Palm oil is better for the environment than other vegetable oil.
The worlds population has to be stabilised rather than going up constantly. Then you can build in sustainability.
Anti palm oil propaganda
I don't think so. Eyetech is simply hoping to get some attention by bashing palm oil and praying UA-cam will drop them a coin or two.
This account clearly has no clue on tech or sustainability issues. Ignore him/her they/them. I have already done EyeTech a great favor by dropping this comment here.
Allow me to describe the extent of corruption within the Indonesian government. Once upon a time, the government "discovered" an illegal palm oil plantation spanning 3.3 million hectares. Instead of prosecuting the culprit and seize their assets, the Indonesian government chose to legitimize the plantation. They did so by permitting the company to operate if they paid taxes and a fine.
Thats proof the opposite actually since these are corporation oil cartels and the Indonesian government is cracking down on them.
Legitimizing is good because now they have to abide by the law with stricter rules and monitoring and government got taxes and fines. Its on degraded land and only 20% of it anyway.
