come true. Glad to see all the inclusiveness as well.
Your Rook looks awsome, Im so ready eat this cake already 🥺 ❤
This was a JOY to watch 😭 I feel the excitement through the screen WE ARE EATING GOOD 🫡
Thank you
thanks for the amazing preview!! you're doing awesome work.
Why they don't made qunari like DA2.. man
I’m so glad I’m not the only one who thinks that they had the best design in DA2
The qunari didnt look like DA2 qunari in the original, DA2 qunari were all same face with zero expression
All the people whinging about the lack of DA2 qunari makes me glad they're not an option in Inquisition and Veilguard
@@TheDanielvenom I misread my dumbass read somebody else’s comment and accidentally responded to yours. That is completely my fault and I do very much apologize.
In case it matters, the comment I was responding to or was trying to was saying that there are no female Qunari in dragon age 2 because they are too masculine But now they can literally be transgender.
So like I said, I responded to you by accident. I really do apologize. I did in fact delete that comment because it was in the wrong spot.
@@TheDanielvenom by the way, I do agree Qunari had the best design in dragon age 2

I get the feeling the neckbeard style might be chosen a lot in this game, damn. Any chance Bioware will release a fedora DLC?
CC looks great, going to have a lot of fun playing around with it. With any luck theyll release it a few days ahead of full release.
Loving your coverage of the game and looking forward to seeing what else you have up your sleeve. Ignore the scum and keyboard warriors. They dont speak for the majority of people. Theyre just upset because the only representation they get is the bad guys in WW2 games
lol the game isn’t even out yet and we’re like DLC? 😂😂😂 love that 😂😂😂😂
@@ZeroFighter No need to delete. The game will not succeed or fail because of inclusivity. Even if the game is terrible, inclusivity is a good thing. My top tip? If you don't want they/them pronouns or certain scars? Skip that toggle in CC. Problem solved!
@@ZeroFighter I understand wanting ME to be good, I've played and loved them all and I want the same thing. But Dragon Age has always been inclusive and it didn't stop the original ME trilogy being good. ME also has aliens like the Asari who are mono gendered so I don't think we have to worry about inclusivity ruining a franchise.
