Always on Solar4 Backup Camera

This is a how-to video; how we installed the AutoVox Solar 4 backup camera. Yes, you can have it ALWAYS on, or only on for backing. This camera's field of view is better than the Promaster ‘stock’ back up camera AND this AutoVox camera does not require continuous ‘hacking’ after each stop of the vehicle )as is needed for the stock promaster camera). The need to continuously ‘hack’ the stock camera is what drove me to buy this AutoVox.

The impetus was that I got tired of having to execute the hack on the Promaster backup camera. Since retiring, we take many more back roads which means frequently stopping for traffic signals in towns those back roads traverse, versus cruising past the towns via main highways. Stopping means needing to execute the hack again to keep the Promaster backup camera working as a rear observation camera. It became a HUGE hassle which I decided was worth spending the approximate 150 US dollars, to never need to execute again.
