Awesome video! It technically didn’t fix my issue, but it gave me the knowledge of the inner workings enough that I figured out how to fix my own issue! I really appreciated how straightforward and easy to understand it was, and the care you put into letting the audience see every part. I’d been trying to get this to work for three months now and I had a rapidly approaching deadline for a creative project I wanted to do, so this is a life saver. Thank you!

CG590c commercial grade is knotting up on bobbin side. Will try your method

Buenos días, gracias por darnos un rayito de luz. Las acciones valen mas que mil palabras. Es un pesar que no nos pueda dar un vídeo en español. Aún así, muchas gracias. Felicidades!

do you think you could do some simple tutorials explaining how to do backstitches/what the rest of the dials and such mean on the machine? i got one as a gift from my family and i know my way around a normal machine, but this one i’m.. learning! all the videos on yt are quite unhelpful. you were super awesome at explaining everything here so hopefully you’ll consider this!

I have this machine. The knob on the far left is your stitch Width. One is for straight stitch. The middle knob is the needle position. The far right is your stitch selection. You back stitch by pressing the reverse button. I think this machine has stretch stitches. Mine doesn't. But it's the same layout.

Muchas gracias por compartir su conocimiento 😊 Por favor podría enseñarnos a reparar el devanador de bobina? Al montarla se llena de hilo solo hasta la mitad de la bobina. Gracias de antemano

Hey those knobs go in Vertical not Horizontal. You will see they will come off when you move them. Just turn them up and down.

What’s the difference between this and the 590?

Hi! I have this machine and am a relatively beginner sewing machine user. I had the needle break and I replaced it; now it's not catching the bobbin thread and I can't sew at all. Do you have any recommendations for fixing it? I think it is a timing issue but I can't find any online documentation on fixing the timing of this specific machine. Thanks!

I would just make sure you have the bobbin wound correctly and have the bobbin tensioned properly. Breaking a needle shouldn’t have affected the timing, unless part of the broken needle is lodged somewhere it shouldn’t be. You may check with a local quilting guild or sewing class to see if anyone would be willing to take a look at it for you. Should t be a major issue.

      1. Follow these steps in the video to verify the tensioner is working properly.
      2. Verify bobbin is installed correctly.
