Great spot for camping Jesse, the best experiences are when it rains at night and you're snug in the tent. Those beans, what is a Tangy Wilderness Sauce ha ha.
Thanks Chris. It was an awesome all night rain but nice and dry in the tent. Yeah I figured out their definition of that one at the time, but wasn't too memorable. Some mash or couscous on the side would have been good. Cheers
Thanks very much Richard! I have, just as a day walk a few years ago in very wet weather. Was unfortunately in a pretty rough state when I visited, but a cool lesser known spot nonetheless. Cheers
Haha great question. It was mostly kidney beans I think, and the sauce was just a general tomato-vege salty flavour. Not bad at all but sounds more interesting than it was!
I haven't. Zeb and I's night up Thompson's track was pretty windy and we were in Odysseys that handled well. I can't imagine the shape to be too aerodynamic. My old Kathmandu Mono was great for high winds being so low
There’s something about the bush after it rains, thanks for sharing 🏕
Thanks TJ, it was a great night tenting in the rain. Cheers
It sure can be dark in the NZ bush, can't it? Another great video. as usual; thanks for sharing!
Thanks again for watching! I thought the same on this trip. Thick cloud cover really makes it seem like night time in places sometimes.
Great vid. You always seem to make the bush itself look interesting.
Thanks Peter. Every trip I seem to notice new interesting things as I learn more (and hopefully film them!)

Really neat to see areas of the Kaimas i'm yet to get to! Always enjoy your videos. Have you ever been to the Salvation Hut?

BTW, what kind of beans and what does "a tangy wilderness sauce" taste like???

Have you ever put the indie 1 up in real windy conditions, how’d it go?
