    They grow very well indoors in hydroponics as well, even in suboptimal lighting. (I think) I'm growing the Alabama red variety up at 52nd parallel indoors with no issues whatsoever.
    It's actually very neat, since the leaves that don't receive adequate light have a bright neon-green color with some red showing through, while the rest of the plant stays deep velvet red

      I would think if you put them in a brown paper bag and stuck them in the crisper drawer of the refrigerator they would last to next spring.

      To be honest I can't remember. I bought them 4-5 years ago. I take cuttings off of them each fall and root them indoors over winter so it's been 4-5 years since I have seen the tag for them.

    I only have a 10 10 10 flower food, and an orchid bloom fertilizer which is 1 3 1 lol so it seems none of these would be good for my coleus correct? Every vid I see recommends a low phosphorus number…

    • @Dr.Warren
      @Dr.Warren  Рік тому

      Recommendations on low P is because it binds to the soil and doesn't leach and rarely is a limiting factor in growth. You could run a soil test to see exactly what you need. I actually filmed how to take a soil test today. It should be up after editing in a few days

      Is a fertilizer necessary? I live in Illinois and have good soil. Had mine in a pot last year and it grew well in the shade with no fertilizer or any extra nutrients, it was kind of neglected at times lol.

    • @Dr.Warren
